i can see exactly what’s going on. joey and carly like each other for sure, but both have problems. overall joey is chillin. he likes carly and sees the good in her, but can also see that she’s not enough for him to settle down - he’s a nice guy so he’s never rude, but he will never respect her, secretly. he has communication issues. carly, on the other hand, likes joey and wants to get back together with him, but she’s executing it with the same exact habits and ticks that got them broken up in the first place. shes always being petty in his face because she’s testing him. she is manipulative with co-dependency issues. they both need to let go of their pride…
but i also don’t blame carly for being a manipulative girl. she has an amazing personality and heart, she knows this and won’t settle. however, her insecurities are the only thing holding her back from her relationship goals. carly needs to learn how to be less selfish and communicate clearly instead of playing games. when she fixes that, she will be absolute gold.

they have an attraction for each other but it's never going to work. Joey is in his ' playing the field ', having fun with girls' faze. Carly wants a real relationship and potentially with him but her instinct knows he's not ready and is always flirting, which then means she gets jealous and annoyed and all. They are the definition of a passionate romance that dies out because one loves the excitement of what the other one brings and one loves the vulnerability they can project to the other.
I feel Carly clearly is still hurt & still likes him & trying her best to heal whereas Joey might also feel the same but he's covering up or something like something feels off...
Or he himself haven't processed it & realise that he actually likes likes Carly. Or well maybe he didn't treasure or love her at all.

He doesn't trust her because she's impulsive so he doesn't seem like he would hate the idea of them getting back together but he doesn't seem like he actually wants to commit and I kinda get it because she is clearly indecisive
