We flew out of Bologna because it was the closest airport and we hired a private taxi since we were a group of 6. The cruise line does arrange motor coach transportation to the airport and train station. Passengers are given a number depending on your flight arrangements for the transportation so everything is very well organized. The website has all of the options for disembarking too. Hope you have a wonderful cruise!

(Since I assume you flying in and out of bologna, that’s where you embarked from) My fiancé and I will be flying into bologna for our honeymoon in October for a cruise on the explorer of the seas so any tips you can provide for day of boarding would be super awesome! 😊
@@newmyster8839 Hi! Since we were a group of 6 we rented a private taxi to take us and we had no issues finding the port. Royal also provides you a designated time to embark the ship to make the process as smooth as possible. Hope you have a wonderful trip!

Thank you! We booked the excursions around four months ahead of time which I recommend because things can get booked.

I’m doing this cruise next week but with Santorini instead of Athens.
