Canton is 5yrs behind Woodstock and 10yrs behind Alpharetta, which is a positive in meaning it's not over built and congested with traffic.

PS, the commute is easy if you have the Peach Pass, 20 minutes to the Battery and 30 to Buckhead or Mid Town

Bro stop exaggerating, it’s not that far from the ATL metro area or true rural. I’ve been to the western states such as Nevada, Utah, New Mexico , Washington, Arizona, Montana, Wyoming, Wyoming etc , and even Texas, that is true emptiness and rural. Most of those states west of the meridian are truly empty outside of their population centers. You can drive hundreds of miles without seeing a person or gas station. Near Canton are strings of other north GA towns and cities like Dalton, Rome, Cartersville etc. Beautiful green space and scenic agricultural or industrial space or state parks are good and necessary. The whole state doesn’t need to be crammed. Even most of New York State is rural and countryside outside of NYC, as it should be a balance…same with a lot of Florida. However the true rural is out west, and I mean in every definition. The east of the US holds the majority of the population in general.

I live in canton next to holly springs and it depends where you live on canton. I walk to the grocery store we have krogers publixs and walmart all walkable distance. The stopping centers are all in same area. I am from new york city Brooklyn and depending where you live in canton places are in walking distance. Where I live at you can walk but it have side walks but people still drive and I find it weird. I have a counter store that close at 11pm and Mc donlads is across the street. The dry cleaners is on the corner and the bank is across the street. We also have dunken donuts across the street and same shops you find in Kennesaw. Crumbles cookies target redlobster and O Charles is like 5 mins away. I am only 12 mins from Kennesaw town shopping center that have 100s of shops and malls. Where I live at is diverse maybe I am not that deep in Canton. You made it sound like your in the hill got eyes movie. LOL.
