      @ChaseDaAce318 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@anhbayar11 yeah we all saw what Charles did to him and I’m not taking any credit away from Charles’s performance, but the Gaethje we saw in that fight was completely different from the recent version of Gaethje we’ve seen in the Fiziev fight and the Poirier rematch. Those two fights showed a Gaethje who was much more patient and technical, picking his shots well and using good footwork and head movement to avoid damage from his opponent, and he used his jab and straight shots a lot more effectively than before, rather than just loading up on wild hooks like he used to. And on top of that, we gotta remember that after the Charles fight is when Gaethje finally got his deviated septum fixed, so Gaethje’s recent two fights against Fiziev and Poirier were the first fights he’s ever had where he was able to breath out of his nose, and that’s why we saw improvements in his cardio as well

    It's always surprising to me that Justin Gatjhe is actually 34 years old. 34 years old and still has so much potential, I mean this guy was the highlight 5 years ago. D1 wrestler turned brawler and now a picture-perfect head kick. This guy can do so much more than what we expect and that's at 34 years of age. God this guy is good. Honestly, if this guy just lets himself evolve more he can definitely go on to have one of the best championship reigns at lightweight.

    • @adamburling9551
      @adamburling9551 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      @CrazyLouiee At that age, it is more mental and emotional prime. The beginning of wisdom. With that comes more composure.. and from there as you age, you gain even more. Acting less on emotion.
      The only issue with that though, is that while this is taking place, simultaneously, , reactionary timing and even speed/ quickness begin to drop, strength will drop a little more slowly because it can be maintained for a while longer if you stay on top of it...
      As you age, the ability to beat someone younger and more energetic will come down more to knowledge or wisdom gained over time than someone younger.
      Usually it goes.. tenacity, strength, and speed are what you have when you're younger..
      As you age.. the speed and tenacity and reactionary timing will drop ( strength can be maintained ) but will rely mostly on the accumulation of experience and knowledge or wisdom you've gained along the way.

    Fantastic victory by Gaethje. Evolved Gaethje is always a problem. You could tell he was tapping into his next-level fighting. He's locked into the benefits of it and it feels like he's firmly become this next level of fighter with no reverting backward. I love that he didn't brawl his way to the victory and make it "a car crash for the ages" like he was quoted saying. He was measured, collected and centered from the first round. It reminded me of when he fought Ferguson and we saw those first signs of his evolution. It was beautiful skill. He has the kind of mentality, precision and patience of skill now that I believe can hold the belt. The former Gaethje was too reckless. But this evolved Gaethje is a championship belt holder in my book. Can't wait for his championship bout as he bring his evolved style and mindset of fighting to the table.
