Easy to sing when you’re winning. To give credit where it’s due the home support over the season has been decent despite what they’ve been served on the pitch. Could it be be better, yes, but then so could the performances. It’s been a tough season for Saints fans.

Final comment - Ground Hog Day. Seen this performance so many times. Cautious line up, bright start with some half chances, then no urgency, no plan, opponents score with first shot on target, and followed by no fight back or effort, aimless keep ball at the back until the final whistle.
Seen this so many times this season, poor performance yet again.
Unlucky lads, hope u lot can turn things around. Could’ve easily been us in your situation if we stuck with Vieira 😬

Gr eat VBlog. Best i have seen. As a Palace fan. Lavia marked Eze out of the game and got an early booking 2nd half. The game changed at that moment i thought, as Eze strength and build is turning on the ball and then dribbling quickly. Booked players can't deal with it as another card would be coming. Eze then gets freedom, which frees up Olise, and dare I say Ayew, who has been good without Zaha. Think Alcarez looks, class. You have a great young team. I remember in 1995 (going down 4th from bottom with a crap manager in Alan Smith, we had a great young side next season. Dougie Freedman came, Roberts, Quinn was 18, , even with Martyn sticking around, with Southgate, and Armstrong going, with got in David Hopkin etc, bought youth on top of our youth coming through, and lost the play off to Leicester in 1996 in the 120th, and of Course Hopin looking to curl one the following season in the 90th.
I can only see good things from the Saints next season!!

@@MatchDayVlogs After last night 1-5 against Palace and 1-6 against Liverpool who can't score away from home, I really do think Leeds are in serious trouble. I hope we beat Everton to give your boys a chance. Leeds and Leicester so out of form, loosing to the teams around them, Everton's toughest run-in with Forest. I still think you have a chance of doing it if you can get those 9 points from Bournemouth, Forest and Fulham, and maybe a couple of draws, even with Mitrovic back (with games against Southampton and Palace which i think is unfair, should have been banned for the season). I know the hope is fading, but looking outside in, you still have a good chance. I think Leeds, and Forest are gone.
I'm afraid we are done. It was a interesting spell in the premiership, started off extremely well and just got worse. I just hope we can wipe the sheet clean and start again

Palace fan here, first half you looked good. I don’t follow saints closely but I suppose inconsistency is why all teams in bottom 8 are down here. I knew we would be different 2nd half as we seem to start slow and then step it up. Good luck for the rest of the season

Just not good enough again. Not enough leaders on the pitch and too dejected every time the ball ends up in the Saints net so we never look like turning it around
It’s getting to a stage where you’d at least think the players would want to put themselves in the shop window. They all look lost out there..
@MatchDayVlogs Exactly. Personally I've thought for a couple of years now that we need a complete reset but I just can't believe the lack of passion and fight this team has. Half of them seem resigned to the Championship, and the other half do all the running but make bad decisions when the ball ends up at their feet. It's a mess.

Such a miss-matched collection of players with too little playing time, little experience and no fight. To watch Brighton and Bournemouth is to dream about what could be when a team plays together for each other.

I know it’s still mathematically possible but we don’t score goals so we have to accept we’re done. We’ve rightfully given Selles a chance but it’s not working out. I just hope we’re looking to get someone like Potter in as soon as the season is over so we can get out of the championship first time of asking.
Yeah, if we get the managerial appointment right with a decent amount of youth talent we’ll stand a good chance of bouncing. The championship is a concern, it’s certainly not going to be easy, just look at Norwich and Watford.

The first half I felt the team were positive and fighting - just lacking end product. The second half that all disappeared, no urgency, no creativity and out of ideas. The Saints fans went understandably quiet whilst Palace fans were having one hell of a party.
But it’s not over until it’s over. Charley hit the post, Haribo made an impact, Kamaldeen is getting better all the time and our corners were… interesting. Everton, Leicester and Forest aren’t out of the woods - 3 teams all relegatable (is that a word?). There’s still a chance and I’m hunting ebay for some annoying drums. COYRs!

Very rarely do I ever hear about our fans fighting opposition fans - but for some bizarre reason there's frequent in-fighting. Not sure if it's the same groups fighting each other on these away days, but it's pretty embarrassing.
Thought the fighting fans were all away fans fighting each other?? I might be wrong but from where I was sat in the Northam it looked to be Palace v Palace fans
@@RedAndWhiteSFC Palace vs. Palace is what I mean when I say 'in-fighting'. There's trouble quite often with our away day fan base - they seem to enjoy getting coked up and laying into each other.
Just a couple of idiots I’m sure, but yeah pretty bizarre. Also happened with Villa last season at St Mary’s … bizarre.
It was a fan who doesn’t like the Palace fanatics who decided to have it out with em and got bashed up. Silly behaviour from both parties but stupid to try and one man a group 😂

I have to say i do believe out of the bottom 3 teams that Southampton are best equipped to return at the first attempt . Leicester's main guys will all be off and Forest will also have to sell half of their 100 man squad Southampton on the other hand have a decent youthful team who in reality are not on the inflated wages of other clubs .

I’m a palace fan and I’m not sure what everyone sees in him. Yeah dead ball the guys unbelievable. But I’ve not seen him run a game and boss a midfield. Still you’ll get good money for him. I just hope you guys sort it out off the pitch. Sell the deadwood and go again with some of your youngsters who have real potential. Seems like you need leaders and pros in your team.
