You said the line "haven't been the same since I expired" doesn't seem accurate since he was a serial killer before he died, but it's paired with the following line "Doesn't mean that I plan to retire" then "And now I have the power to bathe all of you in entertaining fire". If you then add in an earlier line: "The things I did up there were highschool, now I'm going for my degree"... He's not saying that he only started killing once he got to hell. He's saying that he's ramped up the tempo and really started his massacre now that he has his newfound demonic powers. In my mind at least.
While your explanation is pretty good, as someone who hasn't watched the show what I get from it was that maybe at one point he tried to justify what he was doing not really accepting that he enjoyed it, not until he died that is.

It’s actually cannon that Alastor loves electro swing. Jazz and swing he likes, but the fact that electro swing is a more new style of swing, shows he isn’t completely against new things. Since it’s a genre that adds new aspects to old music.
To be fair, if the music isn't too modern while being old school at the same time, he'd probably listen to it to see if he'd like it or not. *What Michael Jackson song do you think he'd be interested in the most?* I think he'd like Billie Jean, Smooth Criminal, or Dangerous. Keep in mind that on a power scale Charlie could demolish Alistor without much effort. Charlie is probably number 3 in hell after her mom and dad. She just doesn't seem to use her powers out of choice or reluctance. But if Alistor pushes her too far he would not fair well against her.
Alistair is extremely strong (for a sinner). The upper echelon of hell is fundamentally above the capabilities of a sinner not only in raw power but also in the sense that they couldn't even be harmed by them.
In Power scale yes, but he has a very wide variety of powers and when you see his tactic in fights he likes to attack from a distance or tower, meanwhile Charlie doesn't have range attacks ( as far as I'm aware ) so when it comes to advantage Alastor has the upper hand, however with Stolas, he could definitely put up a fight.

At the top you have Lucifers and his family like Charlie with Lucifer obviously being on top. Next you have the Lords of Sin like Asmodeus. 3rd you have the Goetia family like Paimon and Stolas. Finally after them you have the Overlords. The Overlords are powerful in their own rights but they just cant reach the upper echelon of what it possible.
I HIGHLY recommend every Song by Paranoid DJ. His songs for Hazbin Hotel and Helluva Boss are amazing. Silva Hound as well, some amazing songs. This rabbit hole is deeeeeep!

Electro swing is always enjoyable. You may enjoy other Electro Swing creators beyond this song. There are a lot of them out there if you like the style.

I believe the genre of music this song falls under is called Electro-Swing (as you can probably guess from the name, it's a hybridization of Electronic and Swing). Also, I don't see anyone else having mentioned it, but Black Gryphon was Alastor's singing voice in the piolet episode (unfortunately they're doing some recasting for the official show, and he's one of the people who won't be returning).
This is my go to song. I've never heard anything so relatable to my personality. I one day happened across it and I now just love singing and dancing to it.

His smile is not really getting deeper. It is a very tiny bit, but most of that illusion comes from the fact that when he goes dark mode, he gets more teeth. His teeth are bigger and there is less of them in his “normal” form.
