Lots of my ancestors would argue with the wine ideology. They were devout and some lived into three digits. They also ate lard, butter and tallow. None of them were overweight. Some of these "suggestions" turn into cults. Ridiculous.
The obesity crisis tracks exactly with the introduction of seed oils, ultra-processing food, and adding preservatives into the food supply.(Which also tracks with urban sprawl consuming the most fertile and productive crop land.

The Surgeon General (Vivek Murthy) should be more concerned about the effects of electromagnetic frequency wave radiation and electrification depleting moisture out of the atmosphere, as in the case of Murthy’s father’s sugar plantation affecting the sugarcane crops and causing farmers to protest from lack of rain caused by electrification. I will remind Murthy that he should keep his nose out of Church affairs and concentrate on State affairs, as per the separation of Church and State.
What next? When we receive the Holy Eucharist, it embodies both body and blood. Wine is not bad or a sin regardless of what some Protestants say. Stay Catholic and enjoy your occasional glass of wine.🍷

I think I've only taken the blood on three occasions in my 42 years of life, personally I believe it should only be the Priest who takes it, not Eucharistic Ministers and not the Parishioners.
Jesus instructed his apostles to "Do this in memory of me." In the first Eucharist, all consumed the bread and wine. @@stevencalkum9128 As far as I'm aware we in Western Christianity use levened bread whereas the Eastern branch i.e. Orthodox Christianity use unlevened bread, so IF someone is gluten intolerant for example, the blood should then be taken by other people besides the Priest imo, but only in that circumstance for health reasons (again imo)

At the marriage feast of Cana Jesus turned water into wine, the "best" wine. It would have been interesting to have tasted it. This is one of many Biblical examples where wine is esteemed, and where discernment of relative quality is expressed. As far as sacramental wine is concerned, I doubt that many Catholics have ever tasted it. I cannot remember ever seeing an instance of lay people receiving the sacrament in the form of wine, which in any case would be less than a teaspoonful. The article is nonsense, and nothing more than yet another opportunity to attack religion.
"The Tepid Priest is not far from Perdition". St Alphonsus Ligouri. Revelation 3:16
That article about sacramental wine reminds me of the kind of person who wears a safety helmet at all times just in case!

Exactly! I too consume ONLY meat fats...NOT seed or veggie oils, which aren't good for us. And, I'm not overweight.

By my count, Cardinal Müller referred to the new and eternal COVENANT three times.
Wisdom, be attentive!
Why are so few Faithful Cardinals and Bishops Silent about the daily error we see in Our Lord's Church?
They are either complicit or frightened.
They are not our "elder brother". " Who is a liar, but he who denieth that Jesus is the Christ? This is Antichrist, who denieth the Father and the Son. " 1 John 2:22
If true, wouldn't the cancer rates be off the charts in countries like Spain, Italy, Spain, etc.?
Why mention Spain twice before going to "etc."?
