Yes this might actually be an official BDP set, which means it is made as an official Lego set, with instructions included. They are not the same structurally and design wise to a normal retail set, more often more akin to a moc you'd buy on rebrickable, but it comes in a large box with all the parts and apart from the pricepoint, which could be quite high still, they are some of the best Lego sets around, at least in terms of looks and originality.
Thank you very much for mentioning me in your best medieval LEGO builds video. I'm honored! I also want to thank everyone who liked and supported my little swamp castle. If you have any questions about the model, feel free to ask.
Moldy rock castle was one of my favorites as well. I think it could work very well for the Bear knights (frightening knight CMF). It has a very cool distinct look, while still fitting in the current line of castles (Lion Knights castle, Mountain Fortress)
I love that moldy rock moc it’s genuinely such a cool model. It’s something I’d actually put the time into and part out to build it I hope he releases rebrickable instructions if he doesn’t win. But it’s definitely got my vote (Edit. Can someone link me to where I gotta submit my vote)
I am just impressed on how wholesome this community is, theres bumps here and there but you guys pull through with creativity and sheer fun in building these cute lego bricks. ❤
The Castle community is certainly one of the best. The Lego community as a whole is great, with the exception of some of the Star wars elements, but this Castle / Medieval themed portion is really a highlight for me. With so few actual Lego sets that cater to this audience, it is the creativity and originality of the (quite large) community that keeps this alive and thriving. I would say it is growing in popularity, as opposed to other themes, like the ones based on existing IP's.
They only pick castle sets dedicated to a current faction. So unless it features the wolf pack, forestmen, black Falcons, or Lion knights. As the sheilds in the LK castle was to pay homage to old faction, they obviously only want to focus on animal theme factions.
Thank you for all these great videos and thank you for featuring me in this MOC video. It brings a lot of joy and motivates to improve on MOC building.
I always love these submission of the month type videos. The Moldy Rock castle is one I voted for, there were many great castle themed submissions this 5th edition of the BDP and hopefully we get at least 2 of them out there for pre-order purchase. The hardest part about submitting a personal Moc for this is not attaching a photo to an email, it is making a good picture of your moc. I have made quite a few photographs to show my builds to other people online, but they simply don't look great. You need a good camera, good lighting and a solid setup to make it come off even half as good as the original. We even see this in retail lego sets, where the box is often showing something good, but when you build it in person, it always turns out way nicer and more detailed than it looks on the pictures. If you know of a way how to get around this, please tell us, as it would make sharing our work way easier.
I'd love too see you make a lego castle faction ideas video, like what colors and animals/themes you'd like to see in a lego castle faction, maybe even what race you'd want them to be if you wanna go down the more fantasy route
Bricks_fan_uy is so talented! I've seen a good amount of his work, and love every build he makes. I want to make some bigger mocs, but my parts collection isn't large enough yet. I did make a Western saloon moc that I'm quite happy with though. I'll be making a video on the saloon next week :)
Hey please feel free to resubmit to the email. It's become really hard to find peoples mocs through other avenues like insta & youtube tags so this will make it so i can organize the submissions. Thanks for submitting anyways :)
bit disappointed to not see my moc here but i totaly understand why, great mocs last month, especially love the number 1 pick! and you also just me wanna work extra hard on my upcoming moc to be in the july one >:)
Hey! Yeah sorry there were a LOT of mocs that didn't make it in because i just can't find them anymore. The new email will really help this series stay organized in the future
@@Goldfyre yeah yeah I totally get it, also your channel has grown a LOT since you started this so I get why you are under prepared for this issue, also a TON of good submitions this time around
First time i,ve seen this kind of videos... Great job. I expect that you could see some of The Witcher (videogame and serie) that peopleo create in lego mocs, they are real good ones and they "enter" into medieval theme castle.
Same lol youtube just added a feature where you can select three thumbnails at once to see which one performs best so I've been testing out a lot of new ones with it
Lore for the Mocs: The White Tower - 0:15 The White Tower is built using a mix of white sandstone and marble, courtesy of the Ghiscari Orcs. It is built on a hilltop to overlook both the Ghiscaros City and the Ravens watch. It also acts as a shrine, since the Raven Knights saw a flock of them heading south. This is was led them to naming themselves after this particular bird. The Wolfpack Den - 3:05 Located somewhere in the Queenswood, the Wolfpack built this small castle atop the ruins of an old Dragon Knight fortress. It was built to establish a foothold on the Lion Kingdom, so it looks like the Lions are going to have to ask help from the Black Falcons.
There were too many good castle & medieval builds in this last round of BDP! Round 3 and 4 already have good castle sets locked in. I can only imagine at least 2 of 5 in Round 5 are from the huge selection of great medieval themed builds from Wolfpack to Fright Knights to inhabited bridges to traveling caravans. I sorted by part count: low to high. It was really revealing. There were some fairly big builds under 2000 bricks. I praised them for efficiency. I noticed that a lot of the big 4k-6k part builds got a lot of compliments for their detail & scope. But when sets do a price reveal over $350, everyone complains they can't afford them. Almost wanting to raffle off my Mountain Fortress for $500 when I get it. The instructions have over 1000 pages!
It's hard to make good videos and i honestly still have a LOngggg way to go. But with that being said if you like making videos you should just keep making them and try and improve one little thing each time.
