Trains at Tring, WCML - 20/7/19

- Welcome to the latest episode of Big Trip! Today I am at Tring on the West Coast Main Line where services are seen by London North Western Railway (brand of West Midlands Trains), Southern (brand of Govia Thameslink Railway) and Virgin Trains.
Tring was a nice station to film at with a lot of passing trains along the restricted fast platforms. The station's fast platforms are closed off here due to the fact no trains ever plan to stop there so there's no use for them to be accessible but also for health and safety purposes. The views were ok, not a great deal to write home about which let this station down but still had a very good speed of trains when they did pass. The variety was good, with trains stopping and passing along the slow platforms and one dedicated platform for the terminating services but the trains themselves were varied in type and livery so I liked that. The station is big but rather quiet, one end of the station is almost always deserted because everything stops further along the platform. Overall though, I did like my time here, it is a recommended station too!

Went there yesterday , saw 37057 and 37116 with a test train and loads of 90s and 66s on freight
Great video Kieran!! Looks like a good station. It seems to have a classic WCML design with slow line and then the fast line fenced off. The answer is alot of GTR stations because they have that man doing it. One is I think Redhill???

Anne does not do the announcements for chiltern railways and quite a lot of northern stations are announced by celia drummond
377201 for Southern and virgin trains 211101 super voyager they're both coming back and also you saw both of them at Watford Junction.
Indeed, they didn't go too far, that's why.
I think Anne doesn't do announcements on the ECML and the MML I don't know I think I'm wrong

Just had it clarified by a friend, Anne does announce there, rather quiet though.
