I've been there once and it was one of my least favorite ports to visit although we didn't do any excursions are anything I'll make better plans next time I visit!
Yes, I've been there twice and we did a swimming with the pigs excursion the first time and the second time we went to Taino Beach Resort. Both excursions were so much fun. I will be going back there very soon.
Thanks for the tour of Freeport. It's a blessing to see how much they have recovered since the devastating hurricane hit them in the fall of 2019 and destroyed so much...homes and businesses. Loss of lives were also devastating. Thanks again for sharing...❤

Hey y'all! We have never been to Freeport, Bahamas yet. Blue Iguana is one of our favorite spots to have lunch and breakfast. I love some great rum cake, but the price got to be right for us. Hello. Thanks for watching. There are 2 docks in Freeport. If Carnival docks at the one we were at, the shops are right there within the gates. If it docks at the other pier you’ll have to walk about 10 minutes to get to the shops. Not many restaurants but there are food stands available.
So night owls is 10pm-1am. It costs about $8.50 per hour. They don’t sleep there. They’ll play games, watch movies, and have dance parties. It’s just an option for parents who want to hang out on the ship and have their kids supervised. The regular kids club closes at 10pm each night so sometimes there might be an overlap with a show or comedy club so adults want to hang out. We’ll use this option sometimes especially if there is a dance part Jo wants to attend but we pick her up by 11pm.
I did not care for Ensenada when I went on a west coast cruise. Similar to Freeport you really have to do an excursion to enjoy the area. Pushy people at shops are not so fun, I understand why of course, but it's still frustrating.

Yes most ports take US dollars. Especially in the Bahamas. I recommend using cash or a credit card. Don’t use a debit card as you are always at a greater risk for fraudulent charges while traveling abroad. It’s easier to dispute if anything happens if you use a credit card rather than a debit card.

I didn't liked that port but husband and I walked a lot and more and we found the market, we bought some things there but to desire to return.

The port definitely didn’t offer too much. And there aren’t many excursions for this port. But next time we will plan to check out an excursion.
