Darwin reminds me of a Rottweiler puppy I had. This puppy never realised how big he was, he would break and destroy everything but never stopped running and just being angry and happy in equal measure. When he finally grew up he was the best dog I ever had.
While Diaz was on the field Partey kept coming in to midfield and created the extra man which hurt our midfield. When gakpo came on things changed. Gakpo was able to occupy Partey and our midfield starting dominating. Also I think in the second half we pushed up more and Arsenal seemed happy to defend the lead, which I think was a mistake from them and we should’ve won that game in the second half.
@@rogercorreia6292 Gakpo is a stronger physical presence. If you look at the forward passes Partey completed while Diaz vGakpo on, clear difference. Partey did about 5 v Gakpo, sign of a fb crapping himself. Good spot.
Excellent comment mate - Diaz was really poor apart from the assist and Arsenal knew it. Our whole left side was poor actually and that really hurt us in the first half. Gakpo can’t be left alone. He’s a bit more direct than Diaz and will shoot from anywhere.
I've always been high on Darwin. One of these seasons, he's going to break out with a Balon d'Or type of season, and i sure hope he's with Liverpool when that happens. Just look at what he did in the Copa America tournament. Scored in 6 consecutive games, which either tied or broke a Copa America record! He should not be underestimated.
Ryan was not able to assert himself against Arsenal because of the tactics of the day. We played long most of the time instead of playing out from the back.
The strength of Salah is his physical fitness. I think Konate developed after his injuries in this area. That why he is so strong now and has hardly any injuries.... and he is quicker and so brilliant. develop a player means to make him physically stronger and stronger... ask yourself how often Salah was injured? Konate is now the Salah of defence ,lol this is quality! Every player in the Premier league can play football otherwise they won't play in this league ! So who will become a superplayer? that is the one who can be fast , quick strong over 90 min....

Excellent analysis guys. With Nunez my belief is his first touch isn't good enough and needs working on and also he needs to position himself to stay on side and back himself to win the through ball. It's easy to score when ur offside as play has stopped but to do it in playtime is a different matter.
Story of his career, not spending gazillions but make people better and put them in the right position. 5 of them now play for the Dutch national team. Mats Wiefer for example, was a midfielder from a team that relegated, Slot saw something and turned him into a international for the Netherlands in one year, same for Arsenals Timber his brother at Feyenoord
I feel like Tsimikas has been quite good under slot. I know he isn’t first choice but he showed what can do against arsenal covering for Robertson when he was subbed out.
I just don't understand how we are saying the same thing for a striker that cost 84M for 2 1/2 years, " He will explide soon", "Slot will unlock him"That is frustrating journalism. We are talking about Nunez as if he's an academy player...OMG!!! Let's face the truth 4 once, hes not good enough for Liverpool.
Nunez is not good enough on current form as a striker. This is true. I cannot deny his work ethic but I agree with you as a number 9 I want goals. It could be the difference between winning and losing
I agree with you he was bought to score goals. He has scored a few goals but not a lot . There are better players I would trade him in for a more prolific goal scorer. Not been funny but not up to scratch for what Liverpool paid.
I don’t think he is the pure definition of number 9. But the way he drops to recover balls cannot be over looked. As we alr have players that can score banger(salah, diaz, gakpo, jones and on corners trent, vvd, konate)
I'm certain Gravenberch will be one of the most important players for Liverpool the coming years. And Salah is likely to go away to the 'dessert' as we say in Holland. But trust me: Liverpool is already looking for a new Salah. It sounds crazy but he can be replaced. If I was Trent, I would stay at Liverpool, perhaps with a better contract. But the only other options are in Spain. I really doubt if he can be a greater player there. Liverpool has his own culture and mental state of mind. A lot like Feyenoord. That's the reason why Slot turned down his first offer to go to England. Liverpool is his team. And Klopp was the one to make it like this. You aready see Slot's changes, but they are little now. Especially in defence ypu see Slot's influence. But trust me, even in this first year, you will see the midfield change too. Just like he did at Feyenoord. And remember: Slot is famous of making players even better!
on the flip side... what has happened to Jarrel Quansah? Some say he's just unlucky, but it can't just be luck or lack there of. This guy used to be good under Klopp
Yes I would take Ohsimen . We need another spark up front.Salah is brilliant give him more help up front and help nocking our goals up . Good call my friend

Good comparison
@@rogercorreia6292 Good comparison, but with the caveat I don't want Nunez to sh*t the carpet quite so much. And with a stronger 'STAY' command.
