I've been EDCing my ver2 for nearly a year now. It's 5.11 quality and still looks new even though it gets tossed around. Pros: Built like a tank, plenty of room and storage, CCW nicely with the right holster, water bottle sleeve is a bonus. Cons: BUCKLE SQUEAKS AND CREAKS every freaking step I take- it drives me nuts and is making me shop for an alternative...I've tried ranger bands, duct tape, hockey tape to make it stop to no avail, strap was designed by someone who hates sling packs, not ambi carry.
I got the original and no squeaks, I agree it would be nice to wear both ways but I am lefty and it works for me, I would like a slightly smaller version sometimes, but I just wear a fanny pack I can CCW in when I need to go minimal.
I’m wondering if a little Teflon spray would solve that issue. My version 1 doesn’t do make noise because it’s a much more robust steel or aluminum buckle. 511 solved one problem and created another problem when they thought they were upgrading the buckle
Enjoyed your review, I'm a 5:11 fan and I've had a few of there bags, very good quality, tuff gear. This is yet another great option to consider. Thanks for sharing 👍
I bought this bag same color when it was first released in 2019. This is by far the best bag I have ever used! My wife calls it my Murse. I call it my tactical carry all because it does just that. The larger strap allows for heavy weight when you need to load it down. The newer model of this bag is not as good. They got rid of the quick release buckle, and the sewn in holster strap. The sticking on the panel for CCW is not very strong, and will not hold the velcro paneled holsters at all. The first gen bag is better.
@@SmartSimpleSavings no doubt sling is great for a concealed carry, but if you need a bag that size for EDC, you probably need to reconsider your EDC list. I've travelled overseas for 2 weeks with a backpack that size. If you really do need a bag that size, get a backpack and CCW on your person.
That’s exactly the review I was looking for, great detailed overview that covered every aspect of the bag. Thanks
Excellent review. Thank you.

Great detailed review. Thank you for posting.
I’ve had the same bag for two years. Added a black whistle zipper pull where you have the small flashlight and a blacked out Heroclip as well.
Nice, the whistle is a good idea too. Hero clips are the best!

Thanks! They are coming! Got some good ones planned
I'm a pastor, and I've been eyeballing this bag. Any idea if it would hold a legal pad?
Yes a legal pad does fit, tested one this morning
Nice video..How much the bag please?Where you bought the bag please? What is the liter of the bag please?
Thanks! The bag is 13L, link in description to Amazon
What do you use to hold the pistol with the moveable Velcro piece?
I use my IWB holster, the width of the strap fits in my clip
I think once you get to that size, you might as well get a backpack and save yourself from shoulder muscle imbalance.
It is large for a sling but you can’t beat a sling when it comes to quick access to your ccw if you are carrying in a bag

Does A4 come in?
not sure what you mean
It’s so big! 😅
Way too big for a sling, might as well get a backpack at this point.
It is a big sling but for for quick and easy access to not only your gun but also the contents you can’t beat it
to big to be a sling
Sling is how it’s worn not the size. It is on the bigger side, 5.11 does make smaller ones
@@SmartSimpleSavings after 10 kg its best for the back to take a backpack. Especially for long day
Amazing review! Thank you.
