Erich and Gabby’s love reminded me so much of my relationship with my husband. Like Erich, my husband comes from a loving, committed, and secured family so he is very sure of himself, and he shows love without any hesitation or reservation. I come from a divorced and divided family, so I was more reserved and unsure of what I wanted or deserved. My husband showed me that I deserve true love and commitment from a man just like how Erich is showing Gabby here. Seeing them together makes me so emotional and happy for them. When I saw her Gabby get upset with him about being jealous I thought she really needs a lesson about men and love. It’s normal men and women have jealousy! It’s romance. So, Gabby leaves Erich devastated because he doesn't want her being intimate with the other guys. Gabby's face is distorted with anger and bitterness because she's been given an ultimatum and she's upset and treats Erich coldly as if he's no longer a valued human in her life. Then we hear Gabby saying in front of the camera, the man she really is in love with and sees herself with is Jason; and he's the one she has always wanted and she knew that from the beginning. Then once Jason doesn't want anything to do with Gabby anymore because he feels in his heart she is not the one, Gabby's becomes distraught and wants Erich again. So in essence Erich is Gabby's rebound.
I mean, yeah. If I was Erich, that is pretty much how I would feel. Like you only want me because I"m all that's left. Ok...that would not make me feel too good.
@Patrice Davis I was thinking along these lines too. I kind of think that he might not even be as "in love" as he thinks he is if his dad weren't dying. I'm not saying that what they have isn't real, but maybe now is not the best time to lock it down with someone for life when you are in a very vulnerable place in your life.
