Breakers, as their action, auto break down doors and barricades. You don’t need a special card for them to do that. That special card means that ALL zombies next to a barricade/door break or open them, regardless of class.
just got into zombicide and honestly, this version seems really interesting with a focus on defense
@41 min in, Mike is sort of mistaken ... Black Plague did away with orig. Modern Zombicide's rule of "shooting into a zone with Survivors & zombies will automatically hit Survivors FIRST". From Black Plague on had the rule of "shooting into a zone with Survivors, ONLY misses will hit Survivors"

You should have spent an action to open the door in turn 1 at the stairs
And 2 actions to open the stairs and also everyone changes to romero mode I guess?
He made a mistake, it's 1 action to open the stairs door and then 2 actions to remove the corpse - which turns everyone to Romero mode and then they can search whoever regains Zombicide mode.
I loved this playthrough. I went out and came back tonight to finish watching it lol.
Sorry I never complained about the shoot friendly rule, but they changed it in Black Plague. It was just a mechanism to slow down people just shooting away in the first zombicide which once you can just shoot a ton it gets very easy.
The red spawn point at the top was in the wrong place. It should have been in the next zone over to the right, with the door. That would have frozen the zombies against that door until breakers appeared, I believe.

It occurs to me that you guys are three hobby gamers, who work together in real life, at a job that is focused on playing hobby games. Shouldn't you be the best co-op board game team ever??? Haha glad you won this one!

I ordered this game through Kickstarter. Received game on the 31st. It's in the wrong language. Filed claim. Hope it's resolved soon.
The funny part is that they did changed the rule in Black Plague, and this is using that!
The original rule was that you ALWAYS shoot the ally. Not just on misses. You shot the ally FIRTS, then, you could start shooting the zombies onde there were no allies...
I believe zombies don’t look for the open door like you all played. They pile up on closed doors that are the shortest path to the players.
@@jonanjello I think it’s a great game, like playing the movie, but ymmv, of course.
@@jonanjello I would imagine veteran zombicide players are pretty overpowered and this game in about a movie not a peak combat experience. I'm not such a person. I find the game quirky but easy to fix by ignoring a few rules (like Zombicide mode itself). In general, it meets exactly my expectations. Again ymmv.

After extensive debate in Board Game Geek, it seems that zombies do look for open doors/windows if the shortest path is blocked but longer paths are open. Sorry for the mis-information.

No. The cards specify what spawns.
I love this movie, one of my all-time favorites. That said, it's a bit surprising that you showed as much of the movie as you did given it's "not family friendly" nature. ;)

I was a little confused about the barricade question as well.
Can you actually just build a barricade or do you need to have boards before you can build a barricade? (at least in scenario one). Never played a Zombicide game before.
You need boards or the barricade tokens on map at start. Then one action to deploy.

Ohhhh what happened to having to play by internet because of THE VIRUS?! Remember? It was soooo dangerous that even 3 or 4 people who work together couldn't be in the same room, remember? So you couldn't get together before, but now, when they're going crazy and saying it's worse than ever, you CAN get together. I love how people just get sick of the rules. Hey admit you were wrong all along and that have been lying to us and that us on the other side who have been trying to talk sense into you for months, were right.
Wtf are you talking about? We're closing in on a half a million deaths in the U.S., including family of mine, and most of it can be attributed to idiots like you. Sorry you were the one lied to in order to minimize the political impact to your boy in the White House. Not sorry he got trounced in the election.

The remake of Dawn of the Dead is great. And I dont enjoy horror movies either.
