I resonate so deeply with this. Yes, study the Scriptures, study the Fathers, but at some point you need to proclaim your first-hand knowledge of the life of Christ within you. How often have I self-censored the best strokes of your personal revelation of the beauty of the love of God into a picture that cannot be contained within the framework of the religious gatekeepers looking over my shoulder. Lord, I offer to you my best thoughts of you as playful participation in your Light, Life, Mind, and Spirit. If my theological worship graces no hallowed walls other than your fridge, to be appreciated by you and those gathered at your kitchen table, that is more than enough.
