This is why I love the mpc so much. You can make the same cut and stretch type corrections like you did with serato except with the mpc you're turning cool little knobs to do it. Different strokes for different folks but the tactile approach is one thing that keeps me making beats. Also the new haircut is just as beautiful as the eyelashes
I use maschine rnrn and I loveee it. But I have to say sometimes because of how it slices samples and the lack of a FULL arranger, you’re a bit limited with how you can manipulate samples. If I was flipping a full song and wanted to draw from parts :45 seconds In and parts 2:17, my workflow would be quicker in say fruity loops than Maschine. Not to say that it’s impossible in maschine, but it’s better for chopping up short samples in my humble opinion.
As a lover of minimalistic boom bap beats your videos help me so much in not only arranging but complimenting the vibe of the main loop with the surrounding instruments, you're the man at this Navie! Also, your eyelashes make my heart melt you majestic king
ive taken a lil hiatus from music for mental health and personal issues i had to resolve... after a lil over a year im getting back into it and your videos are really dope! not too long.. straight to the point and in depth too.. thanks for your channel bro!
Your beats and tutorials are the best I've ever seen and heard on TH-cam so far. There's so much energy in there. And you make it perfectly understandable. Thank you so much for your work. 🙏❤🔥
You have a successful TH-cam Channel, a Biceps that shows dedication and you make dope music. Chill bro. You're good. Thanks for being awesome. And silly. 🙌😁
You should gather all your music you make for videos and distribute it in some way. You make great music and I know you said you didn't like working directly with artists, but I bet you could get paid for EACH loop and song you make to teach us you make incredible stuff Navie! .. and you have beautiful eyelashes ❤️
I watch your videos daily and apply what I learn to make beats I'm a beginner in all of this and just got FL studio :) thanks for everything you do Navie D
i know it's expensive but Izotope music rebalance can fix the problems like claps, removing kicks but not the bass, etc. It lets you separate the stems using some kinda ai and it's pretty good (you can level 4 elements, vocals, drums, bass, and "other" which is everything else)
This video is really helpful I’ve been making beats about 7/8 months, I’m going to spend some time on your channel and hopefully enrol on your course next time it’s available, great work, great channel 👌🏻
@@NavieD you honestly should be getting paid to teach at a college or something brother. You explain very well and have a good way of putting things into words so i can comprehend them
Would you ever consider doing beat breakdowns on the your tracks you produced for Joey on Summer Knights? Sweet dreams is my favorite song on that mixtape by the way!
I'm team drums, if you match your drums with the ones in the sample, you can come up with a pretty cool bounce... but don't forget to filter the sample, otherwise you'll end up with a mess lmao
Hey Navie, can you make a Video about acoustic treatment for beatmakers? How much treatet is your Studio and what are your recommendations on a budget? Thanks a lot ! 😀
Still don't really know how to make beat fit the tempo to use it well in fruity slicer, nobody explain it well. I wanted to use song "Patti LaBelle Love Need and Want You " Maybe Navie, you can show on it how to work with hard samples? And how to use fruity slicer correctly?
The concepts in the course apply no matter what you use. I have producers in my course that use the MPC and they've told me the course helped them immensely. I just happen to use FL to explain all of the ideas, much like my YT channel.
@@NavieD Using a different DAW may even be helpful at a certain level. Back in the days FL tutorials were often rather amateurish, so I started watching people using other DAWs. The advantage is, that you have to start learning the important terms and really understand what every function does to adjust the process to your DAW or your plugin.

Amen, love the MPC for stand-alone and Push 2 for working with a DAW. I can’t make music without some tactile aspect to it
I will say, I used to use the Maschine and I definitely miss the tactile feel of doing this with knobs

Yooo spvidz!
your eyelashes are dope. your beat tips are even better. been 20 years in the game and you still lace me up. thanks mang!
Damn this beat is beautiful I really want to hear somebody like Joey Badass on it
I want to hear you on it
I demand someone tell me I have beautiful eyelashes, otherwise I am deleting my channel
You just made an enemy for life Joey.
JK I still love you
Hey Navie. Are you teaching mixing aswell in the course?

Always love seein you in here Joseph!

Been struggling with boom bap for a while, think this helped a ton!
I hope this helps Vamp!
The sample chop alone gives me that making a Baby type like the good old 90's🔥🔥🔥🔥

lookin good navie!
😘 Thank you Shino
Whut up, Navie? Eyelashes lookin good, bro! I watch your channel all the time, thanks from Tennessee.
Thank you Sammy Sam! Shout out to Tennessee and the Three Six Mafia
Automating the EQ on the loop to solo the flute to make the drop harder is dope had to rewatch a few times to work out what it was for lol
I think the coolest and most fun part of this process is when trying to find out which sample from the 90s😎
90s has some pretty interesting samples for sure
Now I need a bicep workout tutorial
Step 1, hover mouse over like button. Step 2, flex arm until your finger clicks
something ill say about boombap is generally the drums are mixed even louder than your beat.
this is a personal preference thing of course
This was unbelievably helpful, I’m used to TH-cam being quite useless in this field but this man knows what he’s doing!
Hahah glad I can be of use Gunnar!
@@NavieD Appreciate the knowledge good sir!
Navie having a 🔥 new hair cut I see you haha great tut the sample manipulation tips are fireee
