I prefer LED ceiling light fixtures that allow some light to spill out onto the ceiling, like the one shown in this video. The reflected light from the white ceiling really makes the room look brighter and the lighting looks more natural.
Went from having to replace the bulb once a year to having to replace the whole darn light every six months to three years. Don't you just love progress...
@@videorangers3962 Nah, this light is okay, if you've already purchased it might as well just run it, and if you have issues try to return to the retailer. For the two that failed me, artika support did nothing to help me, but home depot did help me sort it out. I ended up just buying a new one a year later (returning the defective one with the new receipt) and it's been smooth sailing since. I think why mine had issues is that I didn't ground it super well the first time around. Third time around, I grounded it well & it's been good. I really like this light fixture, color temp and brightness adjustability really elevate the space. Just don't count on artika support to provide any "support" whatsoever. I still use these lights & will use them 'til they die. However when buying home upgrades, always look for brands that offer (and honour) lifetime warranties, because those are better investments in the long run. Hope this helps!
Did it come with the anchors and were the necessary? Looks like the 2 center screws from the receptacle should have held it in place assuming you screw them in nice and snug
Yup it came with the anchors & extra screws for that. Yes, the 2 center screws will hold the weight of the fixture, but I think the extra screws around the perimeter of the light just keep it extra sturdy, especially when putting on/taking off the cover. If you skip out on those extra screws, there *might* be a visible gap between the ceiling and the fixture. Hope this helps!
Nope, All you need is a regular switch on the wall. You control the dimming and color shift with the remote. might not even be compatible with a dimmer on the wall. I assume the fixture needs full power to operate, and the fixture’s onboard control module controls how much power gets sent to the LEDs.
@@ew1258 yes, it works great. The first one I got was faulty, but it might have just been poor wiring on my part. Aside from that these fixtures have been really reliable and I am still very happy with them.
Yup, the one remote controls both lights. I have an extra remote that I won't use unless the first one breaks or gets lost. They don't need to sync with each other or anything. It's pretty plug & play.
@@pongassassin you can definitely install these in multiple rooms and set them separately from each other. When I adjust the brightness or color temperature, I have to adjust it on each light fixture individually. Each unit is operated independently.
Great video. Looks like you had two lights in the fixture like I have. From what I can see in your video, I should not have any problems with installing the LED light as there will be only the wires that go to the LED, correct?
Hey man. I just installed one of these and it doesn't work. Has a super fast very dim flash when i flick the switch and doesn't turn on. What issue did you have with your defective one? Thanks
If you can, return it. It's likely a fault in the LED driver, so that's a manufacturers defect. Mine had a similar issue. Mine would flash brightly when turning on, then it would turn on normally after. That might not sound like much, but after reading online about LED light fixtures, it's a symptom of a failing LED driver. It's fairly common for these types of fixtures to have LED driver problems. Home Depot took it back and I ordered another. It sucks these are having such a high failure rate. I hope the manufacturers can do a better job of making working light fixtures.
haha I recorded with a lav into my iphone but the audio didn't work out because it was clipping every time I raised my voice. I couldn't adjust gain on my iphone. I def need to get a proper lav system! That's been on my mind for about 4.5 years 😂
Thank you for this I just picked one of these up!
The 30-second timer off is awesome for those nerds scared of the dark.... I am those nerds.
Great video. Helped me out man. Thanks.......They look great by the way.......
Thanks for this video! I installed one of these successfully after watching this!

you are 100% correct! I'm on my third one in that spot. I'm hesitant to buy any more LED fixtures.

I like that light but these lights with remotes tend to not work with smart switches so I stay away from them
@@jeremiahpowell3028 this is true. If you run smart switches, a different style of light will suit you better.
So even though this fixture comes with a remote, I do not need a dimmer switch?

Don't knock boob lights. Just mount them in pairs! 😊

The leds look like the older generation bead types not the rectangular ,flat ,gold color leds . Am I wrong?
