'Avon: Top to Bottom' (BBC West, 2007) Ep.1.

Episode 1 of a series of five short films I shot & edited for BBC Points West, broadcast July 2007. Employing techniques I'd learned with BBC Natural History Unit, the underwater sequences were shot at stretches of the River Avon in Claverton & Bath across a year (2006). I used my cabled Toshiba minicams in rugged housings, rigged to an 8 metre carbon fibre pole that had a miniature tripod at its end (camera housing fixed to that). I'd sit on the bank for hours, viewing the feed live through a field monitor & recording to DVCAM...all days pre-GoPro! Topside material & sync was shot with Sony DigiBeta.
