    if you look at the USA they have a ton of loans out on very low interest rates locked in for the life of the loan. They have to cut the rates because the property market has very little inventory and there is no movement. People will not sell and buy when the rates are at 7% when they have a 2% loan. They are trying to stimulate a flow again by lowering the rate to encourage movement in the market again. In Australia we dont have that problem as such because our interest rates keep changing on our loans and they have greater control over us in that respect

      Australian banks also don't offer long-term fixed rates like other countries. Our housing market cannot be compared to the USA etc

    There's nothing wrong with immigration if it's at the appropriate levels. Our current levels are excessive and need to be cut by at least 80% or put on hold for a year or two
