    As a barber, the best trick I learned and use everytime is, instead of white towel, I use black towel, that way any blood from client cut is not visible when I wipe the blade off the towel.

    I think it would be super helpful if you made a video for each part of the practical. I’m about to graduate and I’m studying and I think having a demonstration of each section would be super beneficial.

      @@jum0n3y me personally I have multiple trimmers one is my hitter wich is super sharp and I hardly get close to the skin and my non adjustable for my skin line or bald line to set me up for success. Then to make any edge up sharper just use your razor blade

    Very informative video and good energy and I like how straight to the point it is as well without a lot music competing with your voice as well. I see you have a great potiential to be big because of that, your more proper english speaking to be universal across different people, respect and many more. Salute.

    • @mattthabarber
      @mattthabarber ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I was thinking the same, I was taught everything should be done from the clients right side. It sure helps for strokes 8 and 9 and that awkward positioning !

    • @HellaReckless
      @HellaReckless ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah the reverse strokes should
      Be performed standing behind the client. I’m in GA

      @everettwhite9874 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@HellaReckless When I took board “reverses” we’re behind the client. However, I can appreciate the differences among state boards. Plus, that was a whole lotta years ago. 😊

      Not a barber but a hobbyist. Loosen the two screws and "0 gap" them within 1/32 of an inch from fixed comb blade to cutter blade then turn screws incrementally 1/4 turn each side and check alignment.

    Great video! I’m a barber student in North Carolina. Our stroke progressions are the same, however here stroke 12 is optional for freehand or backhand whichever you prefer.
    I noticed that you walked to the other side of the client on stroke 7. Here we are trained to stand on the same side of the client the whole shave (whether you are right or left-handed). Is that normal practice for you or just for the purpose of the video? I’m asking because I’m originally from Mississippi and may move back one day and want to do everything right for the board there IF I go back.
    Love your videos as always, please keep up the great work!
    Respectfully
