The Elephants' mythical fear of rodents such as mice is also somewhat based upon fact as the Mythbusters discovered that the Elephants not only noticed the mice but were shown to be cautious of them and actively avoided stepping on them! However, they didn't panic & flee like they often do in cartoons! Also, Hippopotamus definitely proves that even herbivores can be even more dangerous than predators, which makes the idea that Jurassic Park could have avoided problems by only bringing back herbivores (many herbivores like Triceratops & Stegosaurus have adaptations that could make predators think twice about killing them unless they were injured, young, or old)!

Without looking at it I wouldn't know for sure but I'm guessing it's more domestic dog than coyote. "Experts" trying to control the deer population tried and failed at creating a habitat for reintroducing wild wolves so they fell back on genius move number two. They crossbred coyote with domestic dog "to improve the chance of survival" and then let them loose. Purebred coyotes are scavengers with zero fear of humans while wolves know humans equal death so livestock are the only casualties that affect people. As the decades have passed these crossbreds have gathered unfixed pet dogs to their ranks (some as large as mastiffs have been seen in these "packs" and I'm told that because they've become such a problem there's permits that can be bought to shoot any that are recurring visitors on your land.) One of the most frustrating things about this botched project is the deer population isn't affected at all! Science isn't my strong suit but compared to these "experts" I'm a rocket scientist😒

If you ask me, the Orca is the Lion of the Ocean.
The Great White is the Leopard.
Both are highly effective predators in their own right.
One is much smaller, hunts alone, and flees the other by climbing up a tree/diving deep down into the ocean.
The other is much larger, hunts the largest of prey in packs, and is known for its vocalisations.

    • @leorogstad6930
      @leorogstad6930 ปีที่แล้ว

Have to agree with you about Orcas because in real life Orcas actually hunt Great Whites together....targeting them and have been killing them to the point that where Whites used to frequent....they don't really hang out anymore because they're so afraid and on top of that a movie has been in the works for awhile and is now in pre production called "ALPHAS"....Synopsis....After the government shuts all attempts to cull a Great White feeding ground off of their coast, the only option left is to introduce their natural enemy into those same waters, led by a damaged and unpredictable Killer Whale.

I am not a big fan of orcas because they not only attack great white sharks but other sharks as well, they have been known to attack their relatives the dolphins, they go after whales, and they will also attack land animals too, so that is why I am not a fan. So far as anybody knows they have not attacked people though.

Bald Eagles are pretty damn cool but they don’t have talons as big as a human fist. The talons in that picture belong to the Harpy Eagle. They are terrifying and incredible and they eat just about anything, including monkeys and sloths.
Edit: I just realized it could also be the talons of a Golden Eagle. They are massive as well and use those crazy feet to throw goats off cliffs. (It’s absolute chaos.)

The only reason he got into a fight with the lions was one night he accidentally got into their enclosure and they attacked him, resulting in him being injured enough to spend a few days at the vet’s. So once he was returned he broke into their enclosure again that night on purpose to get revenge, which he did.

It might seem counter-intuitive, but sharks mostly just want to swim away from humans. And Bottlenose Dolphins are very territorial and are more likely to attack a human than a shark is. And sharks fear them.

When hiking where there are wild donkeys it's extremely prudent to keep a close watch on any you might see. They can be quite territorial.
Geese use to be kept as watch animals. A Canada goose's wing is strong enough to break a grown man's arm.

That’s because they are not and it’s over exaggerated. They are wary of dolphin pods, as sharks are solitary creatures and dolphins live and hunt in larger groups, and sharks won’t engage a group of dolphins because it wouldn’t stand a chance as the whole pod would turn on them immediately. Now, what dolphins miss in raw strength relative to sharks, they make up in speed and agility. Bottlenose dolphins are faster than most sharks, especially the larger ones such as GW, tiger and bull, with the exception of Makos, and their body shape and vertical tail make them very agile, they can change their swimming direction pretty fast unlike sharks, and they will keep ramming their snouts into shark’s body potentially causing serious injuries and death; shark wouldn’t even try fighting them, it would swim away. However, sharks are not afraid of individual dolphins and often attack them when they are separated from their pods, especially during crater feeding when their snouts are stuck in the sand and they aren’t aware of their surroundings. When an isolated dolphin gets attacked by a shark, provided they survived the initial attack, they will just try their best to get away, they know they aren’t a match for the sharks without the protection of their pod.

Dolphins know enough to ram sharks gills. Just a couple of hits do enough damage but once engaged a pod of Dolphins is pretty concentrated on that shark. And don't forget orcas eat kill Dolphins and narwhals

The donkey’s bray warning is probably especially effective towards coyotes since like many dog species, they have notoriously good hearing

I felt sorry for the poor Nile croc on the recieving end of that herd of hippos.I wonder what it had done???🤔Gustave, the supposed 300 man-eater Nile croc, was seen to kill a massive adult male hippo,so perhaps not all crocs are afraid of them! Crocodiles will sometimes get up on the backs of hippos to bask (believing them to be stones, rocks, boulders, etc), imagine their surprise when the water horse stands up and starts walking!I also feel sorry for the Great White versus the dolphin/orca.I wouldn't mind so much if the hippos and dolphins/orcas ate the crocs/sharks,as it's a total waste of life.😢Thank you for posting 🇬🇧❤️❤️❤️🐊🐊🐊

2:31 yes, but did you know there’s actually a bigger predator that’s more top-tier than even the great white shark? It’s literally the killer whale also known as the orca and these beasts while most of them stick with hunting fish and squid. Some of them are so large they can and will hunt sharks. Even the great white isn’t safe from these bad boys. In fact, orcas are even sometimes called the wolves of the sea because they hunt together in groups and can take on pretty much anything
