This reminds me how groundbreaking her original departure video was. She really raised the bar within the ASMR community with that video. Before that video launched ASMR videos had very bare bones editing and low quality video equipment.

Underrated tech: matching the lighting in your recording set to the perceived lighting of what's going to be on your green screen. She consistently does a pretty fantastic job of this on her videos. Does wonders for the immersion of the viewer

A little detail I just noticed. At Lacuna, they basically told you you needed to turn over a key to your house so they could take you home -- i.e. very shady and invasive. Here they just confirm that you have a trusted companion to give you a ride home. Hmm. Interesting.
Agreed. Although there's a bit of time difference between the two procedures - Lacuna's memory removal took 9-10 hours (by my reckoning), whereas the Carpe Memoria procedure looks like it takes about an hour or so, complete with post-procedure nap.
Well the point of Lacuna was to erase your memory, including your memory of Lacuna.. so it would’ve defeated the purpose to involve someone else unless that person was willing to lie and make sure you never found out they took you there lol

I promised my son that when you posted a new video, I'd add a comment just for him. He wanted me to tell you that he loves your fairytale series, and he hopes you'll add more. He's five years old and suffers from migraines. Listening to your videos helps ease his discomfort so we don't have to rely on medication, for which I am so grateful. I bought the same book you use on Amazon, thinking that I could read stories to him to achieve the same affect. But no. Even though he loves being read to and he loves the book, it doesn't have the same effect on his headaches without your voice and speech patterns. I know I'm rambling, but I just wanted to thank you for making these videos. They're more than just simple entertainment, and you should be proud of that. :)

Hey Ally, hope you’re doing ok. I just wanted to say that I’m an old old fan, been relaxing to your videos for so many years, and I actually got to know asmr through your videos. For a while I couldn’t even sleep without it. For the last year or two I naturally stopped needing or watching asmr, but at the begging of the month my 75 year old father got into the hospital bc of covid and it was the worst and scariest days of my life, I couldn’t stop thinking about it, and making up funeral scenarios, just the worst scenarios, and so obviously I couldn’t sleep, until I remembered this tool that took care of me and my racing mind so many times during my teenage depressed years, and I finally got to sleep, even if it was because I was imagining that all of this inhuman and painful reality was being erased from me. That actually might’ve been the only reason i got to sleep in those first nights. So yeah i just felt like telling this in here in the hopes that you’ll read it and know the importance of the energy and time that you put all of these years, and maybe that mean something to you while you’re gone for your own reasons (what I mean is that we miss you). Thank you, and I really do hope you’re doing well. Xo from brazil!

Thanks so much for making one that is interactive. That's why your cranial nerve exam vid is the best - it's all "look left, count my fingers, close the other eye, stare at this light" etc. Great for people with anxiety who have trouble quieting racing thoughts at night.

Your green screen and CG skills are so good Ally! The tracking was amazing.
Viola Skyes I've used green screen work before and it's damn hard work. It's a painstaking process and can be a big pain in the ass. Ally's skill are simply amazing. I was never good at it but props to Ally for being so good at it 😊.
I did this in college, it's not that hard. Motion tracking is easy if you have a point for the software to follow like a light, green screen on the other hand is a piece of piss to do so long as you set it up right
For me in all honesty I find myself going back and watching your old videos that weren't all roleplay to help me relax.
Everything about this video is amazing but one thing that shocked me was the effect you added in at 23 minutes that was not only very relaxing but the visual effect was also very nice! Keep up the wonderful videos please :)

As great as all the other ASMR artists are, Ally is BY FAR my favorite. The quality of her videos and her angelic voice relax me like no one else. She is the queen of ASMR as far as I am concerned.
