There’s one that’s actually coming out in the next few years. It’s called the Boom(company) Overture. United and JAL already has a few ordered. It won’t be as fast as Concorde but still very much supersonic at a fraction of the ticket price so definitely save your money up like I plan to lol

I still think this is a really fun aircraft for MSFS. There has been an update after making this video and I am sure more updates on the way. The fuel management system is very acciuratelyt modeled and it is a real challenge getting this aircraft from A to B.
There is always a place for a less than PMDG quality product especially among airliners. I stopped flying them back in FSX because with tons of graphics layered on, AI and flying into large citoes, I never could get a reasonable FPS despite the $$$. The other reason is if you are really into a specialty/rare aircraft and there is no competition, you either do without or learn to live with possible graphics and systems complexity.
This plane is a pain in the ass to fly and maintain but when you eventually figure things out it is highly rewarding. Yet some of the bugs seriously let it down though. The autopilot constantly chasing & missing flightpaths and waypoints enrages me the most right now tbh. Lol
I just brought the Concorde and i realised when selecting a Flight Plan on MSFS from London to New York it shows it would take 8hrs with Direct but High Altitude Airways it shows 5hrs, I'm not sure if this is a visual bug or something but can it actually go from London to New York within the time it does IRL??
Cockpit is a big let down for me especially compared to others...not really acceptable and up to standard what people expect of msfs and DC Designs. So for me it's a non purchase. Outside is well done but I spend more time in the cockpit than sat outside. I feel imo that just flight have let the old lady down a bit. Lovely review sir as usual 👍
@@jep1103 true. I'm just coming from the logic of if the official developer end up using the same cockpit improvement mod in the next version. It would end up looking the exact same way if you install it yourself. Besides, it's not like there's any other concorde addon available for sale that you can compare anyway. So it just feels illogical to decide not to buy and fully experience something that is 95% acceptable, while only 5% of the quality not up to your standard when there's really no other choice available anyway and no news if there are any other developer working on it. And like I said, cockpit texture is only a small part of the aircraft and anyone with decent photoshop skills can improve it (and people already have). While the majority of the value of the addon comes to the internal coding, instruments and simulation engine of the concorde. Part of which that not anyone can do.
It's not a Just Flight add-on so we've not let the old lady down. It's from DC Designs we've helped with the commercials and selling it. Your call entirely but on the cockpit personally and I think the view of many others is that it looks a lot better in-sim than on videos (Maybe YT compression etc?) . Dean at DC Designs has already done some improvements in the updates and more are promised so work continues. Not the strong point of the aircraft, the resource and time went elsewhere but honestly I don't think it's as bad as you've made out there and it would seem a shame to miss out on everything else this brings you for the sake of the CP not being up to scratch. does anyone else have the same problem. so I have been using the Concorde for 2 days and sometimes it wont let me move forward and to the right and I do play on Xbox by the way. Does anyone know how to fix this i need help i would like help from the actual devs and anyone else please this is a problem that could be fixed idk if its only for me but any tips would be good
@@Q8Pilot I'm not quite sure, could be overspeed, depends on what altitude I'm at too, was fine at 60k ft earlier. Is there a minimum height I need to be at to enable the afterburners without the alarm?
The exterior model is done quite well in my view. The interior needs some work, but is acceptable. Overall, worth its money and quite fun to fly and learn.
The exterior and passenger cabins look better than the cockpit itself XD . usually it's the other way around. maybe they just copy/pasted the cockpit from another sim

3 updates now and it's still not right, oh but dont complain else they'll block you on Just Flights Twitter account, no matter, I will not buy from them again, and I've spent over £1000 with them in my time I will buy from SimMaarket who I have never had a problem with, and if you think I'm wrong just check and see while you're flying in FSMS how many Concordes their are, hardly any, I've only seen one Tokyo Airlines! For your information and without giving away exact sales figures here, from Just Flight, this add-on has seen more than 5,000 sales, well over in fact. That's a fact, we know the sales numbers obviously. Then since it was added to the MP last Thursday I'd expect that number is close to being doubled now. Well done to DC Designs, this is a Concorde designed to be flyable by everyone and there are a massive number of users out there who are having so much fun with this. Yep three updates in and there's still things to improve and that will get done over time but it's flyable as is, it just needs some concentration and reference to manual, tutorials etc. If you don't fly it correctly you'll fail. Learn it, get used to it and you can master it as evidenced in so many YT videos and user reviews thus far. Thanks for the 'Just Flight stink' comment too, much appreciated.
So you got a free copy of the sim. Doesn't that make you automatically biased? The flight deck is graphically poor! Low Res and frankly it looked FS9! Looks like a cheap simulation! FS Labs remains the exemplar!

Criticism and praise come in equal and fair measure, we'll never put pressure on reviewers to give unnecessary praise, it's entirely down to them so no they are not automatically biased. Your last post about the Concorde to ITB sims you accused him of never being critical. Your words were unfounded and incorrect. He found lots of faults with the aircraft and lots to praise about it too, much like this review. In our opinion and many many other simmers out there the cockpit is ok, definitely not FS9 level, that is a silly comment to make. That said there is room for improvement and that will happen in due course but probably never to a level that you'll be happy with. Not every developer can be a PMDG or FS Labs, each sets their own stall and aims to develop for a specific market. This plane was never intended to compete with FS Labs or be a study level aircraft. The target market was different, most people have understood that by now and there are thousands of simmers out there who are having a great time with the Concorde. The design and outcome was pretty much exactly what DC Designs were after. Well done them. Go and seek out all the impartial reviews/comments, there are tons of them. You'll not be able to accuse them of being automatically biased. Thank you.

The prices are £27.99 / €34.95 / $39.99 and it's selling nicely and thousands of simmers are happily using the Concorde, which excels in many areas, it's very popular. The critical speeds in the FMC weren’t correct. The rotation speed of Concorde was normally around 190-200kts.

The MSFS planner is not taking into consideration super sonic speed. It will be a lot less than 8 hours.

There are cockpit improvement mods out there that's free to use that will override the default cockpit.

The 3D modeling is very bad. The exterior alone has jagged edges to the wings. If they update the model I’ll definitely buy it.
The exterior model is done quite well in my view. The interior needs some work, but is acceptable. Overall, worth its money and quite fun to fly and learn.
I do agree with EKM, but it's probably because it's so difficult to find decent resources and materials about Concorde to work with.

I can tell you that this aircraft, despite the textures, is great fun. It is really a challenging bird to learn and fly. I really enjoy it very much.
