  • Matoke, locally also known as matooke, amatooke, ekitookye in southwestern Uganda, ekitooke in western Uganda, ebitooke in northwestern Tanzania, igitoki in Rwanda, and by the cultivar name East African Highland banana, is a starchy triploid banana cultivar originating from the African Great Lakes. Matoke are sometimes referred to as plantains, rather than bananas because they are eaten after cooking. Plantains are relatively easy to peel, though, but matoke can't be peeled in the same way as ordinary bananas when they're unripe and the process is a little more complicated.

      not kill him but Hay hio muganda hawezi kula. Atleast just mashi bila hio muchanganyiko wote. mashed matooke don't need anything only water for cooking. Daniya, hoho, all used to make sauce that goes with mashed matooke but if you enjoy what you mixing and your viewers fine..
