It is a very popular sculpture that everyone seems to love. This is a good project to do if you are looking for something easy and cute to make that will FOR SURE sell. So, if you're interested in an easy, sellable project then grab your clay and supplies and come CLAY ALONG...

Clay is SO fun there's a learning curve for sure but I used to make all kinds of stuff out of my imagination. Halloween is easy because if your character looks a bit odd, it'll fit right in lol. I did sell some on Etsy. People bought unfinished mushrooms for their fairy gardens (this was back when fairy gardens first came out ) Super easy to make. I mean none of it was profit enough to consider a tangible income but it was fun and basically paid for my supplies. The other day my son asked me to start making stuff again. These snow people are great thanks for sharing!
I agree with everything you’ve said BUT I do find that in the right markets I can sell my figures and make some profits but it’s taken years to get to a point where it was good enough products to make a profit bc of the quality of my work. It definitely is a learning curve but that’s why I’m here to help people learn the things that I had to learn the hard way. Hope you have an amazing day and thanks for feedback
I just found your channel, and you are such a great artist! And I subscribed can’t wait to see more clay projects!❤️
@@netamorton4832 oh yay 😀 I’m so glad you’re here!!! And thank you so much you’re too sweet. I just want to share my art and help others appreciate and love clay as much as I do.

@@elizabethmoorman7434 this is a fun piece to make. Hope you give it a try ❤️😊
INCREDIBLE!!! LOVE THIS. THANK YOU.
Thank you so much… I’m so glad you like it
They're so adorable Jessie!! 😍 Thanks for all your tips, they are extremely helpful!
Thank you so much 😊 and I’m so glad I can help
I never was a serious crafter until I started doing crystal diamond paintings….I made many from flowers to famous stars. Never sold them, just gave them as gifts. Now I’m 80 and my crippling arthritis keeps me from holding the instrument correctly precisely when setting the beads. I’m hoping to start using soft clay that I can correct errors that my fingers may cause. I’m able to hold small instruments for a short period . Could you steer me in the right direction so I will have the proper materials without spending a fortune before I know how I do this craft properly? I love watching you craft and hope I can join in on the fun 🎉
@@terrieseverson6346 of course I can help. There are so many things you use as tools with clay that are just normal household items. The only tool I live and die by when doing clay is called a clay shaper and it has a pointy flexible rubber tip. If I had to start over that’s the tool I would start with. I started with humble beginnings and I understand where you’re coming from. I will make a video all about the things you really NEED to make successful clay pieces and the things that are just convenient and how you can substitute those things. It may be a couple of weeks because the filming and editing of a video takes quite a bit of time and I have a full time job and a family, so it ends up taking me a week to film and then another week to edit and upload so please be patient but I will make a video just for you. Its a great idea for a video anyway
Thanks for the idea and I hope we get to clay together soon 😊
@@clayalongcreations I can’t thank you enough for taking the time to read my message and respond in such a positive way. I will be awaiting the special video and know it will be of a great help to me and so many others. 🥰❗️

@@terrieseverson6346 absolutely 😊 no problem
Nice!
My daughter loves Playdoh.. we definitely should try to clay sometime,, maybe make a little waffle guy 😂 ✌️❤️🧇
That would be awesome. I think you should go for it. It’s so much fun and rewarding to sculpt. My 5 year old loves to sculpt with me
So cute!
Thank you 😊
I am about to start dabbling in clay, and just found you on TH-cam ... so I subscribed and am enjoying your videos ... P.S. Love the bloopers :)
Great!!! I have so much to teach and I am glad you found me bc I’m about to start making how to videos on the basics of using clay that no one thinks about like the behind the scenes stuff… baking the clay, armatures and basic stuff like that. So being a beginner this will be a bigger help than you realize trust me I had to learn it all myself and a lot can go wrong so I’m here to help avoid that so I hope you stay tuned
These look very sweet
Thank you so much 😊
That is so adorable! I'm subscribing!
Aww thank you so much and thanks for the support as well
I love your videos. I have to agree with you about the eyes. Adding the glass cabochons really does make them look adorable. Where do you get the glass cabochons? Thank You so much for the tutorials.
Hello my friend!!! I am grateful for your kind words and I get the glass eyes from Amazon mostly but if I can’t find some that I like I just buy clear flat back glass cabachons and paint the eyes onto the flat side… they do have some with the irises already on them but they aren’t always exactly what you’re looking for
Hi..can I ask why you glue the wood letters on before baking?? Also how did you thin the white paint
I used liquid polymer clay to glue the wood letters on before I baked it. And I used acrylic paint and you can thin it with water. Make the paint about half as thick as it normally is if that makes sense. I like it to be the consistency of buttermilk… thinner than glue but thicker than water. I hope that helps and I’ll take some time to show more painting tips in video soon
Hiya what brand of clay do you suggest 🥰
I personally prefer super sculpey but you will have to paint it bc it only comes in beige but if I’m using colored clay my favorite is sculpey Premo… hope this helps. Have a beautiful day
What are the eyes made of?
@@robbieseibert1281 they are glass cabochons… you can either buy them already made eyes on Etsy or Amazon or you can buy clear flat glass beads (plain glass cabochons) and paint the eyes on yourself. I do both. It really depends on the look you’re going for… fun fact about using the glass cabochons eyes, they follow you and maintain eye contact wherever you go when you’re looking at them lol 😊
You have great ideas, your crafting is awesome ! But is it really necessary to start your videos with high kicks? This is a craft channel
😂😂😂 maybe not but I was just having fun. I don’t really do that much anymore. It’s really hard to figure out which parts of your personality you should include in your video but don’t worry I have tamed it down quite a bit lately
