This story is WAY too relevant. Ever since middle school, I've been an avid Laser Tag enthusiast, and honestly, because of what I've learned throughout those years, I admit to being a competitive player that goes through some of the same things you mentioned in your story.
Laser tag is usually the best thing ever. So many good memories. I remember going to rinkside and going apeshit (i like to stay in one place and get cheap shots) just having a blast.
I ALWAYS get the bad luck when it comes to laser tag guns. Once I was playing laser tag at a friends birthday party, we were against like 2 other kids, one was like 5, the other was 9. The laser guns there had this thing called 'reloading' (i think??) so you couldn't hit someone rapid fire. I shot once, and the gun never reloaded. I lost to a 5 year old and my friends still make fun of me to this day.
I had a story of my own, one time I was at a lazer tag game at a amusement park at my brother's birthday. He was 16 at the time and I was 9. So he invited some of his friends around his age there were three of them excluding him so there were 5 of us in total and they wanted to play lazer tag. My mom told them they had to bring me along and they were hesitant cuz I was a kid that just would not pay attention back then so they did not think I would listen to the rules (they were right). The rules of lazer tag were simple, no running or jumping, no touching, no shining into people's eyes to blind them, etc. Me being the kid I was I broke all the rules(except shining in people eyes) and I payed the price. Everytime I jumped my foot would drag on the carpet floor and trip me so I would always jump and fall and land on my head, arms, knees, everything. I would not get hurt cuz that was my first time playing lazer tag and I had a BIG adrenaline boost. On top of that everytime when I fell it would be accompanied with a loud BANG that everyone could hear even outside the course. After we were done I came out and my mom was screaming... I had blood and scraps ALL over me and I mean everywhere. People were looking at me horrified at what I looked like and some of them even took their kid and left. My mom wiped me off, cleaned my cuts with cotton balls with alcohol in them (which hurt like a bitch) and we all sat down just wait to find something to do that I would not get hurt on and before my brother got yelled at I got off my adrenaline rush and was able to think straight so I told my mom what happened and saved my brother from getting in trouble. My wounds are all healed up and now when I play lazer tag I always listen to the rules. End of story. (Btw I am now 14 and my brother is now 21 and my brother likes to tell that story to his friends and they all laugh but so do I so it's all good and those impacts had did nothing to my head so I'm fine) sorry I just wanted to share my experience with lazer tag. thanks for listening. Yeah I think when I move to walker my sister friend had a birthday party at this place called it was either main event or big event but I wanted to try the laser tag there and the instructor told us that it. Had a reload system which heck why couldn’t it just have a cool down system but I have fun. And I really enjoyed your animation toastednoodles
IN 4:09 is soooooo hilarious I was literally rolling in laughter I thought I was going to die from so much laughter and I would repeat that seen over and over again before writing this comment I repeated it 124 times I am not kidding
I did laze tag one time (technically 2 times because for Christmas me and my brother got some laser tag stuff) but the first time I was in a laser tag arena was when I went to vacation with my family to Florida during covid-19 and my brother won
I felt bad I ruined a whole game of 4 people with me, my brother, and 2 kids we didn't know. I was so sad and I began to feel worse because of it. The guy came and I was too upset to tell him what happened, so no one got a refund.
i got scared once when playing laser tagbecause one of the rules was to not go into the water (it was Noah's ark themed so they had water in there) and i dipped my hand in there and they said it would shut off if you did and i was like AAAAAAAAHHHHHH because i got shot when i dipped my hand in so my censors stopped lighting up
