i love how the offscreen moments of flowey finally getting to reveal everything to asgore, including the fact that he's his son, along with the onscreen moment of him bonding in a way with his dad by fighting alongside him, is what probably causes him to break so badly when asgore dies he just falls into despair, knowing that even with everything, even with all the hope it gave him (his dad is there as his confidant and his ally, and he gives it his all and dies anyways) it was meaningless in the end, so he just waits to die next god, flowey goes through some tough shit in genocide lmao

Chara don’t like to do the genocide she just wanted to kill the humans that mistreated her… so she fussed with arsiel. And arsiel dies with chara’s determination so when alphys revives him as flowey he gots chara mentality… do if chara was a monster she would do the same thing that flowey does
Undyne said while she was training with Asgore he dodged every hit. Which makes you wonder why he didn't dodge here, maybe he still wants to die for what he did?
Simple. He walked around her attacks (as it was most likely more like the Undyne chase sequences) but couldn’t dodge you. Otherwise he would’ve taught Undyne how to dodge. Sans can manipulate battle mechanics to an extent (extending his turn and removing immunity frames) so he probably just moved his sprite
Asgore still keeps his head down in this fight, and by how much damage he actually does, it doesn’t seem like this is everything. In regular Undertale, Asgore has 80 ATK 80 DF (this would one shot you in a pacifist route) he obviously holds back and never utilizes it, which looks like something similar here

Tbh the only problem I have with this is flowey does basically nothing after asgore dies, he just gets really sad which doesnt seem too in character. In undertale he kills asgore in an attempt to appease you but it fails. He really doesnt care about asgore though

You know, knowing Flowey’s in this now, makes me wonder why Gaster didn’t go to him instead of Sans in this AU. Like I know the obvious answer is that Sans and Gaster have a bigger connection to each other and are generally associated together, but like hear me out. Flowey is the ONE person in the entire Underground who can reasonably match Frisk. For the sole reason that he has the ability to steal the reset button from them. Granted, Sans is a much better fighter in the short term, given that even he was able to give Flowey a bad…experience. But Flowey’s ultimately better in the long run. Since all Gaster needs to do to mitigate that weakness is convince Flowey to go take the six souls, with Gaster powering him up to help take down Asgore (admittedly having to get rid of him is not great, but it’s for the good of everyone) to gather the six souls, while Frisk is busy fighting Sans and he now he has complete utter control. I’m just using my admittedly fading memory of classic Last Breath btw. Idk if renewed changed the lore in anyway that contradicts this. Another thing that could be a problem with this is I guess Flowey getting a little too mad with power. Sort of like trading one evil for another at that point, and that he might be a little too unpredictable for Gasters liking.

If Asgore could dodge the players attacks, this would be unwinnable for us. Thankfully, Monster vs Monster is a lot different from Monster vs Human, and he can’t manipulate game mechanics like a certain cheater skeleton. Before you say “but aSGorE cAN dodGe theREfOre He is StRongEr thAn sAns” no. He does beat him in pure physical strength, but Sans has him in the cheater department (Asriel solos both tho) plus Asgore vs Undyne took place like the chase sequence, so he could just walk around the spears
