In this video, we walk you through the unboxing and installation process of an Atomberg fan. Follow these easy steps to get your fan up and running in no time!
Unboxing:
1. Prepare the Area and clear a workspace to place all the fan components. Ensure you have all necessary tools such as a screwdriver, pliers, and a ladder.
2. Open the Box and carefully cut open the packaging tape on the box. Remove any protective packing materials like styrofoam or bubble wrap.
3. Check Contents and refer to the user manual for a parts list and ensure all parts are present, typically including:
- Fan motor unit
- Blades
- Downrod (or mounting rod)
- Canopy
- Mounting bracket
- Screws and washers
- Remote control (if applicable)
- User manual and warranty card
4. Inspect Components and check for any visible damage or defects on the fan components.
Installation:
1. Turn Off Power and switch off the power supply at the circuit breaker to avoid any electric shocks.
2. Install the mounting bracket to the ceiling. Ensure it is securely fastened using the provided screws and appropriate tools.
3. Assemble the Downrod: Attach the downrod to the fan motor unit. Ensure it is tightly secured. Pass the electrical wires through the downrod.
4. Connect Wiring: Securely connect the electrical wires from the ceiling to the wires in the downrod. Typically, this involves matching wire colors (e.g., black to black, white to white, and green/bare wire to ground). Use wire nuts to secure the connections and wrap them with electrical tape for added safety.
5. Mount the Fan: Lift the fan motor unit and attach it to the mounting bracket. Ensure it is properly locked or screwed into place as per the manufacturer’s instructions.
6. Attach the Blades: Fix the blades to the fan motor unit using the provided screws. Ensure all blades are securely attached and evenly spaced.
7. Install the Canopy: Slide the canopy over the downrod to cover the mounting bracket and wiring. Secure it in place using the provided screws.
8. Remote Control Setup (if applicable): Install batteries in the remote control. Follow the instructions to pair it with the fan, usually by pressing specific buttons or holding them for a certain duration.
9. Test the Fan: Turn the power back on at the circuit breaker. Test the fan to ensure it operates correctly at all speed settings and in both directions (if it has a reverse function).
10. Final Adjustments: Check for any wobbling or unusual noise. Tighten any loose screws or adjust the blades as necessary to ensure smooth operation.
Tips:
Refer to the user manual specific to your Atomberg fan model for any model specific instructions or nuances. If you are not comfortable with electrical work, consider hiring a professional electrician to handle the installation. Ensure the fan is installed on a ceiling that can support its weight.
