This gallant gelding actually made it to one Breeders Cup Turf Sprint, but before Brad Cox started training him. He ran 3rd and looked much best At Keeneland that day after having major trouble. I’m so happy to see this medical marvel doing so well. His sire, Mizzen Mast, throws smart, hard knocking guys like Green Mask, and might possibly be the most underrated sire of all time. Love y’all, say hi to Victor Cooley for me.

Thank you for sharing Green Mask's story. It's very inspiring to know there are connections that will go to such extremes in the care for any animal, AND that Green Mask, an equine athlete used to training intensely on week in and week out would tolerate the lengthy recovery process!?! Wow! You sent me his book mark with your kind donation thank you letter and this video really makes that makes it come alive for me, having never yet been to the farm. I'll get there, hopefully this year. It's a bit of a hike, pandemic or not, from Southern California, but I'll get there! 🙂
