    i agree with your notes at the end. We have stuff from igloo, RTIC, lifetime and now started to switch to Yeti. Huge difference since we camp a lot for 4 days or more. We can only buy ice once, nothing was holding it till we switched to Yeti. If we didn't camp we would be fine with anything else.

    Looking to get one of these to upgrade my lunch box, maybe not quite that big! I have a nice yeti thermos that keeps ice frozen all day in a hot truck in hot weather that I can use to cool my self down or my drinking water as needed. Heat stroke is a real threat in my line of work. Yeti is the only brand I trust!

    I think more people can afford a Yeti cooler over a Lamborghini. I think the average person only needs to work 2 full business days to afford a $300 yeti cooler.

  • @mitchellkasdin1899
    @mitchellkasdin1899 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    IMO - Overpriced, but it’s nice nonetheless 💸. If I were using the Yeti everyday, more than often than not, it would be a solid choice. RTIC has a similar cooler for 1/2 the price that leaves money to spend on a roto molded cooler.

      I had an Rtic soft cooler for 4 years. I maybe used it one to 5 times a year average. The stitching came apart from the inside. I feel had it had heavy use, it would have lasted barely a year. Won't do that again.

    I import all types of coolers from China and Vietnam and sell them to retailers such as Costco, Walmart, etc. I can tell you that this cooler likely cost under $25.00 to produce. I have to laugh at the retail pricing of Yeti. Everyone is making a pile of dough at the expense of the consumer caught up in slick marketing. Most people don't need a cooler that will need a chunk of ice and the rest water after 24 hours. Most coolers will do what is needed of them - keep beverages cold for an afternoon outing. And, they do it and less than 10% of the cost of a "Yeti"

    • @henrikandreason7261
      @henrikandreason7261 4 ปีที่แล้ว +8

      It's still not geared towards people who just sit in an afternoon outing. It's mostly kayaking camping outdoor freaks who need reliable gear that is waterproof and can take a beating, and that's what they are made for. It has an intended purpose where you DO need food still being cold after 24 hours or more. I speak from experience since during our last 3-day canoeing trip, we could have used something like this, not the cheap cooler we had that just managed to the next morning. It may have a heavy price but but do exactly what it's intended target audience wants it to do. But your're right in that if I (for example) wasen't so heavy invested in the outdoors that I am, I wouldn't look twice or even once at this bag for that price tag.

    • @paulcarlin5181
      @paulcarlin5181 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      They have brilliant marketing. They have convinced the average consumer to spend money for something they will probably not get the intended use of. Highly doubtful Yeti would have the sales they do if only the dedicated outdoor folks bought their products.
