I got my first callback for a female lead today (in an 80’s based musical) and I don’t think it went well so this video was the perfect distraction while I wait for the cast list to come out, thanks!
i'm honestly wondering how the heck i ended up a theatre kid, my 'how good at acting are they' status escalated faster than a rocket- step 1. get a role with 3 lines step 2. remember someone else's and fill in for them when they were late step 3. next time you audition you get lead step 4. panic step 5. you are now going on tour congrats honestly help idk whats going on

I can’t wait to get into drama class this year at school 🤩🤩🤩 I’ve been practicing my singing for like 2 years (ever since I got into musical theater). Don’t know what kind of singer I am but I know I’m not an Alto cuz I sing smoother while singing higher notes (but not TOO high. Need more practice with that) even tho I do have a pretty deep voice for a girl. Kinda nervous ngl. My dream role is Lydia from Beetlejuice so I hope we do that musical but I doubt it. If y’all have any tips I’ll be very thankful if you could give me some 🙏
You could possibly be a mezzo soprano! It’s in between alto and soprano, and you don’t usually get the melody line, but it’s ESSENTIAL for harmonies :) Lydia is also a mezzo soprano! Good luck with your production!
