I got to meet Cassio my first time fly fishing on the San marcos. What a great guy. I'm sure I was in his way slowing him down but he still took the time to show me flys and give me some tips about that section of river. Definitely going to book a trip when funds are available
@@AlvinDedeauxFlyFishing You definitely should! Late summer and fall is a great time to visit Washington. Salmon and cutthroat in the river and salt. Also bull trout and summer steelhead in a few rivers.
Killer vid, Alvin. Great views from the cam. Special places on these rivers and creeks of Central Texas. I spent some years being a river rat, mostly on the Guad above Canyon Lake, and quickly fell in love with those Guadalupe Bass. This video gave me a sense of nostalgia. I caught the salt bug pretty bad, thinking it's time to get back to my roots, literally and figuratively with all the cypress trees. Peace and love, fellow fishers. 🤙
How do y'all identify a guadalupe bass with that little pattern color? My new local water is the South Llano, and I have been slaying fish. Only one guadalupe and it was easy to tell just from the color and pattern. I think he said tongue patch?
Couple nice log jams plus some beautiful Guads!
So true!
More good times on the river!
Looks like a good day in spite of a few obstacles.
It was!
This seemed like a good idea at the time......famous last words! Looks like you made it just fine!
Y’all wore them out! Hope to see more videos from this stretch of that river.
Fun times and laughs!
Looks like a fun day was had by all . And now you know :-)

ah he is pretty great!
Looks like the San Marcos or lower Colorado.
That looks like an awesome stretch of water. It reminds me of a lot of our sea run cutthroat streams here in Washington.
I might have to give that a try sometime.

Yes the rough tooth patch on the tongue.
@@AlvinDedeauxFlyFishing thanks! I'll be paying much closer attention to bass I catch here
That's some fishy looking water!
It is!
Awesome vid… what weight/length setup were you guys using? Thanks!
Mostly nine foot five and six weights.
What flys did you use ? I see there mostly poppers ?
Poppers and a few different streamers. Mostly no name patterns Bonner and Cassio tied up.
@@AlvinDedeauxFlyFishing cool thanks for getting back to me so quickly.
Show us those flies!😆
