At night, yes. Both did good during the day and Samsung stomped in video and front facing camera quality. Samsung photos of people looked FAR better.
Vivo is best in every aspect except audio quality and stabilization

Vivo is a champ here and an overall best daily driver based in my experience. Vivo user here and I can say a lot about this device positively especially a much cheaper option than Samsung! Vivo has truly improved a lot.
Samsung is overall better package and value it holds after longterm usage is better , all and all vivo has edge in camera , but Chinese phones still don't understand skin tones and they make the picture wierd , Apple samsung are still ahead and more VFM although expensive , samsung will keep on improving the phone even when s25 series comes and that says alot .

Vivo is just on another Level!! and the best shots for me are Vintage Portrait shots and sunset pics😍 It cant get boring with this phone!!
But if you're more like a video person and display is important for you the s24u is the better choice👍
Decided to get the X100 Pro a few weeks ago as a secondary phone and it's a perfect complementary device to my S24 Ultra. I'll still absolutely go with my S24 Ultra for concerts and videography purposes hands down, however for photography, Vivo's my pick easily. But if i were to pick the best smartphone experience overall personally, Samsung takes it.

Night photos are insane on vivo, but low light video had those street light jitters while you were walking…is stabilisation a concern on videos of vivo, especially at night?
It's a thing on all smartphones. Some are just small. Others huge. That's just EIS being EIS.
Im using samsung for daily driver the user friendly to my needs.. Not only about camera what i use everyday.. Its about life.
Vivo's front camera was updated a while ago to record the video in 4k, so the latest firmware updates weren't installed as stated. I wonder what else is incorrect.

samsung is good but in our country vivo is much cheaper considering the price difference there is not much huge difference in camera so vivo is a choice for me, if they are at the same price samsung is my choice.
Wow.. Nice one ! Well i've been looking for hours and hours of videos and reviews of mainly the Vivo, M6 Pro and Xiaomi 14 Ultra vs S24 U comparisons.. the Vivo takes the Gold imo. The S24U and almost all Samsung phone cameras tend to oversaturate photos, or has a greenish tone to them, yes most pictures look crispier and have deeper colors, but that's mainly because of oversaturation and a hell lotta sharpening ( not as bad as on the Xiaomi, which even using AI completely replaces zoomed in picture details with it's own imagination haha ).
The M6 Pro isn't bad, but lacks of many camera features of the Vivo and Samsung, but it has insanely good battery life.
The Vivo however does have an excelent portrait mode, changing the focal lenght is a huge plus, but it has it's own flaws, mostly with the white balance and night sky shots. But considering the Vivo costs ( at least few hundreds less ) than the other phones.. it's a win for me.

Rly hard to make a decission , Vivo is "only" FHD+ and Sound and Mic lack, thats my main complain
And yes i like the Samsung anti Glare Screen, BUT i HATE this 45W charging

Hi, I am not sure about the screen protection on Vivo x100 pro. Any idea on screen protection and about the durability under normal drops?
I have dropped the phone a couple days ago and the screen protector cracked not the actual display.

I was surprised with the portrait photos (6:47). Usually Vivo's shots look picture perfect, but here they were too contrasty on the faces and I preferred Samsung nearly every time. 😢
Samsung wins in most important categories video and picture color, stabilization, natural color and dynamic range it's SAMSUNG the champ.
He used the "natural" filter of no filter in the Vivo results would be far better.
Unless your subject is moving then Samsung is terrible

Maybe in the UK the price is different, but where I live they have almost the same price, because Vivo is very rare. Not mentioning all the deals you can get on Samsung.

Geez those low light photos on the Vivo are incredible. Shame the vivo video is atrocious in any condition's. Need a redo once the major camera updates drop for the s24u this month.
When it comes to white clour - vivo over exposes it evry time, thats the weak spot for vivo, while samsung is spot on.
Check the white thread of the hoodie in both. Samsung is clearer

The Vivo has white balance problems and it's sky shots can be hit and miss. It's portraits though are stunning. The Samsung is not as over saturated as I was expecting, but there is oversharpening as Picture Softening was not selected on this device I guess for the sake of fairness and balance. Overall, I like the natural color balance on the Vivo more, but only by a surprisingly small margin. In terms of video quality, the Samsung is better in nearly all key areas. The Vivo needs work here, and this is where the price difference makes sense. Still, they are both fine devices overall.

The bigger the sensor, the better the drawing, you can't beat this rule with firmware.

for those people who feel the vivo images are too bright ..its the chinese version and the color is tuned differently ..the global model produces way more natural shots
