i just got the 2021 sf-4000 loving it soo much. they spread the diodes and packed them on the edge and corner so the par isn't so high in the center and higher on edge's and corners.
I definitely need to get ahold of one of the new versions of the SF-4000 so that I can check it out.
I have the same light , tremendous light . The girls love it 🪴
It's probably superb for a 4x4, but the coverage does not justify a 5x5 in flower.
The high center par always sounds great but you would rather have ~800 evenly than 1700 in the center and 50 in the corners.
That's why I would recommend to go with the spider design that use these slim, long bars instead of the boards.
I am really curious about those new lights as well, going to see if I can get ahold of one of those soon to test out =) Would be great to be able to compare the SF-7000 versus the SE-7000 and see how the light spread compares.
I agree, IMO this light is obsolete. The 4 panels are just two close to each other. If you could spread them out maybe it could still be competitive but as is I could never recommend it. The SE version would make way more sense.
Hell yeah, my wife loves the color neon green. I think she will let me buy it just for that feature 😂😂🤣🤣

It is a beast! The crazy thing with this one is UPS actually delivered it to some business here in Eugene, and I had to fight them to get it delivered to us =) They eventually found it though and we finally got it here.

Hey there and since I´m this early i´d like to notify you about a typing mistake you have made.
At 6:32 for the Height of 24 Inches the third box from the middle shows a Par value of 7453. I´m sure that this minor mistake does notharm the video in any way since you and this whole channel is easily my favorite YT channel to watch and your covarage of topics is well rounded and I think everyone can find something to learn here
Haha nice! I am not surprised that I missed a mistake on the light levels, I am punching in a pile of info onto those sheets, and this time I had to remake the entire thing as I lost the last template when my hard drive died. Ah well, thanks for pointing it out =) I am going to be re-doing all of the Spider Farmer light reviews soon, and will probably get some wrong on there as well =)

Absolutely. There is a reason that our first indoor grows were using the cheapest blurpies that I could get my hands on. Everyone has to decide what works best in their situation, and thankfully there are a ton of options out there at different price points.
Just picked up 1 today friends uncle bought it last year. He passed away and friend got it ,sold to me for $250. See if its worth it i guess
It is a very solid light, especially for that price. What size grow space are you planning on using it in?
Its over 3 in the center of a 4x8 at the moment
I've got 2 SF 4000s and I'm getting ready to upgrade and after seeing this I know it's NOT going to be another Spiderfarmer. This light is not that much bigger in size...I'm going with mars hydro FC 6500 it a bigger light 44"×44" and has way many more diodes. I'm disappointed Spiderfarmer couldn't come up with a better design
Check out the Spider Farmer SE-7000 instead, it is set up with the bars and a larger footprint. I am hoping to get one to review soon :)

Yes, you can use this light in that size of tent and get a pretty good light spread.
I need some answers I just bought this light off amazon and it had a different driver. Mine says MOSO on it
I have heard that they are using a couple of different drivers, they should be very similar though.
I noticed some of the reviews of the SF7000 have a UV light per square (4 total), and some don't. Do you think that matters much?
It is nice to have, and all new ones that you buy should have them. Also, they have revamped it for 2022, and the leds are now bunched up more around the edges to help with light spread.

Does this mean a new grow?
Not with this light immediately, we are coming up on summer here and we only run indoor during the winter because I dont want to have to air condition the garage =) In the fall we will be using this light for sure though. We have a couple of more things planned after the current grow series finish up, including this years outdoor grow which I am really excited about =)

I dont think there is such a thing as overkill. If you can afford it, I like putting larger lights in tents and then running them dimmed.

Getting my first light tomorrow but I want to get something that I won’t need to upgrade, I’m starting with 6 plants and eventually going to 12. Will this thing be overkill for 6 plants or just right?
Really what matters more is the grow space you need to cover. You can squeeze 6 plants into a 2x2 tent if they are small. What is your tent or room size that you are trying to cover?

ive got a 4x2 tent, think this light will fit?
No, it is going to be too deep to fit in there. Look at at the ViparSpectra P4000. We will be doing a grow in the future with the Spider Farmer tent and the P4000, and I think it is going to fit really well.
@@TheHippieGeeks pardon my ignorance;as I'm new to this...but when you say "too deep" do you mean it will hang too low? I ask because the light is about 29inx22-23in so I thought it wouldn't touch the sides of the tent
You are right, I was thinking of the SE-7000 bar style light, not the SF-7000 board style light. This fixture will fit in there, but the light spread is more set up for a square tent so you will have a lot of the light focused in the center of the tent, with less on the left and right sides of the tent. You will get better coverage using a pair of SF-2000 lights which we have done in the past, or a single rectangular light like the P2000. It just vides you a more even coverage across the entire canopy.

At an angle, yes =) The 29" width keeps that from happening unfortunately, though if you could find like a 30"x30" tent you could squeeze it in there.

Hello I tried purchasing an SE7000 but the company is not responding nor there is a phone number they can be reached on.
I have the feeling this is some Hoax company pretending to be in America and Europe but actually they are from and based in Shenzhen.
I am scared to buy from this company.
Hopefully anyone has some more information about Spider Farm and their reliability as their customer service so far seems far below averatge.
Where are you trying to buy from? They are definitely a real company, and a lot of folks have used them for years now. If you are worried about getting scammed, buy from Amazon as their return policy is pretty solid.
They are very vague in their communication and don't understand about their own website prices.

I have not had any issues with them as of late, though we don't communicate super often just every couple of weeks. They have been fairly responsive lately as we just did a giveaway. Just keep trying your contact and see if you can get thru? Wish I had a better answer for you.

Not at all, I prefer to overlight a tent. That way you can run it dimmed and extend the life of the light =)

Just don't rely on it to light a 5x5 because it won't. Had to buy another $500 light to fill the space
I just picked up a couple of larger tents so that I can test these lights inside of an actual tent. With the physical dimensions of the light, I can see how it would have a lot of fall off at the edges though.

The thing that I really like about these larger lights with dimmers is that you can grow into it as time progresses. I am going to do a follow up video about the light levels in different sized tents as soon as I can get the larger grow tents here to test it in =)
Prices are redic. Lots of videos on making your own. I have the SF 1000 and disappointed that I bought it. Should have saved for a light that will bud a plant.
A lot of folks aren't comfortable with that, and that is fine. I think it is great that there are so many options out there for lighting that everyone can choose from. A person can build their own, buy something from another company, or go with a Spider Farmer light ... there are different options at different price points, and I think that is great.
I love this light, wish I had the money for one. SPIDER FARMER hook me up!
This light is definitely expensive, but if it is in someone's price range it can put out a lot of light =)

Spider farmer tents kick ass so i bet the light kills it for growth in a big tent.
The light levels are really amazing, and I love that the dimmer makes it usable by just about anyone at whatever stage your plants are at. Not to mention its green =D

i ordered a 2nd sf4000 3 days ago, and the next day i saw this one AND the crazy SE7000 on their website.
I want the SE now so much i'm not even excited about the new sf4000 that's coming today.
