    Simply AMAZING!! I’m a 3d modeler working primarily in Maya. Which is not totally ideal for 3d printing. I’ve started to experiment with 3d printing. Slowly painting too! Thank you so much for this video. You have no idea how much it has helped me in taking that next step in 3d printing!

      Wow that’s awesome I used maya back in the day. Great program. Your definitely doing it right there a quite a few people out there that model for 3D printing that don’t 3D print. You can always tell cause they aren’t set up to print well. I also have a series that walks you through my entire process step by step to help people paint 3D prints. Not that you should watch it but if your wanting to improve your painting skills I’m sure you could pull some tips out of it.

      Yeah, I’m trying to make myself more marketable. If I can animate maybe I can design action figures or accessories as well! Can’t hurt to branch out and try new things. I’ll definitely check the rest of your videos in your library! Thx

      I did that as well for my son. This video might help you. I did the entire statue like I did the base for this.

    Hey Chris!! Your videos got me into painting my 3D prints and I’m having a blast! You’re a good teacher and I’m grateful for your excellent content! Question: do you ever use a spouncer for dry brushing?

    • @ItsMeaDMaDe
      @ItsMeaDMaDe  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Wow. Thanks so much. I’m glad you enjoy painting it’s such a great hobby.
      Answer: No. But you can use it for good textures on stone and rough patterns. It’s the same method as dry brushing. Just get a little on the spouncer and wipe off access and you daub it on randomly.

      I will either do a short of this or add it in one of my next painting videos. 👍

    I think the cloak part of Moinknight's outfit shpould have been more pristine-white with more shading to make it "Pop!" more.

    Hey Chris. Another stellar video!!! Quick question about wicked prints…. Are the files they send just slice and print? Or will I need to put supports etc? Thanks for the help and hella good channel brother 😎👍🏼

    • @ItsMeaDMaDe
      @ItsMeaDMaDe  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      So if your printing resin they always give you a supported version that is just slice and print. They do have high quality stuff and their supports are good never had a failure.

    Such a great paint job. I’ve just subscribed to wicked myself! How do you find the gluing? When I glued a statue together I found gaps in the pieces that I’d have to fill. If you are painting first before filling seams and such, how do you get around that? Also how do you find the presupports for wicked files? I’ve always heard that presupported files are not that good and to just do your own supports. I’m using auto supports myself at the moment, just easier, but if I can just use presupported files with. I problems it will just save me a step lol

    excellent work, very good 😁
    what is the model of your printer, and what type of filament does it use? I'm thinking of putting something together that I can work on, but I don't know where to start, I also don't know where to find the files to print, just like yours.

    • @ItsMeaDMaDe

      This wasn’t printed in fdm. I printed this all in resin on a EPAX E10 8k printer.
      But I did do a video series explaining the process of painting fdm models. Here is the playlist if your interested:

    Has anyone printed Wicked models with PLA? I haven’t gotten into resin yet but REALLY want to print these statues, but I’m worried the layer lines will just ruin it for me

    • @ItsMeaDMaDe
      @ItsMeaDMaDe  ปีที่แล้ว

      Your supports would really have to be dialed in. But it’s possible will just take a lot of processing work.

  • @Tjup
    @Tjup 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    why spend so much resin and time, and not doing anything to the layers, comeon man
