Well youngman you are so right I've been cutting hair since I was 15 now 57 and all I had bad 1 trimmer and 2 pairs of clippers for everything. But the clippers companies are making a killing now not only on barbers but on normal people that cut their own hair.

There's nothing like the cords, I agree... they get hot. But it makes sense to have more than one pair. I have at least 2 pairs of every clipper, for that reason. When one gets hot, sit it down, let it cool off, and grab the other one. Keep them in rotation. But YES, I agree. Cordless clippers are for hype, and they don't last long. And honestly, they're too expensive. For ME, at least...

I’ve had corded clippers and cordless. Eventually went back to all corded cuz it just made sense for me. Everything about it just works better in my situation. I don’t usually have a problem with my tools getting hot because I use my mentor detachables for bulk, guidelines, initial blend and balding out which is fast with a detachable. Then finish up the fade with my corded masters and phat masters. Then line up with either corded t outliner for main line up or wahl hero for facial hair line up. And the main bonus is that they are all so quiet minus the heros. Can buy that entire set up for not much more than some of these cordless clippers(Andis). It’s wild. But it’s a business at the end of the day so I can respect it, just ain’t for me.

This guy speak the truth , all truth . Me thinking it too . The clippers are all likely being made the same no matter what names of the brand or company . It's just business for them . They are not like smartphone always evolving the technology and the company made them always compete to made the better tech for consumer .

All facts. Not even gonna lie bro… I don’t take cordless clippers seriously. The fact that a DC (rotary motor) is only about $2…. And is paired with a plastic housing and a $4 blade…. You can’t convince me that a clipper or trimmer that’s cordless is worth more than $30 and that’s with a good $15 in profit for the company but I get it… it’s business…I have a few for simple things like line ups and quick tapers but for for bulk I’m sticking to what makes sense 🔌

Couldn't you just but a new battery instead of a new clipper? I'm a barber student for 5 months and this was a great lesson to learn.

Get those .44 Caliber Fmj clippers.... I use them everyday in a busy barbershop. Off a full charge and cutting for 6 or 7 hours the clippers never get warm or hot, and at the end if the day it'll be at 60% Power left.... those clippers are better than alot of clippers out there

So are there corded, rotary motor clippers and trimmers that exist in the market that you use? Seems like all you have in your arsenal are cordless trimmers.

Nothing new. Same goes with other electric/electronic devices. That's how the make money and sometime using new and advance tech will cost more or make the previous tech obsolete.
