I am so impressed by how sincere this young mayor is. We have seen how he handled the pylons crisis, and we are watching him handle this cholera outbreak. Notice how he does not scapegoat this problem out to previous administrations and leaders... notice how he speaks honestly whilst keeping his mind focused on the current realities. This is the type of leadership we need... someone who is not scared to stick his hands in the muck to clean up the mess that is our country over the last 20+ years. A guy that is solutions and results driven. Thank you for standing strong in such difficult times Mr. Brink. I hope that RSA leadership can learn a thing or two from you. (Even within the DA)

Poor DA, people so quick to point a finger at them, they are trying to sort out 2 decades of bad ANC legacy faults and mismanagement. DA can't fix 20 years of rot in 2 months in office... people always forget that. we support you DA! Prove what you need to, go Cilliers Brink!
It really is dreadful- the ANC crowing about being South Africa being the best African country, but fails to even supply clean water to the citizens, let alone electricity.
The ANC Organisation have establish these labor laws and unions to protect these criminal syndicates and cartels; that need to change; any wrong doing or extortion should be stopped immediately 😢these people should be fired.
A number of years ago our previous chief justice, Mogoeng, a staunch Christian, wrote the following: "If I curse Abraham and Israel the almighty will curse me too. I cannot do anything, as a Christian, other than love and pray for Israel because I know hatred for Israel by me and my nation can only attract unprecedented curses" ....I believe it is common knowledge the problems we face here in South Africa as well as the negative criticism and what is regularly said of Israel and its people by various members of the South African government. Makes one think !!
I just watched the JJ Thabane interview regarding this. There's way too much political posturing from the ANC on this matter, even the so-called representative of the residents was just pushing an ANC agenda instead of raising important questions. As for the misunderstanding about the wording on what needs to happen, that exists between the municipality and water affairs, I don't know.

My thoughts precisely! Well said.
So grateful you are now the mayor. Trust you to do the right thing. Good luck !!
DA inherited 20 years of problems; ANC need to make the funds available now to fix this problem once and for all. There is only one SARS office.

100% got in every chance he could to point fingers at the DA he made himself look more guilty with his level of denial of ANCs role.
