Why can't I stop listening to this song? I've played this song at least seventy times during the past 36 hours. It's as if it's injecting the gene-seed into me via song.
In case you can't understand the lyrics, "From ancient Terra, the Emperor commands His proud sons." "From revered bloodstock, these warriors are made His proud sons." "Supreme defenders, unchallenged in battle, Astartes!" "Warrior elite, unbreakable spirit, Astartes!" "Courage and honour, Emperor and Primarch, Astartes!"
More and more I’m coming to appreciate the ultra marines.. they don’t have a certain “gift” like the other legions, so they worked as hard as they could to be the best they could at everything. And they damn well do it too.
The big issue with the Ultramarines is how they were written to be completely insurmountable by a man named Matt. They have the ability to be much better than they’ve been portrayed. In a lot of ways they’re one of the most morally sound legions of Space Marines, alongside the Salamanders and Blood Angels. Also much like those two Legions, they’re more than mere warriors. In the case of the Blood Angels they’re artisans and the Salamanders are family men of hearth and home. The Ultramarines and especially guiliman however, they are civilization builders. The Realm of Ultramar is one perfect example of that and if times were different the Astral Claws (a likely descendant of the Ultramarines) fief in the malestrom could’ve been another. In a lot of ways they and their efforts are the closest to the emperor’s dream for humanity.
@@my8thaccount236 Furthermore, the stain of Ward has been washed away years ago. Both before him and after him, the Ultramarines have been badass. Thankfully, now with Space Marine 2, it seems many are finally understanding that.

just watched this movie again, its really, really good. I get how it didnt go anywhere, too fluffy, too monotone, too low brow. But if youre a lore nut, its fucking amazing
I think the movie was alright, could've been worse. As you said the soundtrack and voice actors made up so it was not entirely terrible and it really had its moments and I did liked the atmosphere, its just not what anyone expected but it certainly isn't terrible or bad movie wise, I'd say its average with anything else rather outstanding
There's no reason why they couldn't have spent a lil more on the cgi... the film was released in 2010 and yet the cgi intro for Dawn of War 1 released in 2004, SIX years earlier was superior in quality in every way possible.
The movie, unfortunately, was not very good. Best part was hearing John Hurt read the 40K intro text (“It is the forty-first millennium, in the grim darkness of the far future there is only war, for more than a hundred centuries the Emperor has sat immobile on the Golden Throne of Earth, all that biz”) at the beginning of the film. It was all kind of downhill from there. Honestly, in my opinion, the game Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine was a better 40K movie than this *actual* 40K movie, and the Lord Inquisitor could end up being better still; it would seem that 40K fans have a better grasp on actually getting the lore right than GW itself does. Eh. In my opinion, the only *good* adaptations of 40K-beyond the core books and codexes, and Black Library novels-were the games made by THQ and the RPGs made by Fantasy Flight. Those were awesome, and actually did the lore justice and even expanded upon it in a way that deserved-and rightfully received-canon status. But if you look at any of the other stuff, not made by either of those companies, it is of… uh, shall we say, predictably poor quality. (* Cough * Warhammer 40,000: Storm of Vengeance * Cough *)
Josh The Josherian They had really good voice actors, a really good score, plot was a good idea but needed some work, but the graphics looked like it belong to 2005 rather than 2010.
Josh The Josherian It seemed like it was created by someone who didn't have much knowledge of the grimdark universe. Old men as space marines, HERESY *BLAM*! Space Marines don't age. I don't think Dan Abnett saw old Space Marines when he wrote this script.
Nigel Lobo Music was good, voice actors were okay. The plot though was basic and predictable, "Go to this place and make sure to kick the ass of every hostile along the way," and hardly worthy of being mentioned in the same breath as Dan Abnett's stuff.
You are all about to receive the honor of going into combat for the first time as ultramarines, Jared Cook. Jared Cook: captain Strife, you shall make you battle pledges apon this sacred warhammer, this hollowed weapon has fought in the hands of our greatest veterans, it has slayed alien beasts and demons alike, one day you may be worthy enough to wield it, until then you may knell before it. Me: we march for mackrag!
well you've got me there buddy, and im definitely going to say that the lore to WH40K is amazing and definitely more fleshed out than alot of other series, i recommend the gaunt's ghost series if you haven't already had the pleasure of reading them. it'd good to see though that you have a favorite chapter though, the ultramarines may be one of the more "by the book" chapters but they also are in my opinion one of the empires greatest chapters. Im a Black Templars man myself.
This soundtrack is sooo much better than the movie, it's kind of heart breaking. They need Peter Jackson, Steven Spielberg, or James Cameron to make a Major Motion picture around the Warhammer 40k universe.
You should see Warpgazer's prologue for his upcoming short film "The Lord Inquisitor." He made it without any budget and it already looks about 294% better than Ultramarines.
From Ancient Terra the Emperor commands His Proud-sons. From revered Blood-stock these Warriors are made His Proud-sons. No fear they know, Adeptus Astartes, His Proud-sons. Courage and honor, Emperor and Primarch, Astartes! Proud Astartes, Warrior's Merit! Proud Astartes, Courage and Honor! Proud Astartes, Warrior's Merit! Proud Astartes, Proud Astartes ~!
I wonder if they will make another film. The main concern I would have would be the protagonists and their foes since there are no shortage of either to choose from.
I'd like to see Imperial Guard kicking Orcs asses... then when they would be outnoumbered- Space marines should come and kill every last heretic, mutant and alien.
UNSC Marine Barber I like Imperial Guards just as much I like Space Marines and Tau :) But movie would have more impressive action sequence with thousands of Guards fighting for their lives instead of hundreds of SM kicking asses here and there.
@Lehnert You could also see it this way: The Miniatures and art are of their "battle forms". They probably look a lot prettier when not fighting since they wouldn't need those claws and sharp teeth and stuff like that.
Nah, Voice actors were great, soundtrack is also really good and the movie had quite a few amazing moments as well and a nice atmosphere for a while at the start. It then did not went too well and the movie is certainly not what anyone expected but it isn't as terrible as you describe it, movie wise I'd say its average with the other aspects being outstanding. I expected something else but was not really dissapointed, just a bit unsatisfied by the movie itself, yet a bit amazed by some moments, the OST and the voice actors (so basically good scenes here and there but overall average)
What does that have to do with anything other than trying to shut down their opinion with elitism? Y'know what I did during the Wardian Heresy? Ignored it and went ahead with my existing fluff. I didn't piss my knickers like the rest of the neckbeards online that they changed the fluff on my toymandollies.

Josh The Josherian I don't know, I think hearing John Hurt yell "BURN HERETICS!" was pretty good too.
Not all the THQ games did the lore justice. Dawn of War has some infamous liberties with the lore.
And this guy will compose the music for the lord inquisitor! Hell yeah!
The eyes of this astartes are just as hollow as the movies' story.
Sickest Burn since Prospero
Holiest Burn since the Salamanders were created
All these songs are gold
You know if a space marine chapter established itself on Krieg they would be called “Kriegsmarine”.
Two mp3s every Warhammer 40k fan should have in their collection: Steel and Doom and Force Commander Theme
This soundtrack was made for all proud warriors of the Emperor!
Glory for the God Emperor!
Ths song + the Space Marine game is epic beyond all measures.
We shall not bend our knees to chaos
for Macragge we march and we shall know no fear
Greatest epic ost from the w40k universe but my favourite of all is a spiritual one who sounds like an holy strenght "Chant" in DoW1...🙏🖤
I'm amped to the Maxx ready to fight the sister and brother...good lord this is some intense tunes here.
Watched this movie a few days ago. Not great but not as bad as people say
Agree
always wakes the senses, ty.
Великолепно!Мы бьемся за Макрейдж!И мы не знаем страха!
Totally agree with you. The Ultramarines movie was actually really good. Nice user name btw... I play black templars so, I aprove...
We march for Macragge! and we shall know no fear!
+doop00 Bah. Silly Ultramarine. The Allfather and Lord Russ watch me and guide my ceramite boot up yer arse.
+doop00 STOP HITTING YOURSELF! STOP HITTING YOURSELF!
+Connor Nay We can fight all we want but first we have A LOT of heretics, mutants and aliens to kill.
GloryToTheEmperah! True enough Brother.
For Russ and the All Father
well you've got me there buddy, and im definitely going to say that the lore to WH40K is amazing and definitely more fleshed out than alot of other series, i recommend the gaunt's ghost series if you haven't already had the pleasure of reading them. it'd good to see though that you have a favorite chapter though, the ultramarines may be one of the more "by the book" chapters but they also are in my opinion one of the empires greatest chapters. Im a Black Templars man myself.
I like how the lirics are made to sound like latin nonsense while also being english.
Damn that I love warhammer, no matter what
This soundtrack is sooo much better than the movie, it's kind of heart breaking.
They need Peter Jackson, Steven Spielberg, or James Cameron to make a Major Motion picture around the Warhammer 40k universe.
Paul Verhoven*
You should see Warpgazer's prologue for his upcoming short film "The Lord Inquisitor." He made it without any budget and it already looks about 294% better than Ultramarines.

INTO THE FIRE OF BATTLE UNTO THE ANVIL OF WAR!🐲
From Ancient Terra the Emperor commands His Proud-sons.
From revered Blood-stock these Warriors are made His Proud-sons.
No fear they know, Adeptus Astartes, His Proud-sons.
Humanity's foes, they defend against all, His Proud-Sons.
Warrior's merit, Unbreakable spirit, Astartes!
Supreme Defenders, Unchallenged in Battle, Astartes!
Courage and honor, Emperor and Primarch, Astartes!
Proud Astartes, Warrior's Merit!
Proud Astartes, Courage and Honor!
Proud Astartes, Warrior's Merit!
Proud Astartes, Proud Astartes ~!
I want this as a ringtone.
At least they got the bolters correct.
The rewards of tolerance are treachery and betrayal. Praise be the Holy Emperor.
We Never Yield.
This is a lovely case of why commas are lovely:
'Humanity's foes, they defend against all'
It makes sense.
the movie is crap, this and proud sons from the soundtrack pure gold.
The coolest thing to come out of that "movie"
I wonder if they will make another film. The main concern I would have would be the protagonists and their foes since there are no shortage of either to choose from.
I'd like to see Imperial Guard kicking Orcs asses... then when they would be outnoumbered- Space marines should come and kill every last heretic, mutant and alien.
Sounds feasible, and sad since it is Guard.
UNSC Marine Barber I like Imperial Guards just as much I like Space Marines and Tau :) But movie would have more impressive action sequence with thousands of Guards fighting for their lives instead of hundreds of SM kicking asses here and there.
U got The lord inquisitor and exterminatus coming soon.
The lord inquisitor is the next 40k film
my gym won't let me play this anymore
I FEAR NO EVIL! FOR I AM FEAR INCARNATE!
i fear nothing for i am fear incarnate- Rogal dorn to garro
@Lehnert
You could also see it this way:
The Miniatures and art are of their "battle forms". They probably look a lot prettier when not fighting since they wouldn't need those claws and sharp teeth and stuff like that.
Who’s here from Behemoth 3/3?
"Round two, Cockroach!"
The guy who composed this probably made the score of his lifetime without knowing it...
Well, "Ultramarines" was a shit, but soundtrack is awesome.
BUUUUUUUUUUURRRRRRNN HERETICS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
best part of the film not evendone by the title chapter
www.change.org/p/have-games-workshop-make-a-good-warhammer-40k-movie
the most epic wh40k theme i've ever heard
If you are a true Warhammer 40k fan you can't possibly like the movie or what Matthew Ward did to the universe during 5th edition.
shut up you elitist fuck
This might not have been a masterpiece but appreciate the work that went into this.
No, it is a garbage, a complete waste of time.
+Puella Magi Homura Akemi I guess you don't know W40k universe that well then.
One minute Proteus,
and your death will have no purpose.....
Everything has a purpose.
The Emperor ordains it so.
You may corrupt the souls of men,
but I am steel!
I am doom!
I march for Macragge.
And I know no fear.
Germany... once more
Yo, lot's of stuff sonds better in German :p . Also, the Emprah protects, so protect me.
Maksimas Irician He can't be bothered. Just use that power armor.
***** Too late, i'm already off collecting skulls for Khorne.
Maksimas Irician Fuck.
Well, purity wasn't a very good defense.
"Sounds better in German". Only a german would say that.
....*sniff*....that was beautiful.
Terrible movie. Decent soundtrack.
I kindly liked this movie. Not the best but, i dare not to dislike it. That is HERESY!
conmadben Liking it is heresy. This movie is a mockery of the Adeptus Astartes. One of the worst portrayals.
billyboyjennings
Yeah I just can't agree with a lot of things that happen in that movie : /
..Hardly terrible at all you do realise it was very low budget and the voice actors they had were just awesome
***** It was meh, there's been far worse movies.
And I do like Bionicle's art style, so I didn't have any issues with the models.
Only bad thing is the Ultramarines.
Why not use da Blud Rehvans? So dey can us da Stehl Rehn.
