Most grass rooted informational video for bow hunters and even target shooters that are thinking of getting into hunting and management, from one big island grown guy to another mahalo for the information and content. My favorite channel and videos out. Ur content should be shown in schools and colleges around the state. and u should be speaking around the state as well. Mahalo for everything ur getting out there and for actually getting out there. It makes me sad to see the aina changing in some ways but makes me happy to see that there is someone like you speaking so well and getting the information and trying to find a solution
Just added a 👍 115. Good shot on that ewe, too bad ur buddy couldn't make it. I remember u taking us maui guys hunting once at pohakuloa. I had shot over aram there and hit a smaller on with a reverse 🦄, I think u remember. Then u shot a big ram with ur recurve. Great video especially the info on game management. Now that's the real hunt, hunting peoples minds and making them AWARE and thinking and thanking you for the invite of what the future holds for the next generation. Sure we don't spoil it them, fantastic info and best of all where and how it was presented on the video. You gotta have your buddy Kayden to be more vocal too lol. Once I had to help him out on his video at kapapala archery tournament, was cool I had that skull scene on the opening part of video, was fun 🤣. Keep pressing and thank you for helping to protect the hunting for future generations. Until then aloha
I’m brand new to bow hunting, super rookie, white belt status. Haven’t actually been on a bow hunt yet, but I’m diving into head first and discovered your videos. I’m definitely picking up what you’re putting down man. And I can definitely see the point and agree with it 100%. At the very least, we can copy a link and share it on our pages to spread some kind of awareness. Keep on putting out the informative content, it’s very much appreciated! \m/\m/
What a wonderful hunt! That it great you got your animal. Good luck on your future ibex hunt. It is always good to have quality meat in the freezer. Definitely a bucket list hunt, hunting in Hawaii. I have a axis hunt in Maui next year. I am looking forward to it. Keep up the great work.
Aloha bruddah, I moved out here for school but the love for hunting wild game came with me. I plan on bow hunting on the islands but I just wanted to know if you knew the seasons for goat hunting on Oahu. I also wasn't sure there was a website that explains all of the regulations as everything I have read so far is quite vague in description. Great video as well, mahalo!
Peruse around in here : dlnr.hawaii.gov/dofaw/ Hopefully you can find some information through our local DNR website. I don't have much experience at all hunting Oahu being a Big Island resident.
Truth. Not predators in nature you get overpopulation and a dust owl. Why waste the carcass meat? It’s a shame. Would I be allowed to hunt up there on Saddle with my rifles? I’d be interested as I’ve never hunted before. Thank you for information. Aloha
Great hunt! What is future with all of the animals piled up on all of the private lands and not allowing any hunting except expensive private hunting for rich only?
Isn't the hunting "industry" in general moving toward more exclusive private land operations? I'm not saying I agree with it totally, but such is the unfortunate way of things perhaps. Hunters should not be surprised if our community shrinks as a result of the barrier of entry to hunting being risen too high due to their desire for exclusiveness. And when hunters lose political influence as another result of that, so be it. I say it not in a negative light but rather as an observation and I don't think it takes a genius to see where we are headed on the current trajectory. In this notion of putting more exclusive things on a pedestal, I don't think we are doing ourselves any favors for future recruitment. But I am just a tiny deal here haha! I see it almost sad how some of our most influential fight almost nothing for the community they came from when compared to their effort to advance their own personal marketing. Hey to each their own ... but I can promise I don't forget where I came from ... I came from public hunting and always will be. Back to your question : If the private landowners, often land-rich and cash poor in Hawaii, can't find a benefit in the game on their land ... I'm going to guess it'll get eradicated or used as a public crisis to gather public funding for private land problems. This "public crisis" residing on "private lands" is already a political topic I think I'm seeing locally. Such is Hawaii ... I think Hawaii is far too easily politically controlled/manipulated with a citzenry much isolated from being able to experience alternatives.
Hunting shots are nearly always 100% different than practicing shots in your comfortable home range. Even those that CAN hit at extended range have the wind to fight. I’m sure you’ve done the New Mexico hunt by now as I’m writing but I urge you to go to small fixed blade. Like Slic Trick standards or the Magnus Black Hornets serrated. I guarantee if your bow AND arrows are tuned together either of these heads will hit your mark to at least 80 yards. I’m 72 years old and draw 60#’s at 28” with 426 grain finished arrow and with either head will group 7-8” at 60 yards which is my max practice distance.
I always thought a hunters ethical shots were determined by the maximum distance they could accurately shoot consistently. I think the shot was like you said: pretty good but not great. It didn't look like it took super long for the ewe to go down.
Braddah I cannot agree with you more on the condition of Pohakuloa, and the environmental politics going on, super frustrating, let me know how I can help get word out 🤙🏽
Mahalo Mark! Love the music! I'm not quite sure the path forward for Hawaii. Crazy times we live. I've gone down quite a few roads with it and only few more remain I think. Just tough to make a living here and find the time and resources to chase other things at the same time.

thanks! Ibex takes some luck out there for sure.
Great video! Wanting to hunt the big island for the first time. Is there an outfitter there you’d recommend?

@@ryankohatsu8836 okay awesome, i appreciate your help
Love the content! What hoops do you have to jump through in order to hunt out there? I live on the big island and would love to do more bow hunting
Great 80 yard shot. Great day to be hunting.
good hunt, tune up for your Ibex hunt. Great terrain and best of all....no rattlesnakes! Unlike the Arizona desert terrain where I chase muley bucks.
💯💯💯🤙
Nice sheep! Corolla is a great car, especially with current gas prices. ; )
oh yeah! I sold my truck back in July so the wife’s car is all I got haha!
🤙🏽🤙🏽🤙🏽🤙🏽 Awesome 👏
i agree 💯%
Great work! I really enjoy your content and demeanor. Good luck in new mexico. Can't wait to see your Ibex kill.
