YALL to those asking where i went or if im dead, im still very much looking at all the comments im getting! i never expected this video to blow up as it did, and i cannot thank you all enough for that. i do still want to make youtube content, but my work schedule and other things in my personal life make that a little difficult. i will be back! just dont know when haha.
I like your character design it reminds me of one of my characters I have one named the king he's a lion he's a pretty big he takes up most of the room in my animatronics room he's homemade though not a real cyber like the real one
Don't be sorry about your appinion its valid like everyone else. I agree with you alot I miss my anamatronic soo much. But generations are changing and its a fact...I collect stuff so I can remember as they evolve.❤❤❤
3:01 They occasionally wrote in references to the fact they were animatronics. For example, when Jasper would laugh hysterically at a joke, Chuck would say "turn the dog off!" Of course, ever since concept unification, they tried to make it so the characters were real
The reason they can’t give animatronics to fans is because their licensed! They belong to CEC Entertainment. So don’t get mad at CEC. The characters are just licensed.
I have a love/hate relationship with 2.0. I do think the 2.0 architecture does look really nice, and I personally love the modern look. The dance floor itself would be amazing too if...they kept the stages. The animatronics really should not be removed. They were always originally directed towards teenagers and parents, many of whom do still find them interesting for nostalgic purposes and may even be part of the decision to plan a party at CEC. (Most parents hate the place, there’s got to be something somewhat interesting for them in it right?) Plus, it’s gotten more and more attention recently, due to the success of Five Nights at Freddy’s and such, which actually hasn’t brought too much negative attention to them, in many cases it’s increased interest in how they work and what they do. The stages wouldn’t come across as so weak and creepy if the stores actually took care of them. If you see the stages that are cared for, they are amazing and super entertaining, and those are the locations that I do see people purposely going into the showroom to look at and comment on how cute and cool it is. (Not all of course, but I’m going by what I’ve seen this in person.) Plus, how often is the person or people in costume very enthusiastic in their performances? 8/10 just do it because they have to and it shows. Little to no effort in the dance, little interaction, and at the end just toss the tickets in the air and walk away. That stuff is noticeable to people, I think putting that as one of the main focuses wouldn’t be the best idea. The people who encourage the removal of stages I don’t think completely realize how much it actually means to other fans, how much happiness it brings them, how much of an interest and passion it is. If they fixed up and revamped the stages, put in the dance floor in front of it, and then added all the architectural stuff, 2.0 would really be a sight to see. I could see so much potential in using both types of stages, I think that would be really cool. And who knows, maybe that can happen at some locations. The whole 2.0 remodel is very difficult, complicated, and controversial for so many reasons, both technical and passion. I agree that it is an interesting and neat change that is kinda, somewhat needed, but it could most certainly be better. Good narration though, you are good with your words.
A phase is a phase no matter where you go. A stage is a stage that's what I said. A token is a token this is surely so And games should be games either way. But this chuck e cheese is not a home. This is not the chuck e cheese I know. I'll trade it all away if the animatronics come back to stay. Chuck e cheese is not the same without you. It's just a mouse. It's just an unplugged game without you. A parody of this grill is not a home from spongebob
The remodel is a mistake, A REALLY big mistake, Animatronics are things that should be repaired and preserved, I think they should have both the animatronics and the dance floors because they should have part of the restaurant for older fans, and another part for newer fans! The mascots were a part of entertainment history and were a big staple in it! And as such they need to be preserved for future generations to experience the joy and happiness that the past generations experienced.
A big reason why I love the animatronics so much is not just because they are nostalgic to me, but because it gives me something entertaining to watch while eating. I also just love the characters (mostly Jasper lol). Im very introverted, so I dont see myself going onto that dance floor thing. It does look cool and it IS more interactive, but when you think of Chuck E Cheese, you more than likely think of the iconic animatronics. They are essentially a staple for the restaurant and it makes me sad that they are being fazed out.
Ever since Rockstar era, CEC has been trying to distance themselves from the past. They are going to do as they did in Concept Unification and destroy all props as they will not be used again. The CEC fandom is not a focus and I personally will miss the animatronic shows, but I think that if they kept the animatronics, then they will eventually decay to borderline Billy Bob's Wonderland levels. The change is the only way that CEC will grow as a brand
Now this was a really good explanation. One of the few reasons why I’m cool with 2.0 is that the nasty locations with shows that look just plain busted up and unprofessional get to have a nice and fresher look. I mean come on, who wants an army of motionless, cross-eyed hunks of metal and fabric just staring at you from the other side of the room? If it makes the location look more professional, that that’s simply just a logical business move. I think it’s just nostalgia that causes lots of people to get biased and stand up for the older classic stuff. I mean sure, no one wants the fun parts of their childhood to get thrown away. I too was upset when my show was taken out. I’m 15 years old, and a large chunk of the show’s most recent writing writing is geared toward babies, so I’m not even gonna be ever coming back repeatedly as much as I used to anyways. But I’ve learned to accept the good side of it, as all my past memories of CEC will be in my head for all eternity. And because I got the authentic experience, I think I’m good to go
It hurts to say but I agree. If you’re going to have a stage show at least have the funds to make them more appealing and life like. But sadly that hasn’t been the case since the mid 2000s, when you started to see a decline in their shows. Especially after the curtain removal and making the show rooms bright.
My main problem with the Party Stage is it puts more responsibility on staff. A lot of stores are already understaffed and sometimes have issues trying to get Chuck to come out even for birthdays (or at least every CEC I've ever been to). Trying to assume all stores will immediately have dedicated staff who can go out every hour, be energetic and put on a good show every time is a bit frustrating as I know that's just not going to happen at such a large scale. I've been to stores like this and not had Chuck show up AT ALL for the Live shows even with 2-4 hours (sometimes more) of being there. Combined with not getting to see animatronics it's a really disappointing experience all around. I feel it'd be a lot worse for kids wanting to go meet the "one and only" big star only to get absolutely nothing. No songs sung in-person for them, no meeting or seeing literally the main star who they may have come for, nothing but an empty space making it no more than just an arcade with some cool lights on the floor. Obviously there are going to be stores with really dedicated cast members out there who really strive with the concept but others not being able to fall back on letting another form of entertainment take over sometimes when they aren't always able to entertain guests themselves may really suffer in the long run.
this absolutely is another issue ! i know a lot of stores have issues with being understaffed and getting shows out is troublesome, but i do hope that along with the remodels comes some sort of training or incentive program to get shows out and drive cast members to become better performers. that’s really the only logical way to ensure the dance floor is successful, as most folks i know think getting in the suit is a huge pain. just have to wait and see, i suppose!
Jupiter Mutt So why won’t they hire people that are passionate about CEC and can perform as Chuck E to the best of their ability every time? It would solve understaffing issues
the labor hours just aren’t there, that’s most likely why. its definitely an issue with my district, i don’t doubt it’s the same with others, unfortunately. :/
Jupiter Mutt This comes from someone who applied to work at CEC not too long ago. No one is willing to give passionate people like us a chance. They’re missing out
I wish they didn't take away the animatronics that people grew up with. The next generation will never get to see the animatronics. So now that they're taking it away, what's the point to cec?
I can't wait to see what they do for 3.0... me personally I feel like they shouldn't have been cheapscapes and just put a dance floor there and take out the existing iconic animatronics .what they should do in the future is they should combine the puppets , the robots , the TV's and the dance floor ... It sounds expensive but trust me it wouldn't be the way there operating this mess ... I really wish the rock afire explosion and showbiz were still around CEC would have been served some nice Billy Bob's but in the face. Also as a side note 2.0 is trying to get more adults into the place ... Listen do you think casual adults and or future boomers in general would go to a animatronic less Chuck e cheese all the memories and charm have been gutted out .That's why they rather order dominos and watch TH-cam videos and or go to any other local pizzeria . Right now CEC got rockstar Chuck Wich is way too soft and cringy/rude unlike avenger Chuck was (my opinion) and has restaurants that look like A BIG BOX OF FRIKIN MOONSAND. (no offense if you enjoy moonsand, I like it too) but yea the architecture isn't bad...
I hate CEC 2.0 They should at least keep like the STUDIO C Chuck, it’s only one mech and not a whole band of em, They can keep the modern Re-Theming but keep the OG Chuck!
2:19 Fun fact:One cec location that closed in 2012(Melrose Park Illinois) was remodeled into a Olive Garden and i"m surprised no one has recorded inside the location and saying that it used to be a cec
very well said! I really wanted to make a video like this but i could NOT get the words together to do so so i’m really glad you made this!! it’s so important for people to see that while a change like this may be sad, at this point it’s necessary and does have some good that comes with it
OK so the reason the animatronics are considered a “side show” it’s because CEC corporate has made them like that. There has been a lack of care for the bots and putting more attention on other things. I’m sure if they made it the same big deal as it was in the 80s and 90s, they would be much more popular with guests.
And almost a year later 2.0 has been cancelled due to Parkway cutting their contract with CEC and CEC has entered Chapter 11 Bankruptcy. How Fun. Also I have to agree 2.0 was a good idea. To bad they had so many budget cuts it was a shell of what was a good concept.
In typical CEC Entertainment fashion, they need to downgrade all their good concepts to even survive. Just look at studio C, it got so crappy that they were removing 3-stages for a bot that has an equal amount of movements as 1 CHARACTER. What is the point??? If every store didn't have a different stage, they could've focused on the 3-stage. A well maintained 3-stage will still catch the eye of guests.
I miss when the curtains would close and when the Chuck e would be once and a while replaced by a mascot , because now that the curtains don’t close they just sit lifeless
My son works at one of the locations in Austin TX. & He's quite excited for the remodel. Main reason why is because he hates the ticket show being done by kid check. Awesome video btw.
I feel like 2.0 is focusing more on the Restaurant portion of CEC, which I don’t think is a good call. I don’t think anyone goes for the food, but instead just purchased out of convenience. If the food quality started to get better, then that’d be really exciting.
You I believe the real reason why CEC is doing 2.0 at there stores is because of the roadshows that most stores do, most stores don’t even bother to go near the dam stage anymore it’s like a toxic zone for them XD,roadshow? More like sideshow.
I’m an 11 year old and I love the animatronics and the look I don’t just hate 2.0 because of them ditching the band but also the new look it’s freaking hideous on the outside like what the hell is that green and I hate the rest of the new look except for the new paintings they look good but I like the old ones they should keep the old paintings and have the new ones
YO IT JUST DAWNED ON ME- _WHAT IF THEY DO HOLOGRAM SHOWS LIKE A VOCALOID CONCERT?!_ okay maybe that's too pricey but uhm, it's modern and it at least somewhat keeps the spirit of the animatronic shows? At least in my opinion as someone who likes them.
Since there is a new update on 2.0 I gotta say it’s actually better than I expected better than this kind of 2.0 cause they add new artwork, TVs around the game room like the old days, big screen tv which I’m not a fan of but kinda a decent idea so people can watch there content and make the showroom like a show theater so yeah it’s by far really good and better (I’m gonna get hate for this ) and I want animatronics to stay don’t get me wrong but all good things must come to an end and introduce something new
Yeah. BTW what new artworks also yeah I agree that good things come to an end but like we can't do anything. People like primestone don't really appreciate the good things that they have and 2.0 is way better than some abandoned location or closed locations.
@@showbizillinoiswisconsin7868 wow fast reply but yeah not just primestone but other people too. I'm just so glad that no CEC stores close and 2.0 is better than some mattress store.
With the new dance floor, the removal of the animatronics and the tickets, and all the new redesigns, chuck e cheese doesn’t really feel like chuck e cheese any more
I wouldnt mind 2.0 as long as they kept the show. I see an animatronic show AND a dancefloor being successful. Why not have both? And tbh I really do not like the whole minimalistic modern design that 2.0 has. It just feels more like a millennial cafe to me than a kids arcade :/ I do like the showroom art though, it's cute. I just think there are many ways this could be improved.
Yeah like they could have the animatronics a little bit in front of them a dance floor so people can dance to the music! CEC entertainment, think, think! Why can't they start using their idle brain cells?
I always think the reason why families aren’t interested in the animatronics anymore is because of lack of maintenance, the bots are in poor condition because of negligence, it’s obvious, they removed characters from the three stage like pizzacam and munch jr. because they were lazy and wanted to save money when they didn’t work properly and they removed the curtains and no longer dimmed the lights, losing some of the charm imo, after a show they just sit there lifeless unless on random mode, making them look unsettling, not to mention the condition of them doesn’t help. As for studio Cs, they’ve lost the charm as well, mainly because of removal of the late night theme in the 2000s, so not a recent problem. the betas and cappas still have so much potential, maybe putting something interactive with it like what they did with the Alphas? Idk. the reason why there doing this is simple, saving money. I’m not against refurbishing the stores themselves, it is needed, but getting rid of the bots? No, they think kids don’t look at the bots because they’re old, but in reality, it’s their lack of maintenance and negativeness for them, it’s their fault they are like this. Not today’s generation. EDIT: another thing I forgot mention: the removal of the cabaret/lounge animatronics in the 90s, less variety means less interest.
I still look at the animatronics though but my chuck e cheese still has the animatronics and I'm happy there still there (even though I'm a retired animatronic)
I mean like I like the design of 2.0 and the new furniture and stuff but idk if I like the no show it’s gonna be hard but rocksford and Porchagese sorry for my spelling 2 will live on ik it don’t sound a lot but we can enjoy them forever💗
It would be much more interactive if they only removed the ANIMATRONICS, not the whole stage. Let the kids play the keyboard and the drums and the flying cheese guitar (only keep them at a reasonable volume) or maybe do what you did with Studio C Alphas back in the day with the computer screens and the blue screen camera. That’s more interaction than a stupid floor decoration AND the animatronic fans are.. kinda.. happy (it is a Studio C after all those aren’t the most exciting stages) Now what are people supposed to do while eating pizza? Watch some annoying kids dance with a dude in a costume? No one is entertained by that. People only seem to consider how “kids will be interacting with something” as opposed to the purpose of the showroom which is supposed to be entertainment, not a regurgitation centre after the kids shove their pizza. And what about kids who hate dancing? I was one of those. I didn’t like the animatronics, but I HATED dancing. This can only lead to more temper tantrums. No one will go to Chuck E. Cheese after this. This is a BAD idea.
I am pissed off with the company... I went there as a kid.... Weather that I was on vacation... or here in Columbus Ohio... I loved going there... I took a field trip there once and it was the bomb.. Got to see how you could work the anamatronics and made my own pizza and have the run of the place... My 3 stage is gone and smashed to bits... The lack of care is what did the shows in...
Me too…They tore down my 3 stage location that originally opened in 1982 in 2018. I hadn’t been in a few years at that point, but I’m willing to bet they had quit properly maintaining the show. I went there many times as a kid and it is sad seeing the shopping mall where it was still sitting in a pile of rubble with no replacement buildings yet.
Dude thank you for this video. I use to HATE 2.0 when I first heard about it when I was a kid myself, but over time, my feelings towards it lightened quite a bit. I stopped hating it as I realized that the hate I felt towards something that was never going to change was a little silly. Now don’t get me wrong, I am very upset about the way how the animatronics are destroyed and the condition a lot of them are in due to lack of maintenance and overall neglect, but I do understand that it’s expensive to be constantly maintaining animatronics that are around 30 years old. But I noticed something amazing with 2.0…so many kids actually really want to see Chuck E. And his friends! You could argue that that’s always been the case for CEC but it hasn’t been for a lot of them. I mean, how many times do you hear stories of adults saying that when they were kids they use to HIDE from the mascot characters or even the animatronics? Now I’m aboutta say something very controversial but…I actually LOVE the rockstar character designs. I think they’re incredibly vibrant and unique, especially the way how they’ve translated their CGI counterparts into mascot characters (and no, I’m not a furry lmao) I agree with all of your points with this video, you said everything perfectly and I am very sorry that you received so much hate for this. It’s childish and unneeded especially because it’s just an opinion. Anyway, I hope you try to ignore the rude people in the comments. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but there’s a line that shouldn’t be crossed by acting immature. :)
The new concept of Chuck E. Cheese is interesting and creative and I can see why some people like it. In my opinion, I think it’s ok. As a kid who grew up in the 2000s with the animatronics. I’m 19 now and I miss going to Chuck E. Cheese’s. But your right, one way or another we all need to accept change. Everyone’s got an opinion on something, and your opinion is just fine to me no matter what it is. 🙂👍
It may take years, but every single each and every location is going to get 2.0 at some point and that's just something we have to accept whether we want to or not
I wanted to make a similar video like this for several months, but this is a really great video. Probably better than any 2.0 related video I could've done. I agree with almost everything you said in the video, we just have to admit that animatronics aren't relevant anymore outside of theme parks.
Such a deep video! Personally, I prefer Phase 3/4 but you’ve inspired me to see some good into 2.0. I actually really like the dance floor! Only thing is that I wish they advertised the dance floor more on in stores. Sadly, my local show did get 2.0 I think around 2020, but I’ve gone there quite a while now so I’ve grown to the new look. Great video! 😊
My local cec is doing there grand reopening on October 3rd and I still miss there stage ;-; but I like how 2.0 looks but I don’t really like the idea of cec removing the animatronic shows
great video, i agree with a lot of your points. i actually found this video on my school account in the middle of class a few months ago and had it in my watch later for awhile, not watching it sooner out of fear it was gonna be another generic "2.0 sucks why is ptt chuck no longer around what the hell!!!!!!" video. i was pleasantly surprised that it wasnt! i like 2.0. not love it, but like it. i think its better then what we used to have, because my god could i not take another second of some of it. the ripped booth benches that smelled like a mcdonald's play place, the uncared for studio c animatronic, the purple walls, the outdated (and not the cool outdated) look. it bugged me a bit, and it often kept my family from going. with the new changes, i like a lot of the design choices. i think it could be a little more fun, but its not bad, though my mom still hates taking me. i really loved the studio c at my location just due to how many memories i have of staring at it in awe, but i knew i had to let it go at some point, like you said, most people dont pay attention to the animatronics as much as they used to, im literally the only one who runs in to watch the shows at every location i have been to that still has any sort of animatronic show. but at least now, also like you brought up, we do have a place for chuck to go when he preforms! but....that can lead to some problems, which i will mention in a moment.
even though i like a lot of the changes, there is just things i wish were changed. one of my favorite now defunct things at CEC were these cameras and computers (though i only remember the camera, i have seen footage of these computer looking things next to them) that stood beside the studio c stage (so from what i know, any cyberamic or 3 stage shows didnt have them). you could stand in front of the blue screen while someone could look on through the little camera there. i dont remember much, because they were removed and replaced with the ticket blaster when i was too little to remember much, but how much you could interact with it was so much fun for little me. the only reason i bring this up is that yeah, its really nice to have a place for chuck to go now when he preforms, but even with the old and newer versions of the dance floor, there is only so little you can interact with. I think it would have been great to have something kids can use to really be apart of the action, like maybe a fake little "dj" station (which honestly, they could theme after munch as munch had a dj booth in the summer of fun tour) where kids can mess with some of the lights for the dance floor stage and the lights for the dance floor itself, and maybe make funny noises, or noises of the characters like that one CEC car ride where you can press the buttons and hear the members of the band talk. I think it would be fun and make the kids feel apart of the action, and come on, who doesnt love pushing buttons? maybe this isnt the case for some locations, as i hear some have like- little jungle gyms or bumber cars??? that sounds incredibly fun- maybe that problem could be easily solved if they added those to more locations. but for something small i think something more interactive would be really nice.
and on to the thing i said i was going to bring up later..... the dance floors are supposed to be areas where chuck comes out and teaches the kids dances that they can do with him to songs; usually. what i have been noticing at locations like the one i grew up with is that they just dont. they dont use the dance floor. like ever. they are too understaffed. even when they do have proper staff they either just choose not to go out and preform or when they do, its right as the song that was playing on the TVs end and all they do is greet guests (like even when the timer goes down for when chuck is supposed to come out, hes never there until 3 to 5 minutes later, sometimes more). dont get me wrong, i love all who works at that CEC. they have given me free posters and extra prizes, know about the history of CEC and talk about it with me, and from what i know, we were one of or the only location/s that had a special vampire costume for chuck (that was one of the coolest things i have ever seen!). it wasnt CEC branded at all so i assume an employee brought it in, but no matter how dedicated the staff is, there isnt the time for some of these employees to constantly be doing live shows. like i said, mine is understaffed most of the time. so yes, it can be a great concept, but for a lot of locations this just wont work.
all in all, i think other then the appearance of the building itself, chuck e cheese should also focus on what customers come in for: fun. i think focus should be put more on the games they have at their locations and the stage chuck rocks out on. i think 2.0 still has ways to go, and i am happily awaiting the arrival of any new updates we get in the future. thank you for painting 2.0 in a positive light and pointing out the positives of it, as i feel like thats really what our fandom needs.
i find out about 2.0 only a few days ago..i'm from italy but i kinda grew up with Chuck e Cheese and Showbiz Too..even if i didn't saw them live and watching this is more painful than the concept unification
Concept Unification is more painful to be honest. The fact that the Rock afire Explosion(The best animatronic show of all time in my opinion) is taken away and kicked out in Showbiz Pizza is extremely sad. The strong scars are still there. In CEC 2.0, at-least the Chuck E Cheese characters are still there. Billy Bob and his friends are not in Showbiz Pizza anymore. While I agree that Munch's Make Believe Band/Studio C turn into a Dance Floor is a huge downgrade(Because watching animatronics performing has more entertainment value and is more interesting than seeing a person play around with a floor that flashes color), the CEC shows nowadays overall ranges from mediocre to alright at best. To me, CEC shows are at its best in the Pizza Time Theatre days, and the Munch's Make Believe Band show in the 90's and early 2000's is good as well(Not as great as the Rock afire Explosion, but still good). But ever since the modern CEC in recent times stop covering songs and turn into more as a Sesame Street knock-off show, CEC shows got another spiral downhill and it's just alright in quality, nothing special in my opinion.
I love the modern artwork inside. Not sure if I’m fan of all the wood tiles looks a bit too modern lol. But I love the new artwork aswell as the stage and dance floor. The biggest let down is the face there is no animatronics. I wish they could still have him and have that dance floor I think the dance floor was a good idea and a good lil stage for the live characters but the animated ones shouldn’t have been left like that.
things cost money, and i don’t think cec really cares for their animatronics anymore. it all started with the showroom walls being removed, then curtains, mediocre programming for some shows, etc. that’s just the unfortunate truth.
That is YOUR opinion maintaining a dance floor will be WAY less expensive then maintaining a animatronic band. Also animatronic are only really associated with FNAF and other paranormal stuff.
You also obviously didn’t watch the video Families nowadays don’t want animatronics everywhere Chuck E. Cheese needs to adapt to changes over the years.
I agree with most but disagree about the decor. it's supposed to be obnoxious it's a kids place not a library. And personally, the art work looks very bland and generic at best. One of the whole reasons most fans were drawn to the appeal of most cec locations WAS that some of the chuck e cheese artwork from different phases over the years. Despite cec being a chain store it really gave certain locations character. Now every location is just gonna look the same.
Well I don't mind 2.0 but it's not the chuck e cheese I know I'd prefer the old avenger phase 3 and 4 look with the purple walls and the avenger posters (they may look creepy to you but I think they're cute) The Tokens on the wall (I won't have good luck without the giant Token to rub) the colorful tables, Animatronic stage show those I am gonna miss I even miss the "SKY TUBES" but mostly the animatronic but I'm gonna change things up I am going to rescue the Animatronic bring it back to life to sing again
I actually agree due to the fact that the guy/girl would have more space to dance and the kids have more room to dance with chuck and there's a possibly that some stores is gonna have COL (Circle of light stage) and you kinda miss something is that the some restaurants wants to remove the animatronics because it can be expensive to repair them. As a fan base we should just accept it. San Jose can be the last store to have animatronics because that's where the 2nd restaurant is open.
@@LoganJ2006 yes unfortunately they did the beginning of this year they did the remodel but the other location on kooser Road the one that's been open since 1978 still has their two stage I hope it stays that way based on the history but we'll see what gets me is the one on Tully Road it's one of the biggest in the chain we'll at least in the US back in the 80s in mid-90s I believe had the most animatronic characters that place is just too damn big to not have animatronic it would have been sweet if they would have got a circle of Lights with a bot
I just lost Hatred on 2.0 Yesterday after visiting one for the First Time which means I'm Neutral on it but if you Still hate 2.0 I can handle your Opinion.
Wow, I honestly agree as well. Even though I really loved the animatronic shows so much, I’m actually looking forward for a big and bright future for Chuck E. Cheese and his friends. Who knows when they’ll end up in? Hopefully, we’ll get ourselves a stage show featuring the characters in costume form, à la CheeseVention X.
I mean, what else are we supposed to go to Chuck E. Cheese for? Just about all of us are adults/teenagers. We aren't going to go there just to watch some kids throw their bodies around on a floor that changes color. We go there for the animatronics.
As much as I don't like to point out I do have to agree with you. On multiple points. Chuck E cheese is due to a remodel. However not one like this. I think it would be better if they kept the stage and brought in the dance floor as well so the electronics and the dance floor would be together
i saw the YTP with this video as one of the sources and figured i'd also ask where she went considering this is a 2 year old video, her twitter's still active it seems
Chuck E. Cheese is retired now he told freddy to own it and some Easter eggs when Hellen lost half of the mouth that is also what happend to chica and like one of the comment the posters that they have steel woll used something like that and Chuck E. Cheese is the only pizza I love but more Easter eggs you know about mr munch jr is cupcake And you probably know this but the bird is foxys from fnaf 6
I feel sad that that they are getting rid of the bots that’s why I’m there but my 2.0 Chuck E. Cheese has a dance floor and a Studio c bot and I think that’s how it should be if they have room for both then way not have both but that is my opinion if you feel the same please comment that’s all for now
Personally, I like 2.0. The art style looks pretty nice and like the seating. But with COVID now canceling it, maybe there could be a way to turn 2.0 into “Phase 6” and mix it with the existing stages! Edit 2023: aged like shit
Ooooooo, they should've made new clothes for the animatronics. Add some changes for the stage, and add a dance floor to another room where the mascots can perform. Sadly the fandom didn't get a say in it...
Maybe for locations that have cyberamic stages or three stages, they could put new clothes on them, for example Munch could have the shirt that he wears in current artwork, Helen could have the dress that she wears in current artwork, etc.
Nah, I still hate it. Animatronics were the best. They were the only reason I went as a kid. Also they fired Duncan Brannan and replaced him the lead singer of Bowling For Soup. A band that hasn’t been relevant in a very very long time. It’s not my Chuck E. Cheese.
Ok so am still kinda young but I remember the adventure area and remember loving it and even had a birthday party and my local Chuck E. Cheese had the remodel and it is boring my younger siblings don’t find it that entertaining then what I remember and some of my favorite things about it are gone.So a few months ago I went back to Chuck E. Cheese with my little siblings and the dance floor is the most boring are in the hole thing I was kinda surprise of what I saw and it those not look like what four year me did.
🎵Chuck E Cheese what have you done🎵 🎵 I'd thought we'd be #1🎵 🎵We were the reason the visitors had fun🎵 🎵We sung we danced we'd moved before you could even glance 🎵 🎵But you'd remove us from the floor without a chance🎵
It feels like all that the rock afire gave up so Chuck e. Chesses could thrive is for nothing we lost so many good characters and now there all dead now animatronic wise What’s left? A couple of sock puppets and a dude in a costume? It’s sad
I think the 2.0 is good since animatronics were showing their age and malfunctioning but also it’s kinda dumb because WHAT IF a kid wants to actually watch a show instead of looking at a big freaking screen they should’ve kept both
they are showing age because of how beat up they are. 2.0 is trash get over it, animatronics are way better and people hate 2.0 and I am an official CEC fan who knows everything about the ins and outs of the company
what do you mean "official" fan I am pretty sure that is not a official title also I dont think you know everything about the company little bro now go back to creaming over your beloved special animatronics and cry when there gone
I talk about this subject a good bit on my channel and i agree completely what you said. Like when i went to a local CEC the stage kinda lost its magic for me so i believe its time for us to move on and let the new generations have their own magic with Chuck😁😁😁👍👍👍👍✌️✌️✌️✌️
I know this video is a few years old but this is such an L take. The whole “change is good” argument is such a fallacy. Change just for the sake of change is not beneficial at all. The 2.0 remodels being an example of this. By removing the animatronics, Chuck E Cheese is removing a core part of their identity. I mean they’ve essentially become Dave & Busters Jr. So what’s to stop families for opting for Dave & Busters, or other food/arcade places that offer a wider range of games and prizes that appeal to all ages? See this is where your “good for business” argument falls flat. Without an actual draw, something that distinguishes them from other arcade places, just how long do you think Chuck E Cheese can stay afloat? And do you honestly think a dingy little dance floor (which malfunctions frequently from what I’ve heard) is going to save the business? Also I love how you don’t even offer any numbers to back up your claim that these remodels are “good for business”. As far as I’m aware the 2.0 remodels didn’t garner any uptick in sales. Obviously we were in a pandemic in between the release of this video and the posting of this comment, but things have been opened up for a while now. But again I haven’t done the research and clearly neither have you. But if you do have any proof that these changes have boosted sales/attendance at Chuck E Cheese, I’d like to see it.
I really love the animatronics (they are the reason I even still go there) and I dislike what the 2.0 buildings look like but I think that it would probably be more enjoyable for kids to have an interactable dance floor rather than just staring at moving things for them, I know they say chuck e cheese is for everyone but the slogan is "where a kid can be a kid". I think it's not good to just go and destroy the animatronics like they are nothing but I think it's a good change for who they are trying to appeal to.
Well I’ll tell you the story why the robots are gone they where so old and they crudest do it anymore then onew it would kept breaking down even if they fix them so yeah
YALL to those asking where i went or if im dead, im still very much looking at all the comments im getting! i never expected this video to blow up as it did, and i cannot thank you all enough for that. i do still want to make youtube content, but my work schedule and other things in my personal life make that a little difficult. i will be back! just dont know when haha.
hope you get through it

I wish that most animatronics weren't destroyed once they were taken out of stores, so more people could buy them and have a privately owned show.
@@LKDAnimatronics at least sell the mechs and parts
The cosmetics were the only thing that was destroyed, the mechs were thrown in landfill
The reason they can’t give animatronics to fans is because their licensed! They belong to CEC Entertainment. So don’t get mad at CEC. The characters are just licensed.
@@CyberstarChuck what if some talented genius could make his own set of cec animatronics from scratch? With the right tools and all..
THIS
I will never go To Cec Anymore If mine Has no animatronics
*Trust Me When I say that*
I stopped going to my closest one, Peoria IL
I hate cec 2.0 no robots
Yeah
A phase is a phase no matter where you go.
A stage is a stage that's what I said.
A token is a token this is surely so
And games should be games either way.
The remodel is a mistake, A REALLY big mistake,
Animatronics are things that should be repaired and preserved, I think they should have both the animatronics and the dance floors because they should have part of the restaurant for older fans, and another part for newer fans!
The mascots were a part of entertainment history and were a big staple in it! And as such they need to be preserved for future generations to experience the joy and happiness that the past generations experienced.
That’s excatly what I think!!
It’s was also not a smart financial decision
Ok but they need to keep the rocker stage
@House Owner they didn't. It's because of Covid
It's a painful truth, but it is a truth nonetheless.
Fuck 2.0
I wish Showbiz is still around too. The Rock afire Explosion is much better than the CEC shows.
I really wanted to make a video like this but i could NOT get the words together to do so so i’m really glad you made this!! it’s so important for people to see that while a change like this may be sad, at this point it’s necessary and does have some good that comes with it
The spirit of ptt died in 1984 the love for showbiz died in 1988 and cec died in 2014 but it’s still running in our hearts
That’s a pfp from a stil of a rare Video do you still have it
OK so the reason the animatronics are considered a “side show” it’s because CEC corporate has made them like that.
Wait... It got cancelled YAY!
People:chuck is a rat!
Chuck e cheese in (1977):whose calling me a rat is a nitwit!
Chuck e cheese now:sorry but I'm a mouse.

Shay thay the point to animatronic
Incredibly true
I still look at the animatronics though but my chuck e cheese still has the animatronics and I'm happy there still there (even though I'm a retired animatronic)
I mean like I like the design of 2.0 and the new furniture and stuff but idk if I like the no show it’s gonna be hard but rocksford and Porchagese sorry for my spelling 2 will live on ik it don’t sound a lot but we can enjoy them forever💗
I don't like 2.0
It looks like fnaf secure breach
I think they’re incredibly vibrant and unique, especially the way how they’ve translated their CGI counterparts into mascot characters (and no,
I’m not a furry lmao)
I agree with all of your points with this video, you said everything perfectly and I am very sorry that you received so much hate for this.

Only thing is that I wish they advertised the dance floor more on in stores. Sadly, my local show did get 2.0 I think around 2020, but I’ve gone there quite a while now so I’ve grown to the new look. Great video! 😊

me neither
I know what you feel! I’m from Poland in Europe and I’ve never been in any CEC but it still takes a big place in my heart and childhood memories
Yep thanks for not likeing 2.0 I hate it too
Concept Unification is more painful to be honest.
Why can't they just keep the animatronics or upgrade them while keeping the new design?
things cost money, and i don’t think cec really cares for their animatronics anymore. it all started with the showroom walls being removed, then curtains, mediocre programming for some shows, etc. that’s just the unfortunate truth.
@@chukst3r417 the payout would definitely overtake the cost if they did upkeep their animatronics anyway
What she mentions: 2.0 is a good change
What she *doesn't* mention: 2.0 costs too much to maintain, and will sink the company into debt.
That is YOUR opinion maintaining a dance floor will be WAY less expensive then maintaining a animatronic band. Also animatronic are only really associated with FNAF and other paranormal stuff.
@@randomuser9883 No, they aren't.
Retard needs to read up on the history of Disney and Pizza Time Theater.
You also obviously didn’t watch the video Families nowadays don’t want animatronics everywhere Chuck E. Cheese needs to adapt to changes over the years.
Yea But 2.0 Still Sucks they should keep some locations with the bots
And because of this 2.0 we lost the rocker stage
I agree with most but disagree about the decor. it's supposed to be obnoxious it's a kids place not a library. And personally, the art work looks very bland and generic at best. One of the whole reasons most fans were drawn to the appeal of most cec locations WAS that some of the chuck e cheese artwork from different phases over the years. Despite cec being a chain store it really gave certain locations character. Now every location is just gonna look the same.
9:31 the Chuck animatronic looks so cool 🤩

It's too bad most kids who grew up with the animatronics got scared
3:47 where did you get the footage from.
They should at least have a bigger tv screen so you have something to watch when your eatting without your eyes hurting
As far as I'm aware, there are 2.0 locations that does have a huge TV screen on the wall.

The phase 2/3 CD posters and showbiz pizza time wall art were better than phase 3/4 as they parodied pop culture..
The only thing staying the same is the fact that it’s a building.
@Blues Pizza Place Aka Cyberstar Virginia oh yeah
I actually agree due to the fact that the guy/girl would have more space to dance and the kids have more room to dance with chuck and there's a possibly that some stores is gonna have COL (Circle of light stage) and you kinda miss something is that the some restaurants wants to remove the animatronics because it can be expensive to repair them. As a fan base we should just accept it. San Jose can be the last store to have animatronics because that's where the 2nd restaurant is open.
The powerful rat has gone too far to far
And one thing…
WHERE ARE YOU RIGHT NOW!
The wall with all 5 characters names and desctiptions reminds me of security breach but idk why
Oh I toes like the sighs that says jam and party and rock like the lobby posters? Like where you get the entry pass?
Fuck the 2.0 they really screwed up the one in San Jose on Tully Road I hope they leave the one on kooser Road alone
I heard they gave the one on tully road a COL stage with no bot right?
@@LoganJ2006 yes unfortunately they did the beginning of this year they did the remodel but the other location on kooser Road the one that's been open since 1978 still has their two stage I hope it stays that way based on the history but we'll see what gets me is the one on Tully Road it's one of the biggest in the chain we'll at least in the US back in the 80s in mid-90s I believe had the most animatronic characters that place is just too damn big to not have animatronic it would have been sweet if they would have got a circle of Lights with a bot
Yeah it would have. But I will take a bottless COL over just having a dance floor.
Do they still have the animatronics on Fontaine Lane?

Wow, I honestly agree as well. Even though I really loved the animatronic shows so much, I’m actually looking forward for a big and bright future for Chuck E. Cheese and his friends. Who knows when they’ll end up in? Hopefully, we’ll get ourselves a stage show featuring the characters in costume form, à la CheeseVention X.
Lmao Chuck e cheese fans are raging at a floor
IM WHEEZING
I mean, what else are we supposed to go to Chuck E. Cheese for? Just about all of us are adults/teenagers. We aren't going to go there just to watch some kids throw their bodies around on a floor that changes color. We go there for the animatronics.
@@LKDAnimatronics exactly

As much as I don't like to point out I do have to agree with you. On multiple points. Chuck E cheese is due to a remodel. However not one like this. I think it would be better if they kept the stage and brought in the dance floor as well so the electronics and the dance floor would be together

That's actually a really cool idea, I like that!
@@Mylesledragon CEC entertainment doesn't care about their fans
Maybe for locations that have cyberamic stages or three stages, they could put new clothes on them, for example Munch could have the shirt that he wears in current artwork, Helen could have the dress that she wears in current artwork, etc.

Nah, I still hate it. Animatronics were the best. They were the only reason I went as a kid. Also they fired Duncan Brannan and replaced him the lead singer of Bowling For Soup. A band that hasn’t been relevant in a very very long time. It’s not my Chuck E. Cheese.
i was really sad when they anounced it
Ok so am still kinda young but I remember the adventure area and remember loving it and even had a birthday party and my local Chuck E. I think the 2.0 is good since animatronics were showing their age and malfunctioning but also it’s kinda dumb because WHAT IF a kid wants to actually watch a show instead of looking at a big freaking screen they should’ve kept both
Also the dance floor can cost a lot of money to fix
they are showing age because of how beat up they are. 2.0 is trash get over it, animatronics are way better and people hate 2.0 and I am an official CEC fan who knows everything about the ins and outs of the company

how do you like the dance floor the animatronics are way better
But if you do have any proof that these changes have boosted sales/attendance at Chuck E Cheese, I’d like to see it.
love this comment because its so passive aggressive over what is clearly an opinion piece LOL calm down friend
