This is... The perfect megalovania for the ULBR. Like , its catchy yet not boring, it feels like Sans dunked on you so hard that even Gaster left the void to watch your bloody pieces.
Most of the time I like when there's no slow ass intro because megalovania is supposed to be the opposite of that, but when there isn't even a buildup it sounds kinda weird and not really good.
I really like how this just skips straight to the action with no buildup. Really feels like you've done this so many times that even the music is like "Alright, alright, keep it moving."
The fact that everyone keeps uploading videos that are like "OMG LAST BREATH PHASE 1000000" i dont like the original version aswell it isnt that unique so Yeah i really love the renewed version because its just really unique and sans found his own way to be alive and not be saved by gaster.
objectively; i think last breath renewed is just alright honestly it's not bad, but it's not great either, the game itself is stupidly hard as you have to go through two phases before reaching a checkpoint (as far as i know? pretty sure that’s not the case) though it’s a given that this gameplay ends up being tedious & difficult for casual players some characters act out-of-character at times with sans reciting undyne the undying's death quote to flowey feeling guilty over dad's death when he killed him before there are some ideas that i like though, sticking to the canon sprites and having what's essentially as a virtual machine that is windows xp, so it's not too ridiculous to say the least, but it needs some improvements, especially sound mixing (gaster blaster sounds 💀)
its kind of a love letter to what sans felt like when you first fought him. first phase is sans but a tad harder, then the second phase is sans but two times harder. the second phase is supposed to make pros feel like they are fighting sans for the first time again.
phase 2 not having a checkpoint doesnt really bother me, what bothers me is that you dont even restore hp or items so you just need to replay phase 1 a lot until you get to phase 2 with decent hp and without using more than 2 items
