My hats off to you completely this antenna project. Were the antenna instructions container in a hard cover volume? Hope you receive great performance from this array.
Hi Jim, The FlexRadio connects to the SteppIR antenna controller via serial port (radio -> computer -> controller). When I tune to a frequency with the Flex, it sends the transmit frequency to the controller via the serial port, and the controller sends commands to the antenna stepper motors. The motors adjust the lengths of the elements to that frequency. If I change the radio transmit frequency again, the antenna will track automatically when the new frequency is sent to the antenna controller and from the controller to the stepper motors. Hope that helps..... Works Great, 73 Al K0CN
Thanks for the video - almost unbelievable how labour intensive the build is compared to Ultra Beam which is practically a plug-and-play product.
Well done Al, really good video.
Once again great job on the video. I have also built many an antenna inside during the winter.
...complimenti per la scelta dell antenna,
otterrai grandi soddisfazioni .

This has been the best antenna I have ever owned.
Can you do a video on operating the antenna showing how you adjust it to tune? Great video
