Am I the only one who doesn't get why people complain about this game's (and botw's a few years back) soundtrack online? I think the developers knew what they were doing when designing the game, the world and the way these games sound. People seem to forget that this is an active process that requires a ton of agency, in favor of having a main melody that would be constantly blasted into their ears for 100+ hours. These games have an objectively top notch sound design as well, on top of the music. The mix is phenomenal too. Not just the music's mix, but the entire game's. There is a reason there are no sound control settings. (side note: after playing them, I don't think I'd trust any other game to give me as few controls as these) Maybe I'm just simping for my favorite games, but I genuinely think all of the music suits the flow perfectly. The minimalist tracks evoke an introspective/lonely feel. In BotW Link has amnesia and is alone nearly at all times in that state of mind, trying to survive. In this game, the world has healed somewhat, civilization is more present. The music has extra instruments/sounds to reflect this. Have those who criticize never fought a Molduga / lynel / other bosses? Have they not been to any of the towns / shrines / divine beasts / korok forest / stables / castle? Ridden a horse? Or played any of the story moments? Not one of these are the "boring" minimalist overworld themes of BotW, yet the fact that no overarching 2 minute zelda melody exists somehow invalidates all the music above and puts the game in a ,,has no memorable music" tier. I love how every time a new Zelda game comes out, there's a new, never before seen backstory and a new interpretation of all the lore before. I think it's only frustrating if you ever took the "official" timeline for anything past face value. Skyward Sword set a sort of expectation storywise loooong after the fact that Nintendo realized they never really set an actual origin for the spirits or the vessels if you will of the Triforce, Link, Zelda & Ganon(dorf)/Demise in stone and they threw the timeline together to try and make some sense of everything after the fact. 10:52 I believe that Link and Zelda arriving at the exact moment of Ganondorf's revival is due to the curse of misfortune cast on Link and Zelda in Skyward Sword. The destinies of Link, Zelda, and Ganon/dorf are intertwined, they are forever fated to meet. (Except for all those times that the big bad wasn't Ganon/dorf of course.)
Oh boy, Chat 2. The journey begins, and it'll be a long one. The stream was such an blast, and beat the record for the longest one i think. The Fullsauce people eating good this month :D
43:03 That'll always be one of my favorite things about this Link is that he is an unrepentant eating machine. One of the funniest jokes in Hyrule Warriors is when Link is given a Rock Roast, a literal chunk of molten rock on a stick, and he just eats it with barely a second thought.
And also that one scene where, while Urbosa is having a touching heart-to-heart with Zelda to boost her self esteem, Link is eating Rock-Hard Food, just a literal plate of rocks with a bit of garnish on them, whilst being cheered on by Daruk and some Hylian soldiers Brother really lives up to the "wild" part of his "Hero of the Wild" title
I remember way back in the day when Vinny streamed BotW; I actually sent him some spare Toon Link/Toon Zelda Amiibo I had too! That said, it's like full circle seeing him stream the sequel after all this time. Also it's totally normal to play this for 8 hours straight when you first play it, because I did too.
for some reason I only played for an hour or two the first time. I didn't really get into it until I got past the starting area and then yeah 8 hour sessions a plenty.
do you think Vinny would enjoy FNV? (extremely random question, i know, it's because of the PFP) but given the resurgence it had and how unbearable the community can be, chat would also become unbearable
Im not gonna lie idk how people play most open world games that long. I barely last a file that long before getting bored. Zelda luckily does enough right to finish. But man...this open sandbox style is driving me bonkers
My favorite part is 5:11:38 when Vinny builds a boat with 2 wheels that can't drive. Then, he watches the korok float away down the river and plans a daring rescue by building a platform that spins in place.
Man, 8 hour stream. I have also gotten utterly addicted to this game. Hope you had a great birthday Vin. Hope your PC and ISP can handle those huge ass files Johnny.
Really enjoying your LP. I have to stop occasionally when you get to areas I haven’t been to yet in my playthrough, but this creates a fun loop of me “discovering” new points of interest through your gameplay, then finding them on my own. As a nearly-forty-year-old dude, gotta say it’s refreshing to find another nearly-forty dude who can stream a game without feeling the need to interject with inane babble every 5s. Gonna go back and watch your BOTW playthrough while I make progress on TOTK. ❤
I’m so glad Vinny’s enjoying this well enough to not only break his all-time streaming record but to do it by an ENTIRE HOUR (and 57 seconds). This game is already incredibly crazy and I’m thoroughly enjoying both my own playthrough and Vin’s so far as well. Can’t wait to see the equivalent of the Cookbook quest in this one
I was worried it wouldn't catch me. Since it's built upon the foundation of the previous title, I thought it would lack the wow effect for not being something completely new. It also felt a bit like that in the beginning, but after playing for a few hours it grabbed me just like BotW did.
HOLY SHIT 8 HOURS?! Vinny's gonna have a brainlapse over Zelda. I think it's safe to say that this is Vinny's longest stream ever in his 10 years of streaming.
11:35 - Honestly, for Zelda it's fine that Link doesn't speak, because the other characters are usually so good that they bolster everything around him. The best silent protagonists are the ones that live in worlds where everyone else is larger than life.
Vinny, instantly on seeing a secret stone: “Is that a tear? Of the kingdom?” Me out loud, having never realised in at least 30 hours of playtime: “Oh my fucking god.”
Recommend watching his BOTW playthrough, or at least the 8-hour highlight reel you can search, there's some pretty good moments, especially during the Gerudo Village.
@@SpaceSkeletonDragon Trust me, i have 70 hours in botw, after a certain point that's all you do. Collect seeds, collect rocks, go to a new location, do puzzle number 73 and repeat. For example a game like Elden Ring is very similar, but way more entertaining to watch because of the boss fights, or RDR2 is entertaining to watch because it's interesting to see someone else's reaction to the story and random events.
@@Ligmaballin The fun of watching others playing BOTW is seeing where they go and what they find, how they tackle obstacles, and seeing the chain of events unfold (my favourites being unintentional deaths). No two, four, twelve, etc. Let's Plays ever play out the same.

Happy Birthday Vinny!🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Seems like you’re really enjoying the game.
No, he spent 8 hours streaming a game he hates.
@@SpaceSkeletonDragon he did stream all of dkc3 kappa
43:03 That'll always be one of my favorite things about this Link is that he is an unrepentant eating machine.
One of the funniest jokes in Hyrule Warriors is when Link is given a Rock Roast, a literal chunk of molten rock on a stick, and he just eats it with barely a second thought.
And also that one scene where, while Urbosa is having a touching heart-to-heart with Zelda to boost her self esteem, Link is eating Rock-Hard Food, just a literal plate of rocks with a bit of garnish on them, whilst being cheered on by Daruk and some Hylian soldiers
Brother really lives up to the "wild" part of his "Hero of the Wild" title
@@WhimsicottFanatic I played botw several times, how did I miss that, holy shit
Wow I didn't even consider fusing a minecart to a shield and it looks amazing. Game is unbelievable.
Theres some absolutely hilarious moments in this stream. 1:40:40
😂
Thank youuuu for uploading at 30 fps and saving me data, people usually just post 30 fps games as 60 fps videos
"all in one piece" he says. captain hoz, link is missing an arm.
RIP, the stone talus cave had the barbarian armor behind the ONE ore deposit Vinny missed
Vinny putting the railcar-hook on the wrong track and his reaction to falling off is one of the funniest things I've seen in a while.
@@DenkyManner BoTW was 6 years ago. Kids who played it in Middle School will have graduated from High School by now.
do you think Vinny would enjoy FNV? (extremely random question, i know, it's because of the PFP) but given the resurgence it had and how unbearable the community can be, chat would also become unbearable
@@TheMultiTasker3 I was 22 when it came out alongside the Switch, now I'm 29 and a lot has changed; 6 years definitely is a lot of time!
Im not gonna lie idk how people play most open world games that long. I barely last a file that long before getting bored. Zelda luckily does enough right to finish. But man...this open sandbox style is driving me bonkers
Vinny mate, I know you were excited but you didn't have to pull an entire shift
6:05:49 Vinnys whole NPC "aah - ooh" - moment had me dying from laughter lol
The chatmember message killed me "Vinny, keep buying i'm close"
My favorite part is 5:11:38 when Vinny builds a boat with 2 wheels that can't drive. Then, he watches the korok float away down the river and plans a daring rescue by building a platform that spins in place.
5:03:50 and 5:15:50 for some of the best vinny noises lol
edit: add 6:59:50 to that
Vinny has been given access to superglue. I wonder what madness he will create...
He's gonna put it in places where it shouldn't be, if you know what I mean. 😳
I already saw a clip of someone making flaming peepees
5:46:56 Vinnys reaction to purah was hilarious...
And thus, Bincent begins "The Legend of Link: A Zelda to the Past"
Man, 8 hour stream. I have also gotten utterly addicted to this game.
Hope you had a great birthday Vin. Hope your PC and ISP can handle those huge ass files Johnny.
This is going to be a legendary playthrough folks. Strap yourselves in.
It feels unreal being here, I always thought about how one day I'd be watching Vinny stream the next game and it's finally happening.
Chat: go to the quest marker
Vin: okay I'll do that now
Vin: *goes the exact opposite direction, gets killed 3 times, attempts a korok and gives up
thanks for the long stream vinny. i listened to you during my 12 hour shift :) it helps a lot with my nerves.
HOLY SHIT 8 HOURS?! Vinny's gonna have a brainlapse over Zelda. I think it's safe to say that this is Vinny's longest stream ever in his 10 years of streaming.
Elden Ring has several streams longer than this
@@Luiszerep Those streams were pre recorded and combined together soooo...

I fell asleep watching this and it was on when I woke up… thanks Vinny, it was a fantastic wake up call
5:13:06 - SADISTIC STREAMER puts small Korok in path of RAGING LIZALFOS!
Of the kingdom?”
Me out loud, having never realised in at least 30 hours of playtime: “Oh my fucking god.”
All the people "-2"ing him had no idea he kind of was right all along.
It's good to back in this version of Hyrule again with Vinny. Hope he enjoys it as much as I've been doing.
3:45:50 "Back in my day, swords used to be sharp and not have robots in them" waves his cane around

Recommend watching his BOTW playthrough, or at least the 8-hour highlight reel you can search, there's some pretty good moments, especially during the Gerudo Village.
Honestly they're kinda boring to watch, it's just running around 24/7 collecting rocks
@@Ligmaballin You are most welcome to your Godawful opinion.
@@Ligmaballin
The fun of watching others playing BOTW is seeing where they go and what they find, how they tackle obstacles, and seeing the chain of events unfold (my favourites being unintentional deaths). No two, four, twelve, etc. Let's Plays ever play out the same.
That's why I'm watching this Let's Play cautiously after he made it down to Hyrule, since the path I took is vastly different from his already. Mainly skip shrines I haven't done, or secrets I've yet to uncover. Fights I'm fine with.
Now with the implementation of Zonai devices, you can see other Let's Plays either skipping them, using them as intended, or coming up with their own contraption.
Vinn’s reaction to Phantom Ganon just showing up was priceless!
I’ve been watching Vinny play rdr2 in the meantime before this came out and it’s good to see in 4 years nothing has changed with his handling of horses
Happy late birthday Vinny!
Thank you for the sleep length vod.
I had a tears of the kingdom dream. Link had jermas sus smile and it was contagious. Link could supress the sus smile but once someone had the sus smile, it spread like a pandemic. There was an EAS broadcast about it in the game.
That's some Joker Venom level shit right there, dear lord
What's funny is there is a enemy that sounds like jerma

5:47:08 How did the, like, 1 feet gremlin girl, suddenly became a character so hot, even Vinny is acting unwise?
She almost hit my exclusive simping for Mona from Shovel Knight, I gotta watch out
Did... Did you not play Botw? She was trying an experiment to keep herself eternally young and it de-aged her. Guess she got it right this time and was able to age up. Though if she chose to age normally she'd be as old as her assistant or even Impa
@@DirectorOfChaos9292 I know that. I'm just talking design-wise, I was expecting her Age of Calamity design, not Milf Purah
@@ErickGameplaysN64 Pretty sure that IS the design they used here, this is hardly "milf" material they went for.

46:48 - The Legend of Zelda: Talk to the Hand
It's so lovely to see the 8 hour streams back again. Vinny's BOTW stream vods were a comfort to watch while I struggled with my Bachelor's degree finals back in 2017, and it feels nice to see this now.
Just a heads up, there's some kid replying with spoilers to every comment here. If you care about that don't click on the replies.
I love that I and Vinny had the same reaction to the master sword suddenly being able to affix itself to Link’s back, only to discover seconds later there’s a strap now
Any time Vinny streams during EU friendly hours the chat is extra spicy.
8 hours stream and it's not Desert bus?!
This is gonna be good
The minecart shield surfing killed me lmao
Holy shit vinny thank you. Been trying to figure out what the hell that weird vhs i had when i was younger was and randomly you mention "pirates of dark water" and holy shit it sounded right and after a google search... that was it! Thank you

"Run out of trees and softlock the game" - Your tree-ladder solution isn't the same as the solution I came up with. I've seen somebody else do something different from either of us as well. There were a lot of options to get up there despite all the ice making it hard to climb. You can't softlock it that way.
Now that I’m a good chuck into the game I can finally watch Vinny’s play through hell yeahhhhh
3:00 - Yes. You do feel he is unstoppable. That is the reason this intro does what it does.
