I owned a 2004 4.4 V8 for 14 years. In that time the usual things needed replacing but I can’t say it was unreliable until the end when a nagging transmission issue made me upgrade to a 2015 supercharged which is a beautiful car. This new one looks amazing and it’s good that Land Rover haven’t made a huge departure from the traditional design. Only issue is that with so much tech there’s more things to eventually fail but any range rover owner should know this is part and parcel of owning what is the best 4x4 in the world.

I added the deployable sidestep, the 11” rear seat entertainment, the wine cooler/refrigerator inside the armrest to my 2023 order which I have to wait till God knows when. Can’t wait!

How do you find the infotainment system? Previous models was falling way short compared to others. Is it faster and do the navigation system at least work this time?
Yeah I agree with you. This new pivi pro system is very responsive compared to some of their old tech. So far it’s working well with no lag, I’m hoping the over the air updates with keep it sharp too. The sat nav also works really well no issues so far. Thanks for chatting 👍🏽

Love the look of the "New" Range Rover..! Truly Modern yet still "Classical" without needless bulges and "scoops". In Africa, I owned for a time a 1984 3.5 litre V8 Petrol Range Rover "SE". Lovely car except for 2 minor "niggles", on poorly surfaced roads the top half off the split tail-gate would Always shake looseand the other feature was that inclement weather the drainage channel located at the edge of the roof, would always deposit a little stream of water.. Can't tell how many times I got a wet knee when exiting or entering the car..!! LOL However on the new one I am curious to know where "Reversing" lights are, if any...?

A beautiful SUV that other manufactures envy and strive to be except for the reliability, which frightens me. to buy one. I like driving my cars not storing them at the service bay at the dealership and paying a kings ransom to get them out. Maybe they have gotten most of the bugs out in this current generation but with all the tech, it opens itself up to more glitchy problems.
Bought my first RR when I was 27, a 4.2 S/C L322. Two generations later im 42 years old and love the new one. It's still the Number one. They all have been very reliable. Most people who talk about the "bad reliability" just can't afford it, I guess. If you want one, get one. Before they are electrified. If you want a car everybody calls "reliable", buy a Toyota. I don't mean it in an offending way. Just decide like an intelligent man. I was told never to buy a British car. Truth is, I can't get enough of them. Even the very old ones...just do it.

Its always a gamble with LR. If you get a good one it will be the best car in the world, if you get a bad one like mine it will frustrate you so much you will wish you never got it. My 2015 Vogue with every single extra including the 1700W Meridian Hi-fi, rear reclining heated and cooled seats was brilliant right up until until the 4.4 V8 ate itself for lunch leaving a 30K+ bill for a new engine...... ++ The 4.4 overfuels, (LR knows this but refuses to acknowledge this publicly) this results in a sticky oily mess which eats away the pistons until BOOM - 2 broken conrods and a painful experience with LR who won't help you 1 bit.
How I wish it were possible to out the Lexus reliability into this SUV? It these were as reliable as the Lexus LX, I definitely would buy one of these. Not brand new though. Way outta my budget brand new. I'll wait two three years for it to depreciate to a more realistic price.
You can take a pig 🐖 out of a gutter but you can't take the gutter out of the pig land rover range rover are for bad terrain but the black rims makes it looking old and cheap.

Its always a gamble with LR. If you get a good one it will be the best car in the world, if you get a bad one like mine it will frustrate you so much you will wish you never got it. My 2015 Vogue with every single extra including the 1700W Meridian Hi-fi, rear reclining heated and cooled seats was brilliant right up until until the 4.4 V8 ate itself for lunch leaving a 30K+ bill for a new engine......
++ The 4.4 overfuels, (LR knows this but refuses to acknowledge this publicly) this results in a sticky oily mess which eats away the pistons until BOOM - 2 broken conrods and a painful experience with LR who won't help you 1 bit.

How I wish it were possible to out the Lexus reliability into this SUV? It these were as reliable as the Lexus LX, I definitely would buy one of these. Not brand new though. Way outta my budget brand new. I'll wait two three years for it to depreciate to a more realistic price.
