We're now going to need a Billy Bobs wonderland type of place that has all the cec stages saved (i mean 1 of every version of cec stage), including the 3 stage it makes me so sad how cec doesn't even acknowledge how much these animatronics mean to people.

I hope someone gets that chuck bot, as well as the paintings. All he needs is some fixing and care and he would be good as new again.
Hopefully I will be able to acquire this studio c, I talked to a few of the employees including the manager but I should really visit more often to try and see about getting Chuck E. I will update in the comments if anything comes of it !!
I wish there was a way they could still use the old programming for Studio C...That version is especially cool, I miss the great outfit he used to wear....PLEASE SOMEONE SAVE IT LOL
Great comments at the end...Yes its very sad and heartbreaking, they've lost touch with what people want....But it also requires maintenance....When they dont maintain the bots, they can get creepy and/or boring, but when they work well, they're absolutely awesome, and should always be there at CEC - thats part of what they're known for...
I was very happy to hear that awesome CA location is keeping the bots with the dancefloor too! They're gunna have a few "retro" spots and keep some bots around?!
Also the Lynnwood location bots have apparently been saved! There might be some light at the end of the tunnel after all 😃👍
The company just doesn’t get that the show is a staple of the store. I wish they’d listen not only to the fans, but us who work in the stores day in and day out.

Horrible news. Appereantly due to budget cuts they will no longer be programming 5 character shows. This means thwy wont move anymore and will just be in random mode just like studio c. So get to those stages while you can they wont move around much longer
No, the animatronics will move. They just won’t play new shows. So, if a tape that isn’t new plays at the store, the animatronics will still perform
they won’t be for the new songs just the reused songs

@@MarbleCarnivalDude I know, I am also not a fan of the remodel. Its ugly and the dance floor is pixelated but I also have to remember that it’s for the newer generation and not myself. Sadly I don’t know how a resurgence in interest for animatronics would happen. To be fair it’s also sad to see the robots not taken care of and at least collectors are restoring them, the part I am being glad about is being able to dumpster dive LOL
Honestly I think the interest declined due to the lack of maintenance on CEC's part. We grew up with them dancing, and giving us a real show, but nowadays, they basically barely function and some are ripped apart. Kids nowadays won't experience what we experienced at Showbiz or CEC. It's a DRASTIC difference. That's probably the reason they took them out. They're not popular because they don't maintain it. It's like wondering why a closed store isn't making money. No kids want to watch a bunch of aging and uncared for, ripped up, barely moving animatronics when there's the bright, new shitty card redemption games in the gameroom! I also really miss the tokens and tickets, not just at CEC but at all arcades. I barely got to live thru the token era but the feeling of holding tickets and putting in tokens will never get old. @@katiemcdowell8160

i'm working on making another pizza place, like chuck e cheese. i want people to still experience the joy of having the animatronics and live characters. i'm hoping it gets big so the memory of robotic band members can live another day.

AYE MY HOMETOWN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I've never thought you'd be back down in Louisiana especially in Metairie, I've been knowing about the store closing and relocating with the new trampoline concept and I thought they've been closed down for awhile until I've seen your video! I'll admit it's not the best experience from when I visited around 2021, as the store was very messy and gross but overall it's such to see this store gonna close down in about 2 months. I wish I could visit if work didn't invlove much lol overall great video man! Hopefully we can meet up soon once you're back in the Louisiana area

Have you ever seen the Chuck e Cheeses in Whitby Canada? i went pass it when i went to Toronto last April and i was very curious to see what kind of Chuck e cheeses it was!
I hit up one of the three CEC in Toronto earlier this year (4141 Dixie Rd, Mississauga, ON L4W 1V5, Canada). It was by the airport and had a road stage. Didn't think it was working till about 10 minutes before closing they started a song! It was great drove all the way from Detroit to see that!

I was wondering when you were going to make it here to our local CEC. This location started out as a ShowBiz pizza. CEC was at another location on Airline Hwy. We threw many birthday parties at this location for our 2 boys in the late 2000's. Later our older son worked his first job here. Many of the employees here are long term. They still know us. The large building that CEC is in now was a KMart on the right and JoAnn's on the left. The new owners ( from what I was told) is creating a large plaza for fitness and health foods. Hopefully CEC will move to the front of the shopping center and have more visibility. It is not too sad that they are moving. The big building they are in now sustained alot of damage from Hurricane Ida. So the fact that it is getting repaired and refreshed is good. I will definitely look into salvaging some of the items from CEC. We have so many good memories of parties there! Thanks!

Hey Chris the reason why all studio c don’t work anymore is because they stopped programming them for no apparent reason if you weren’t aware
Oh yeah I know, in September of last year ☺️
it isn't "no apparent reason" it's because of the switchover to the Navori system that uses the stores Wi-Fi instead of physical media and the fact that Studio C-based systems have special file formats (I believe the file extension is .CEC if I remember correctly from seeing something online) and Navori can't play it, probably due to there being no DVD / floppy disk (or SD card / USB stick for Studio C HD stores aka Circles of Light / Dance Floor). The only reason MMBB stages still function properly is they use audio tones for programming signals (and new programming for MMBB is ending so no new songs will have programming though the reused songs that have programming will have programming)

What about the history of the building itself, was anything stated about it?
Hi David. The building itself was a K-Mart up until 3 years ago or so. In fact, Hurricane Ida blew the covering off of the K-Mart sign over the door and it still lit up! The CEC was originally a Showbiz pizza. CEC was originally located on Airline Hwy where Celebration Church in now. Then in the late 80's, I think, Showbiz here became CEC. Maybe early 90's. The trampoline place in front of CEC was a grocery store, Delchamps.
