Hi I have a 04 honda accord with no compression on cylinder 1...I also have a 05 honda crv that I will like to take the engine out a swap it out with the accord can I do that?
Great video! I'm doing an engine swap in a friends 2010 Honda Accord with the 2.4L and this video helped a lot since the engine and layout are almost identical.
Hello Sir, I have a question for you. My daughter recently totalled a 2005 Honda accord 2.4 lx that has been in the family for many years and the engine and transmission has been very well cared for. As a result of her totaling that car I kept the car from insurance and thinking about parting out…. But I found a 2006 accord 2.4 lx that has good body that is actually in need of an engine / transmission and I’m thinking as a fun project to pickup that car and swap my engine transmission. My question for you is if you were pulling the engine and transmission would you try to pull those together or not? Can I consider using the 2005 in the 2006? Any other guidance you would have for me? I’m not a mechanic but have done significant work in the past including engine pulls and I own a hoist, etc…. Not intimidated but just not sure the best process on this specific vehicle.
I got the manual version took all the engine mounts off the one for the transmission took the flywheel bracket off but my flywheel don’t have those screws how would I be able to remove the engine without transmission
I’m about to start pulling mine now but the engine is locked up, would there still be any way to get the torque converter bolts out or do I have to pull the trans too?
Think you would be pushing the limits on a 500 lb hoist I personally would not risk it mine is just a cheap harbor freight and works great worth the investment if you are going to be pulling engines and transmissions often thanks for the support
@@zsproshop Having recently pulled the K24A4 engine (with the MTX attached) out of my Honda Element, I borrowed a 2T hoist and it was easy. The engine itself weighs about 210 lb and the MTX weighs about 80 lb so a 500 lb hoist could do it but they don't make those anyway. It's either 1 or 2 T.
Usually in the auction if you see a excessively dirty car that you can tell it's been abandoned with spider webs usually indicates that the car is not functioning engine or transmission problems that's always been my experience I still will purchase a car if it's fairly new and has been abandoned and dirty
@@yoselingomez7071 you’ll probably pay half as much rebuilding (in parts and machine shop fee) than you will buying a used engine. This is, of course, only if you’re doing the rebuilding yourself. If you’re paying someone to do everything, a used USDM or JDM engine are cheaper in the long run. Good luck!
What’s up! Long time no see! Thanks for the new video!
yea sorry for the delay got super busy will try to upload when i can
Glad you are still around. Love your grind
Thanks for the support
Nice work, Z! Love how you just get into these cars & knock em out. Stay blessed!

Thanks glad I could help
Will a 2005 engine 2.4 L fit a 2009 accord 2.4L? Any answers
Thank for sharing good video
I have a 1994 accord 2.2 manual transmission. If I’m going to replace the motor does it need to be from a manual car or ir can be automático?
Temperature gauge at operating temp at first start?
Wait, so you have a lift just outside in the elements?
Could this be done without a lift?
I'm hoping to build a k24 to a higher HP to swap...2004 accord ... wanting more power from maybe tsx motor
Where do you go for engine swaps ?

Where did you get the engine at? Trying to swap mine

Usually what I do is drop the oil pan and loosen up the rods sometimes get it free to loosen the converter bolts
Can the engine come out with the the trany on it?
hey I'm having trouble getting my 2003 honda accord lx to start all lights come on when I turn the key doesn't do anything
Can I get 1800cc engine instead 2.4 ?
As others stated, you made it look easy. Would a 500lb hoist be enough if the engine was attached to the transmission and all "dressed"?

No

How much you charge for something like this
What size socket did you use for the crank
Don't remember off the top of my head probably a 19 21 or 17
Hi My name is Javier, good morning thanks

Did you end up removing the rear mount completely or did you leave it there before putting the new motor in?
no just put it in the same way it came out thanks for the intrest
The passenger axle is coming off with my motor why is that?
wonder if i can remove both engine and transmission on a V6 with a hoist hmmmmmm
@19:55 is it missing the Intake air temp sensor on the intake tube?
Looks like it is but it's just a blank tube solid on the bottom
@@zsproshop 👍

Does anybody know if a 2005 accord 2.4L engine will fit 2009 accord 2.4 L
Will not 03-05 or 05-07 then 09-11 if I’m not mistaken
How much was the motor ?
If I remember right somewhere around 550$
I’m having trouble lining it up the engine
I probably have to remove the mont in the back
First thing you do is replace it with the 6 speed mt j6 :)
Hi would you recommend reconstructing or replace an engine?
If you have time rebuild it but now it's almost always cheaper and quicker to replace with a used engine
@@zsproshop how long is it to reconstruct it. I heard it may take up to a month, plus what’s the difference in cost for the two?

Once i spent 30 hours rebuilding a motorcycle engine only to have it not turn or even try to
