    Thank you.
    It is so refreshing to see somebody who is all about the creative process and technique rather than gear and preset oriented.
    I really appreciate all the work you put into this.

    I like the way you transform a corner of your studio into a disco or night spot based on light ... extraordinary! I liked that in the end you cut enough so that you don't see a small part of the other leg because that caused distraction ...

    What if you had placed a main light aimed at her face? (perhaps using a grid or barn doors) I also would have tried with a silver umbrella, instead of the white soft that you used, and used it as a hair and separation light. Not that I don't like your image, it is just imagining what the result would have been doing these changes. i am going to try it myself. Thanks again, Lidsay, you inspire me to experiment!

    Really cool!! I often look for space behind the subject but this way you really used the "tight" area with a wall right behind the model and it turned out so well. Good lighting made it possible for such a set up I think. Really nice! You got a sub!

    I enjoy your work and your work flows quite a bit. Just to nitpick and I’m sure you know this: the opposite of red isn't green. It's cyan. The one thing that bothered me about your final image was the line of the back of the couch. It was close to horizontal, but not quite horizontal. Making it horizontal might have given the feel of stiffness, but left the way you did it feels like I want to nudge it level.

    • @lindsayadlerphoto
      @lindsayadlerphoto  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      So there are actually a couple of color wheels! Which I always thought to be strange-- but they will actually have different colors match up from one another on the color wheel. So in some that is true. And sure, I totally see the horizontal part.:D

    Wow! Thanks a lot Lindsay!
    You're like Santa for giving us such beautiful presents! But... you're real, so basically you're better than Santa! :D
    BTW I've always wondered how to attach gels to bare bulb strobes. I feel you're doing this a lot so you must have a super hiding technique (aka DIY maybe!) but I find this quite tricky since I'm afraid they kinda melt on the bulb...
    Thanks again for all those wonderful videos
    Regards from France!

    • @lindsayadlerphoto
      @lindsayadlerphoto  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I just use gaffers tape and bend them out so the gel isn't directly against the head. :D

    Great content and tips as always. Love the colors, lighting and feeling. I´m just curious only about one thing: what if you had swaped the C-stand and regular tripod positions? That way you could avoid the image left side cloning.

    • @lindsayadlerphoto
      @lindsayadlerphoto  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Makes no difference. probably just speed.. I only have so much space on either side and it was probably just what was easiest to maneuver. You could do as you suggest for sure!

    This is really well explained. Thank you! I have a theoretical question... if I’d shoot this with the same set up, but I’d use a beauty dish instead of the key light and an Octabox instead of the deep umbrella. How would that change the look? Do you think it would be significantly different?

    • @lindsayadlerphoto
      @lindsayadlerphoto  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I think if you position the light carefully you could get a similar look... the spread of light and quality would change slightly but not significantly.

    @jedisct1 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    How are you attaching gels to barebulb profoto lights ?

    • @lindsayadlerphoto
      @lindsayadlerphoto  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      They have the frosted glass in front (so I don't have to worry about them hitting the flash tube itself). All I do is use gaffers tape and slightly bow out the gel to not touch the front. That's it!

    • @jedisct1
      @jedisct1 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks a ton! That’s what I am doing but the frosted glass quickly gets really hot and I’m always scared that the gel may catch on fire.
