Thanks for watching Mark! I really enjoyed speaking with Richard! I'll be asking him a lot of questions as I approach my first ultra as well! Keep pushing my friend!
What a amazing wide variety of experiences Richard has had, I like how he said we don’t really compete against other people but compete against ourselves, & that’s a good one, better to be good consistently than great every now & then, keep up the good work Richard & Paul, 👏✅🍀👍🏻🏃🏽♂️🍕🌲🥳
Hey Paul! Just finished watching your interview with Richard, and it was truly motivating. Richard's dedication to trail running and weight training is impressive, and I appreciate how he emphasizes the importance of consistency and listening to one's body. Great job on the interview, and I look forward to more inspiring content from both of you. Keep up the fantastic work! Cheers!
Still waters run deep it seems!!! What in inspirational guy!! I subscribed to his channel after your marathon live-stream, Paul, and now I'm truly looking forward to exploring his videos!! My mouth dropped open a few times there listening to him ... I don't even like running with 1/2litre of water much less a 20lb steel weight!!!! That's over 9kg!!!
Great coversation as always! I am thinking of trying some ultra and alternate running stuff in the future for sure. In the meantime, I am still concentrating on running again. Richard is inspirational!
Great talk with two great guys! Cool to heard about how Richard got into running from boxing! Ruck racing sounds intense reminds me of those terrible ruck marches in the army lol.
Genuinely great to hear Richard's background and his dedication to all his endurance events. Also enjoyed the discussion on calisthenic training which I am 100% in agreement with. I didn't see a dedicated video about your marathon PR attempt on the track? I did see some of a live stream showing you very narrowly missed it though. I am sure you are aware of this, but you are likely fitter now than you were when you did the PR, if that course was downhill. I am sure the overall downhill nature of that course would have made a significant difference and if on that day, it had been performed on a track, you would likely not have performed as well as you did a week or two ago...if I am reading this correctly?
Yes Richard is a wellspring of fitness knowledge and I enjoy his content! I agree with your read of my marathon fitness Duncan. I'm hoping to keep the ball rolling for another PR attempt this coming winter! We shall see what happens! Thanks for watching my friend!
