Tried to do business with SPE. They were terrible. Went with Pusher and glad I did.
Sorry to hear that I have not had any issues they are awesome!!
SPE has never been a problem we own 2 6.7 they always fill orders fast
Pusher intakes seems cheap in comparison to SPE
If they made good products you shouldnt have too make that many orders
Nice truck and clean work you did! I have a 2019 6.7 and love it I use all SPE products good quality and long wait time but worth it.
Thanks brotha much appreciated! And yeah I’m the same way I try and get everything SPE I don’t mind the wait!
Sick kit. Do you have ez lynk ? Did you have to change your current tune to accommodate for the new piping and throttle plate not being there ?
Yes I love it! And no I I didn’t have to change anything
@@PowerstrokeRick wicked man thanks for the info I’m deleting my 19 right away gonna get all the same stuff basically
Where does the sensor noted at 11:38 go after everything is installed? My rig is deleted so is it part of the emissions that are turned off
Yes not re used
Thanks brother . Keep the vids coming
Does this kit eliminate the throttle body ?
Yeah , it looks like it. I dont see how you can install this without a tune
Yes it does!
Do you need the coolant reroute kit to be able to install this or can i get the reroute stuff later?
You can install without the coolant reroute kit
Hey, Rick what are the torque specs on manifold Y pipe bolts ? TIA
Calls for 89in LBS but I just go really snug by hand with blue thread locker
@@PowerstrokeRick thank you again
Now that it’s been a while any notable gains.?lower Egts? Mpg? Better response in throttle and boost off the line
For some reason in my 2017 I get really good fuel Mileage but not in the 2015 blue truck. Maybe because of the lift and wheels. But I have noticed it sounds a bit louder, lower EGTs and a bit better response
@@PowerstrokeRick awesome man just fixing up my 17…it’s not bad on mileage either but always looking for more…not looking at hot rodding my tow rig but if theirs gains it might be worth it…
@@oddlyrightoddlyright2475 yeah I hear ya and I definitely suggest getting it, I gotta buy one for my 17 next!
I'd really like to know if this will help in any way with fuel mileage?
It might help a little bit, I saw mine go up a little but nothing crazy, everything is just breathing really good now, getting good boost
I did SPE piping kit I didn’t notice a increase in fuel mileage around town, I did notice better throttle response. BUT I noticed a big difference in towing and getting 1.5 mpg better towing heavy at highway speeds under a load.
What did you do with the throttle body plug? And if you left it unplugged did it throw a check engine light?
Just tied it off since it wasn’t being used anymore. No CEL thrown either
Thank you for replying back, I was looking at that system for my 2011 and seeing that missing is what stopped me from pulling the trigger on getting it.
@@jethroco99 yup no problem and you should be all good assuming you have a tune already?!
I have a mild 80 horse tune
@@jethroco99 okay yeah you will be good!
Have you done the disaster prevention on your fuel system yet ? that I hear is a must
No not yet
I have done it and well worth the money nice kit and doesn’t hurt the fuel pressure
I’m opting for the S&S DCR pump conversion instead! It’s $2k, but cheaper than the alternative. And cheap piece of mind!
What did you doo with the sensor on the lower intake? That you blocked off with the ccv reroute.
Just tied it off it’s not needed
@@PowerstrokeRick does it not throw a code if not connected ?
@@justinpage2908 nope no codes. Just tie the connector off!
What egr kit do you have and what is your fuel mileage at the moment?
Just regular kit and maybe 12-14
Where did you pick up the upper radiator pipe?
It’s a MPD pipe they sell it on there site, and then I have a SPE one on my 17
Do you have to do a egr delete for this kit?
No
Great video. Thank you.
Glad you liked it! Thanks for watching!
What brand is your topside creeper?
Traxion 3-700
Any of y’all get a code for too much air after installing this ?
No codes over here you shouldn't get them
I got a code P00BD. Did you ever figure out how to get rid of it ?
Thanks for the video buddy. Where did you get radiator hose from? Trucks bad ass bud
Thanks man appreciate it! The upper rad hose is from MPD
Just installed this on my 15 6.7 and I’m having problems with the boots blowing off when I get on it hard… anyone had these problems?
You make sure the clamps are tight? What did you use to slide the boots on with and lubricant?
@@PowerstrokeRick no lubricant they went on without soap and water and yeah they were plenty tight… fitted them back on and made sure to get the lip past the clamp and will try again in the morning
@@shawnparis3570 ok let me know what happens I’m the morning, which ones are slipping off the cold side or the hot side?
@@PowerstrokeRick cold side first time was the 90 on the Intercooler and the second time it was the boot on the y pipe
@@PowerstrokeRick seems to be fine now the boot on the y pipe is just barely long enough to get a good bite on both sides but with some force and an extra hand it’s holding on tight now
What upper rad pipe is that? Like it?
It’s the mpd upper rad pipe and yes I love it! It’s a little pricey around 400 without powder coat
How is it able to accelerate if it has no throttle body anymore?
That's what I want to know too.
Are you serious?
What topside creeper are you using?
It’s the traxion 3-700
@@PowerstrokeRick Thank you I just ordered one. Badass truck too. I’m going KC stage 2 with a stroker pump now for my 6.7
@@RWB930 thanks man appreciate it!! And yes the creeper is nice I wish the quality was a bit better but it works great!!
@@RWB930 them kc turbos are sick!!!
@@PowerstrokeRick I’ll post a video when she’s all done.
Is the intake louder now?
Definitely sounds better when getting on it and breathing better to! It’s not a crazy difference on sound
Will this kit work with stock emissions equipment? Looks sick!
No, it removes throttle blade assembly and bypasses egr. Truck requires a tune and full delete.
@@landonfox5168 cool I'm already deleted will it improve towing mpgs?
@@toddpharmer2460 you will probably notice a slight increase in mpgs on daily driving. It's so hard to tell on towing. Depends on tune, driving habits, etc. Mine with 15 tons behind it gets 3.7
@@landonfox5168 Holy crap! Thanks for the relpy
@@toddpharmer2460 not pulling anything they are ok ,but they are not built to be fuel efficient.
What kind of EGR delete kit do you have?
If you watch the video, around the 5:50- 6 minute mark, you'll see the delete kit says "zeigler diesel". Look that up and go from there. I got mine from banks.
What the advantage to this set up.
Performance gains the list goes on
That setup won’t work with the stock air box ….?
@@JimmyJammer1 yes it can

Spe said 3-5 weeks in stock
Took them over 8 weeks to get it to me
Terrible customer service
I will second that motion. Buyer beware, they are some of the most disrespectful business owners I have ever had to deal with. Amy and Chance are down right nasty in email communication. No accountability or respect what so ever. Parts are awesome, people are awful. They need some new front office customer service, Dan is the dude and dreams up the best parts in the business. Painful painful purchasing experience!!!
Ordered mine in March. Just came in end of July. Chance is a smart ass. Great parts but horrible sales people
i just ordered the ccv reroute, it came in like 8 days, 0 issues with customer service.
Unfortunately this has been my experience as well. I've ordered and received items from SPE twice before and just placed a third order. I have never received an order from them even remotely close to the estimated ship date, and all the posted shipping/short staff notices have been woefully optimistic to say the least. My first order arrived nearly a full month after the longest supplied shipping estimate (this took into account the COVID delays and material shortage notices posted on the website). The second order was nearly three weeks later than expected. Both times the customer service and support have been dreadful. Rude, short, uninterested, and assuming would be the adjectives I'd use to describe the experience. All this being said, as I previously stated, I just placed a third order. This is because I firmly believe SPE offers some of if not the best aftermarket products for these trucks. The designs just make sense, and the quality is second to none. This makes the subpar ordering experience worth it to me. If Dan at SPE could get the customer service issues rectified and the shipping issues straightened out, I personally believe SPE would be a force to be reckoned with in the Aftermarket Industry. Until then it will most likely be relegated to people like myself who want nothing but the best, and are willing to put up with the abuse to get it.
I have had nothing but bad luck with SPE. Chance is a straight up dick.
Their mentality is once the sale is done, they got their money and it’s not their problem anymore. My biggest problem was their disaster prevention kit. Once I installed it, whenever I would make a wot pull, I would get “reduced engine power “ notifications on my dash. The fuel pressure became inadequate for the fuel demand. I ended up calling, talked (unfortunately)to chance about it and was told “nobody’s ever had that problem” upon looking online, there is a huge number of guys that have experienced the same thing. I pulled the kit off and returned that back to stock and my problem immediately went away.
I called again for a return/refund and was told I was out of their return period….. Even though I waited 6 months to get the part, 30 days from purchase is all they give….. essentially, I had no option to return from the get go!
So I will definitely tell anyone looking at SPE buyer beware! I will continue to deal with no limit fabrication where they carry good parts and they stand behind them.
If I was susceptible to motion sickness, your camera work would do the trick.
Upgrade the intercooler
Selling my spe intake piping brand new never installed if anyone interested
Im interested if you haven’t sold it yet
I've never seen videos that are so long that literally show nothing but the parts and then the end You never show the metal what you do how you do it all the bolts this and the other I mean show the whole process show the parts show the stuff taken off what's the hard part to taking it off where the bolts are it's like you just have videos that show your the parts on the ground or your unraveling them The parts on the truck and then when they're off you just show them laying on the ground and then And then you show the parts when they're already on the truck just show the process man
SPE has detailed instructions on there website if you don’t like it don’t watch it bud
@@PowerstrokeRick no you have good videos man but you got to you got to show the process I get there's instructions and all that stuff but you know some people like to watch videos and when you make a video do the process of the whole video Don't just put like parts on the ground on doing stuff and then you're like this is what it looks like before and then you're like you do like two bolts and then all of a sudden everything's off this is what it looks like and then you you know start talking about the stuff that needs to go on there and then the process is done oh this is what it looks like at the end it's like it's not an install video you know I mean I'm not trying to be a dick but if you're going to do an install video do the full install get you get yourself a tripod that you can put on your thing and then just start installing the video dude that's that's all
@@PowerstrokeRick I'm just trying to learn the process of putting this stuff on because this is the first diesel I've had and when I watch videos like you and pop Corey and stuff like that and Dan from SPE you know top Cory does a lot of you know good installs but you know I like your videos too but you just got to I'm just trying to give you constructive criticism You have great videos You just see the show more the process that's all
Nice job..are you still selling cold side pipe? I’ll take it if so..thanks for video🤙🏼
