mercury make great motors now me thinks have a 30 on the back of my 2020 busta side console quiet as great on fuel did 2.5 hrs at 5 knots used 2.5l of fuel doesnt miss a beat couldnt be happier with it your boat looks great cant wait to see some big ones being dragged on board
Mate , nice boat... so compared to buying a name brand boat turn key like Stabi Craft / Yellow Fin for around the 140k mark 6.5 to 7 mtr , what sought of ball park figure could you build one of these babies for.... i have looked on boats online and seen Oceanic Fabrication have a few base modles 7.6 mtr hard top around the 40k mark just hull, what would the fit out ball figure be trailer/engine and interior base electronics ect?? Cheers
Hi mate. Look it all depends on how much of the fit out your going to tackle yourself. If you do most of it yourself you will get out of it for around $110k mark. Now the difference between a custom oceanic boat and a mainstream boat is chalk and cheese, the oceanic will be built exactly the way you want it and is a tank compared to the others, there really is no comparison IMO.
@@excessivefishingaustralia2849 Thanks for replying mate, im going to check out Ocanics, defently seems like you get more for your money doing it your self.... and there nice boats.
yeah very nice looking boat on the water. Interesting the back decks rack back too the underside of the transom above the waterline. You do that for a reason what is the benefit?
Hi mate , I’m curious about the GO9 with the 1kw transducer. I’ve been told they can’t run the 1kw off the GO series so I went a smaller transducer for mine. How does yours go? What would I need to upgrade to the same? Cheers
Yeh the go 9 runs it fine. It’s doesn’t have the power of the nss, but still enough to get good results with the 1kw. You don’t need to do anything besides upgrading the transducer👌
@@matthew_borserini Yeah not sure where you fish mate, but where I fish you might get a couple days a year you are able to cruise at 35kn in a 6.8m boat, maybe if I lived up north the extra speed would be handy!
@@matthew_borserini In that case yeh, the extra HP would be handy. We get up there a coupla times a year and thats one place you can open it up more, just got to watch the turtles:)
I would have liked a bit more detail in the review in the boat and an actual fishing scene with four blokes and see how it works as a practical demo take a look at the way bribane yamaha do their ads and on water tests its very thorough and practice will make your vids better a tip remove the sunglasses when i cant see your eyes that bothers me and its rude 😊
Super happy for you mate! thanks for the explanation on the motor placement and prop pitch's...learning a lot.
Wow, the boat must be fast, the drone could not follow it as it took off, but the boat is so nice and a beast, well done
Nice one mate, looks the goods, Ive also just gone a 200 merc- XS pro and love it. Really quiet and great on fuel
Good looking rig mate !!!!! Love the console set up ….👍👍👍👍
You picked your day for the sea trials!
Great boat and review mate. Stoked for ya 🤙🏼

Any walk through vids of the boat after fit out in the pipeline?
Hi mate, yep, will have one up in the next coupla weeks👍
yeah very nice looking boat on the water. Interesting the back decks rack back too the underside of the transom above the waterline. You do that for a reason what is the benefit?
Hi Frank, thanks for watching. Nah there is no benifit as far as I know, its just the way the builder finnishes off the transom.
Looks sic mate! Would love to jump on that on if you ever come down Walpole way! Hit some waves props out for the boys...

Thanks mate, if were ever down that way we will look ya up:)

Nice one

Sick build u should get a 250 tho
Couldnt justify spending the extra $6,000 for an extra few knots when its rare you can actually use WOT! It cruises perfectly on 26/27kn:)
Yea we have a 200 mercury too, on a 6.6m it gets 42 knots

I’m running the p66 transducer off mine but the return doesn’t seem that good
@@excessivefishingaustralia2849 wicked looking boat you’ve built too BTW 👌
Yeh, I can read bottom at 200m ok, could be better with a NSS but still does the job. The GOs are great value for money👍
What’s the wear in time before you start giving them a flogging?
Hi mate, 10hrs is the magic number:)
How much would one of these sick boats cost
Up around the $120g mark👍
Should of went with a 300 Yamaha
For an extra $10,000, the 200hp is just fine:)
@@excessivefishingaustralia2849 with a 300 your cruising speed is usually increased 5-10 more knots
